The city of Williamsburg is like stepping back in time. Well, in the historic district anyway. Founded in 1632, many of the settlement’s original structures still stand today as museums – all of Duke of Gloucester Street is a living history museum.
Because of its long-standing historical significance, tourism has a huge presence in Williamsburg. Other attractions that make up this fully-progressive city include Virginia’s oldest winery as well as a botanical garden.
The College of William and Mary, the nation’s second-oldest school, resides in Williamsburg. Its campus is in walking distance of historic sites, award-winning restaurants, taverns, and boutiques.
Williamsburg residents enjoy a plethora of conveniences, including direct access to major roadways and public transit. For those who enjoy golf, the Golden Horseshoe Golf Course is minutes away from town.

Property Ratings at Regency at Longhill
I moved here 2 months ago the apartment itself is ok very thin you can clearly hear your neighbors walking and talking. the balcony small barely can put anything on it when it rains balcony becomes wet. maintenance great so far had minor issues they fixed right away they lost alot of staff here most are temps. they were repainting the parking lot that stopped you can barely see numbers n letter they have some parking with double lines that were never fixed. Its very dark out where you park your cars no lighting there for safety .the lights on building come on around 9pm..pool area small only 2 tables with umbrella playground beside it so the kids from pool come there and make the slides wet no swings for kids park needs update equipment. managers in office was notify but nothing is never done here cant keep office staff as well
The Maintenance Team is incredibly helpful; especially two gentlemen, Sonny and Russell Thanks guys! Your hard work is noted, and to the ladies in the office I appreciated you keeping me updated through out the day.
If you are looking for a horrible place to live this is your place. A new company took over a couple of years ago and this place has gone down hill ever since. The maintenance men who were here only last less than 2 years. The grounds are disgusting .They have recently raised the rents to an exorbitant amount without any warning. I have spoken with several residents and they are devastated. The office personnel leave a lot to be desired. Their answer to any changes are it is "corporate". Fortunately, I am getting out of here in the near future. It's unfortunate because until this new company took over I always thought I would be here for many years.

This place has new administration, and they don’t really care about people who live in these apartments. My car’s Catalytic converter was stolen and administration was not able to alert everyone who live here about it. You will see tenants come and go. I have been living here for almost 6 years but with this year will be my last because of the new administration.

Lived at Regency at Longhill a little over a year. We have seen office staff as well as maintenance staff come and go. We dealt with severe mold on many occasions with children whom have asthma/allergies and were told it’s “normal” increase of rent with no notice despite lease terms, no upkeep of unit/property grounds a mess, no preventative Maint, lack of communication amongst office staff, any Maint request the reply was “it’s not their responsibility “ package service removed with no notice office barely open. Poor management all around.

First it’s quite and really nice but my problem is the bugs are really bad and I told the front office about it and they sent the pest control twice and I’m still having bugs all over my front door at night. Ants in the bedroom window. I just decided that If you want something done right you have to do it yourself.
I lived at Regency for 2 years and loved it! The location is excellent-easily accessibility to shopping, restaurants and the attractions Williamsburg has to offer. The office staff is the best! They were very good about doing things around the holidays for the residents and seemed to enjoy doing it. A more friendly office staff can't be found. They were simply awesome. One of the most unique features of this apartment complex is the snow removal process. I never had to worry snow removal because they did it for us. Maintenance requests were handled quickly and efficiently without delays. Joe in the Maintenance Department is outstanding. He always had the attitude that he wanted to help you and didn't act as though the request was an inconvenience. I really enjoyed my two years at Regency. If you want value for your money, great location, quite and safe neighborhood then you will not be disappointed. The great office and maintenance staff are just an added bonus.
Overall: Fair pricing, fair facilities, and pretty safe environment. The location is PERFECT if you want to be separated from the tourists and students, while still have great access to Richmond Road, Route 199, and New Town and Colonial Williamsburg is less than 10 minutes away. Pricing: It was fair enough to come back for a second year, but didn't keep us from looking for cheaper places. We added a third roommate pretty quickly into our lease which was a great move. Definitely enough space in a 2 bedroom (and den) for 3 people. When I move, I won't necessarily miss the price value, but I also know it could be a lot worse (and likely would in Williamsburg). Facilities: They aren't that nice to begin with, but they are well-maintained. There are pools, a short walking trail, a tennis court, and a playground, but I haven't felt compelled to use any because they aren't super nice. But once again, they are well-maintained and plenty of people use them. Safety: I've never felt unsafe and I feel comfortable letting my girlfriend walk to her car at night by herself (I swear I'm usually a gentleman). You head down the road a little bit, and there are much sketchier locations that put it into perspective. This is Williamsburg, after all -- about 95% of the city and surrounding area is very safe. That said, I have seen cop cars responding to calls in the complex, but it doesn't really bother me because I know my neighbors and feels as though they are trustworthy people. Plenty of older people and children live there too and I think that shows how safe it can be. It is absolutely perfect for a group of college/graduate students (who don't plan on hosting too many parties...), but I wouldn't try and start/raise a family here.
I've lived at Regency at Longhill for 1.5 years. The apartments are well kept and the maitanence people are professional and very timely. The office staff is wonderful and the rent is very affordable. I'm a single mother and have always felt very safe.
So many apartments in Williamsburg either have great amenities but are incredibly expensive or are affordable but feel unsafe or are falling apart. I looked at every possibility in the area, and after living there for 7 months, I can say that Regency at Longhill was definitely the best compromise of affordability and amenities. Most of the units have been recently renovated, and they all have W/D in the unit (major plus for me). I love having access to the TWO pools, and the ladies in the office are so friendly! Most importantly for me, the complex is very dog-friendly. The only drawback is that Regency does not have a dog run, but there is so much space to walk/run and a trail! The complex is only a few minute drive from New Town and other shopping centers, and maybe a 10 minute drive from the William & Mary campus and Colonial Williamsburg. I'd definitely recommend Regency to anybody moving to Williamsburg!
