Yuma's historic downtown began as a rope crossing for the Colorado River in the 1840s. The earliest adobe homes were lost to floods in the early 1900s, and the current buildings along Main Street were built in the 1920s. Because of this, Downtown Yuma has a definite art deco flair, blending with the desert landscape and the palm trees to create a beautifully unique neighborhood. With its fountains and brick-paved walkways, Historic Main Street is the ideal location for festivals and street fairs.
Residents and visitors can take history (or ghost!) tours, all starting at the Sanguinetti House Museum. This adobe home was built in 1857 and includes beautiful gardens. The Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park includes six historic buildings dating back to the Indian Wars of the late 1800s. During the late 1800s, the Territory of Arizona also established a prison. Today, it is a museum at the Yuma Territorial Prison State Historical Park.

Property Ratings at Regency Square
I was declined cuz of my low credit. I am a senior widower and had lots of experiences from funeral and medical expenses. Very able to pay their rent, but they wouldn't give me a chance. Very hurtful to treat seniors that way. I was very excited about the property, by time I drove home I had a decline letter in my mail. WOW,
WARNING,WARNING, WARNING!! This is a WARNING Don’t be stupid the apartments are not worth the headaches. Management and the girl “Paloma” in the front office are Rude. The only thing I say that is good landscaping is manicured beautifully. Maintenance really really sucks they never come prepared to do the job.

Make sure you read your lease's fine print! We found out the hard way that it's a $2,000 fee if you need to leave early. We asked them to work with us, and even gave them a letter from my employer explaining that the Army was speeding up my program ahead of schedule. I am moving to provide specialized support for a program who's sole purpose is keeping soldiers alive. Technically yes, we are breaking our lease and understand the requirement to pay the fine. But when all that management tells us is "we are not obligated to waive to fee", we can't help but feel that this is just greed. The apartment complex is not great. The laundry room is not air conditioned. Only 2 of the washing machines are able to drain water, and only 2 or 3 dryers provide hot air. And because the laundry rooms are outsourced to another company, management has no financial incentive to fix them. We ended up becoming friends with someone at the apartment complex across the street and just used their [amazing] laundry facilities (that cost the same, by the way). There have been multiple days where water is completely shut off for repair work (when you choose the cheapest contractor, it's no surprise when they need to re-do something). We had to go to the gym to take showers these days. The front office has posted hours, but don't be surprised if no one is there. We've waited outside the locked office for hours (during open hours) to pick up a mail package that arrived and they signed for, only to have no-one show up. The room/unit itself was fine. We walked through it before signing the lease, so we knew what we were getting for the price. Our unit's HVAC unit was loud and inefficient, but it worked.

Dear Brighton, We appreciate your patience and collaboration throughout this situation. We understand your circumstance; however, per federal law, we are not allowed to waive early departure penalties unless you are an active duty military member. As with any other resident, our team is willing to work out a payment plan that works for you. If you would like to set this up, please stop by our leasing office. We hope to reach a resolution soon. Sincerely, Adelina Zambrano, Community Manager
I don't know what kind of people get on and make fake reviews for their own apartment but this place is definitely a dump. They tried to charge us an extra months rent because we didn't give them a "90 day moveout notice" when we already agreed on a lease end date. Management were scum and double charged us for carpet cleaning and lied about it. They were friendly at first, but wait until you sign the lease, then you become a nuisance.

Dear Former Resident, We’re disheartened to read that you’re unhappy with our move-out policy. We take great pride in providing transparent communication so we would love the opportunity to speak with you. We welcome you to call our office if you would like to discuss your experience in more detail. We look forward to your call and clearing up any miscommunication. Thank you for your feedback and we wish you the best in your new home. All the best, Adelina Zambrano, Community Manager
I have lived at Regency Square since 2013. There have been a lot of changes over the last several years, But if you're polite and patient with the office staff they always sort out problems and get things taken care of as quickly as they can. They are very thoughtful ladies who are willing to make sure your stay is comfortable and that you get maintenance as soon as is possible. Fortunately most of my maintenance issues over the years have been minor, but they always get them fixed in a reasonable amount of time and the maintenance staff is really polite! My lease is ending this summer and I plan to renew for another year, I can't imagine moving elsewhere unless I was leaving the city completely!

My wife and I have had so many problems here the list is to long to name, do not be fooled by friendly staff these apartments are poorly built and just plain awful.
Great Location! Great staff that will only tell you the truth! The apartments are smaller but they are pretty open which makes them feel much larger. I have lived here for a year and I could not be more happy. A great place to live.
