Property Ratings at Regents Walk
There was a steady decline in livability. The final straw was when management would not address a serious rat infestation. We moved. Regents Walk has huge sq. ft. in the townhomes compared to other rentals. We lived in three different sized townhomes which all have slightly different floorplans variations. While I can't speak to current conditions, the prompt attention to problems will depend on whom is currently in management. RAMMCO is too disconnected to care.
I am a resident of RBBC apartments on Bateswood Drive in Houston, TX. Since last Thursday, December 7th, the water heater has been out of service. That was the night of the cold snap in Houston when there was snow. It is now Tuesday, December 12th. Despite empty promises from management, the water heater is still not functional and residents are subject to cold water and, in some cases, freezing temperatures. Residents should not have to pay rent when reasonable expectations are not being met. 5 days to repair or replace a water heater is absurd. Residents should be entitled to some sort of compensation. The saddest part is now that I've written you all, along with several other entities to report this issue, the water heater will be repaired with urgency. Management does a poor job and it's clear that they don't have any personal stake in this property. More than likely they don't live on site. I'd imagine that if they did, we would have hot water by now.
I've lived in Brighton Oaks for a year and 2 months now! I just renewed my lease and with just that being said, someone renewing their lease has to mean something good. The complex consists of 4 different complexes in one. All the same company but different styles. The acronym they use is RBBC, Regents Walk, Bateswood Manor, Brighton Oaks, and Country Walk. The area is wonderful! It's located on Memorial in between Kirkwood and Dairy Ashford. There are many surroundings such as restaurants, fast food, 3 different grocery stores(Kroger, HEB, and Randall's), a pharmacy, a vet clinic, auto shops, and last but not least, schools. It's a great family community with the elementary school right down the block, the middle school behind the property and the high school around the corner. Everything is walking distance! Also if you like exercising there is a bike trail right down the road on Kirkwood and a park behind the property next to the middle school. It's a quiet and calm community. The maintenance is very helpful also, if you are to ever encounter a problem with your unit, they come in a very timely fashion. And the ladies in the office are super sweet and helpful. Overall I've enjoyed living in this complex!
They are spacious apts, good prices. But tend to cut corners, take a while with some maint. requests. They close the office early without notice, take forever to answer phones if at all, and say they don't always get emails or after hour messages. Make sure all service requests are in writing and keep for your records!
