Property Ratings at Regency Park Apartments
This is an awesome place to live. The staff and maintenance are great. I have been here over 15 years now. Close to shopping and mall and restaurant.
I’ve lived here for a few years now and I love my actual apartment, it’s really big and spacious and you can’t find anything this size for the amount you pay anywhere else. However, the actual building is run down, barely maintained, cleaned rarely, and communication with management is very poor. Rarely do you get a response, there isn’t enough cleaning or maintenance staff to keep up with the large property.
I have had nothing but problems since day one here. They got my move in date mixed up. I pay for a carport, but don’t do anything about it if someone parks there. Staff is rude, especially the manager. My apartment was flooded. They only comped me a few days when I was out for over a week. My bathroom sink is leaking and they have these stupid “inspections” every yea. One year I woke up to one of the staff standing over me while I was sleeping. I hate it here and I’m desperate to move out of this terrible place.
I lived here 4 years ago and moved out into a newer more expensive apartment. I'v now moved back in to my huge very nice home! They will be adding a washer and dryer to my unit next month which was the only thing I did not like but the laundry room has brand new machines that I never have to wait for so its all good. I recommend this place to anyone who wants a great place without paying more than a house payment would be.
I love this community because its beautifully landscaped and my apartment is very roomy! My only complaint is parking, but what do you expect from city living. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend Regency Park If you are looking for a great place to live!
This is my 5th year living at Regency Park. To my surprise, there was negative reviews and decided to let everyone know of my experience and why I re-signed for the 5th year. The building I’m in is quiet and everyone is for the most part respectful. You will come across careless people that don’t close the front entry door all the way or leave their trash in the post office cubbies. The actual apartments are way bigger than any others I’ve seen. This is important to me because I work from home and need the extra space. The building is older and sometimes things will break. Maintenance comes out and fixes it, I’ve never had a problem with things getting Fixed. The office staff always greet me with a smile. They take the time to get to know you. On occasion, stop by just to say hello and chat.
I have lived here for 17 months in that time we have had multiple problems with water damage. I put in a work order for repair it stays open for about 5 days then they just close the work order out. My place which is 1026.95 a month is literally falling apart all 3 floors of the foundation is cracked. Which means every door sticks because the foundation is not level. we no longer have had a functional laundry room. Our ceiling fan is broke due to water damage. Our kitchen sink leaks so bad that the drawer beside it became so water-logged the front of it broke off. 2 sliding glass doors, neither of which lock. The water damage destroyed the inside wiring so att uverse no longer gets service. When we take a shower (upstairs) the kitchen\dining room ceiling leaks water. I been around and around with maintenance, they flat out refuse to come. When maintenance would still come I had an emergency work order in for 8 days before anything was done. I had water pouring along the kitchen wall down to the laundry room in the middle of winter. Which caused a 5 inch layer of solid ice outside our front door and all along the walkway. It built up so high for so long that our kitchen window broke from all the ice buildup. Maintiance solution: give me a bag of salt....Parking is a joke. Good luck getting a spot, even if you have a paid carport they don't enforce anything so people still park in your spot even though you pay an extra 35 bucks a month for it. Sadly these are only some of the problems we have encountered while living here. Ask yourself is it really worth all the trouble, I will definitely not be renewing my lease and plan to tell as many people about how horrible it is. My wife is so fed up she is calling the city inspector to come out and tells me not to pay rent till it's fixed.
The only negative reviews about this complex that I have seen were concerning the maintenance people. They're extremely condescending when they do bother to show up and work orders would be in place for a month or more before I would even see someone to fix the problem with my apartment. This apartment was $40 a month cheaper than other apartments I looked at but the problems with maintenance people not bothering to do their jobs and the front desk people not caring about my dissatisfactions with their management really wasn't worth the $40 a month I saved by living there. I've moved out and have never been happier. Seriously, don't live here, it's not worth the trouble.
I've been with this apartment for about a year and a half now. The landowners were nice enough. Maintenance when we first were living here was unprofessional at first. With the new maintenance supervisor, that changed thankfully. Our town home was a little outdated. There was no moisture barrier in the shower area so if the toilet or bathtub flooded, we would be getting water leaking into the dining room which had the main light fixture hanging from. The stove/oven was next to the wall of the kitchen and every time we opened the oven door, we were scrapping paint off the wall. We couldn't even open the oven door all the way due to how close it was to the door. The windows weren't sealed well so expect to pay more for your electric and gas bill. They also use to allow dogs, but due to changes in policy, they restricted dogs, even though they allowed to grandfather some dogs into the complex which I believe is unfair. Neighborhood was pretty decent. We're located right behind a high school stadium so expect some traffic during the fall months when football season is going for that school. Other than some of those gripes I've written, the complex is alright. Not the best, but not the worst either.
Great location in SE Grand Rapids Nestled in residential neighborhood Close to schools, shopping -- great eateries close by Large 3 level home with walkout; private patio that faces wooded area Mechanical room with washer/dryer & loads of storage Galley kitchen w/stainless appliances Hardwood floors on main level w/1/2 bath, large open dining & living room Gas fireplace in living room w/balcony off living room 2 large bedrooms w/huge closet space on 2nd floor Full bath upstairs & linen closet Moved from their high-rise around the corner-- been in townhouse 6 month?? I've added my own decorating style to make it my home??
Regency Park Apartments have very nice housing units and a very nice landscape We've lived here for 7 years. They do a very good job in keeping the pool and common areas clean. However our neighbors are not very friendly. Though my wife and I have lived here for 7 years many of our neighbors rudely stare. There is not a great since of community. But I will say they make a conscious effort to maintain the cosmetics.
I have watery damage that hasn't been taken care of in over a year
