Extending along Roxboro Road from Stanley Road to Braggtown, Weaver is a terrific neighborhood that provides fast access to the entire Triangle region. The north end of the neighborhood follows the Eno River. On the western edge of the neighborhood, West Point on the Eno, a large historic park, covers 404 acres and includes a reconstructed mill, hiking trails, and picnic areas. The McCown-Mangum House Museum and the Schoolhouse of Wonder are also on the west side of Weaver.
While Weaver is a residential neighborhood, you'll find a variety of shops and restaurants along Roxboro Road. On the southern end of Weaver, there's additional shopping and Duke Regional Hospital. This section is also home to the Durham County Stadium, the Edison Johnson Aquatics Center, and Rock Quarry Park. This popular park includes a rec center, a splash pad, and ball fields.

Property Ratings at Regency Place Apartments
I resided at Regency Place Apartments for about four years… I moved in in 2016 after going by with a friend who was looking for an apartment. She decided on someplace else, but I loved it, and decided to move there. It was my very first apartment! I was able to get a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment that was spacious, and very affordable. Among the many amenities that it had to offer, I loved my living room’s cathedral ceiling, my walk-in closets, my pantry and utility closet in the kitchen, and my fireplace for the winter months; as well, I loved my front and back patio spaces. (One of my favorite pastimes was gardening out front, setting up walkway lights and pretty flowers.) In addition to the apartment being all-out awesome, it was very conveniently located. I had access to food stores and restaurants, that were all within walking distance, and even places to take my dog. In the four years that I was at Regency Place, from 2016-2020, I loved my experience. If ever I were to move back to Durham, which I had hoped that I would be, I would certainly consider moving back there. I loved the people that I met at Regency Place… The staff was always very courteous, welcoming, considerate, helpful, and attentive, among other things; Morgan, Patrick, Jose, just to name a few. Whenever I had an issue, no matter the time of day or night, it was always taken care of expeditiously. The staff was always quick to get back to me whenever I called the maintenance line. As well, I was always made aware (ahead of time) if there were going to be any changes taking place, or if someone was going to need access to my apartment. I love how I always felt seen, heard, and acknowledged at Regency Place… Little things, like asking how I was doing, or how my family was doing, or how work was going. Even my dog, Dallas, was loved on so much anytime that we were seen out and about. (I know that he misses living there, too.) Unfortunately, due to a personal situation, I had to leave Regency Place and relocate, but I miss it every day. I would recommend Regency Place Apartments to anyone looking to live in the Durham area. For me, it was a wonderful first on-my-own experience, and I am very grateful to the persons, the staff, who helped make it so. ~ JS & D
I no longer live at Regency Place but if I were to move back to Durham I would choose to live here. The staff is amazing and Tommy has worked there i know for almost 25 years or so. They've made alot of improvments and continue to do so. I mean even the famous Crazy Towel Guy from the Duke basketball games called this place home one time. DNU
DO NOT MOVE HERE! MY APT GOT BROKEN INTO, MY CAR & MY CAR EVEN GOT STOLEN! Manager didnt even care to ask what happened when she saw us with the police! When they first gave us the apt nothing was touched up they were barely putting on the carpet the SAME day we were suppose to get the keys! Maintenance sucks as well they were so cheap with all the appliances & our apartment never got touched up from the previous renters. I never felt save!!!
PLEASE whatever you do, do not move here. I moved here (first apartment) in July of 2016. I was ready to move out by October. Cabinets are sticky, rusted faucets and drain system. Stove tops are dirty with crud in the burners of the stoves. The dishwasher has to be run at least twice to properly clean the dishes and if you have an upstairs apartment your tub will squeak HORRIBLY every time you shower. I asked about that and was told "yeah they weren't installed properly." You will also hear your neighbors tub squeaking through the walls whenever they decide to shower. My toilet once got stopped up 3 times in one week and I lived in a one bedroom apartment. Neighbors are rude and have no respect for others. They will scream, talk loudly outside at 2, 3 or 4 in the morning on a weeknight and forget about calling the curtesy officer. When they show up they try to make you feel like an idiot for even calling. Worst place ever and I'm so excited to move out of it.
