Property Ratings at Renaissance
Long story short moved in 2020 left this month. When we moved in the house wasn’t cleaned thoroughly dog stains dog hair every where in refrigerator cabinets carpet and bathrooms house smelled horrible We informed them they told us the carpet was cleaned & will have it cleaned again still wasn’t good enough so it got replaced. We just moved out no problems house cleaned carpet still brand new just dirt stains from shoes that I’ve cleaned multiple times before with no problem. They are telling us that we have to pay for new carpet because they can’t get the stain out but NEVER had anybody come out to clean the carpet to prove that the stain was unable to come out now they’re trying to keep our deposit and have us pay an extra 300$ for something that can be cleaned. The lady we spoke to was very rude and wasn’t making any sense and trying to avoid the fact that they never had someone come out and clean the carpet. this place is not worth the money I just moved into a HUGE HOUSE for the same price in a beautiful neighborhood. The stairs is full of dirt dog hair & cigarettes. paint always peeling off the bathroom tubs and kitchen counters peel and very easily stains. towel hangers can’t stay in place theres not enough closet space. I am a very clean person and left that place in good hands and I have 3 toddlers. They just want to keep peoples money they aren’t fair here. YOU CAN FIND BETTER!
During the last year and a half I found at least 10 scorpions in my unit and I found many more outside the unit (patio, and by my door). I told the office and they have a pet control company come to spay. It doesn’t get rid of the scorpions. I talked to the office manager Alison about the issue and she said they aren’t responsible for providing a safe living environment. I also asked why they didn’t disclose to me before I moved in that they had a scorpion problem. She said they don’t have a scorpion problem. Which is insane for her to deny the problem when I talk to the other office staff and pest control and neighbors, they all confirmed that a lot of the units have scorpions. She was also not apologetic and sympathetic about the situation. Rather she was rude and talked to down to me. Its awful being forced to stay living with dangerous scorpions when we have a small child in the house.
It was a nice place back in 2015. Now carry pepper spray at all times, I encountered people looking to score drugs, tweakers and homeless on a regular basis. Lights were out in the stairwells and parking areas frequently. Management could care less as they don't live there. My neighbors violated there lease and instead of them being evicted the manager extended their lease. If you like the smell of pot and cigarettes this is the place for you. The pool (when it was open) was used by non residents on a regular basis. Good luck getting anything fixed in a timely fashion (the actual maintenance men are great) however the management didn't care how long it took to fix things.
I completely understand that apartments can go up and down depending on demand.that being said, I went there with every intention to sign a lease but they said they would not let me see anything for three days. I went back three days later and the same apartment was $100 more. All they had to do was let me know that would have been the case... instead they try and get $100 more out of me. $100 x13 adds up.
The apartments are great. If something went wrong the maintenance guys were always there the same day or the following day and fixed the situation. There were two times i had an issue with my rent and the staff worked with me with the situation. Usually apartment staff do not care but the Renaissance staff did. plus for the staff to know you by name when they rarely see you is amazing. I'm glad i chose this place when i moved to Arizona.
I have lived here for a few years now, and I have always felt at home here! Plenty of room for parking, great customer care, and a maintenance staff that is quick to help! Unfortunately, they "up" their prices each year... so much so that I can no longer afford to live here. Another disappointment is the size of the kitchens in the smaller apartments. Not to mention, NO room for storing anything. Bring lots of shelving with you! Good luck and happy home hunting!
This is the perfect location for students looking to rent while attending ASU West in Phoenix, Arizona. The Renaissance is located across the street from ASU West. Although perfect for students, also excellent for family living. Pets are welcome and there is a community dog park located on the property. The apartments have ample square footage, larger than most in the area, with fireplaces and balconies that overlook the beautifully manicured lawns with towering palm trees, sparkling pools and barbecue areas. It is a quiet community and everyone is seemingly friendly. Monthly the Renaissance staff has a themed get-together, which includes free lunch and beverages, along with holiday activities. The staff is quick and timely in resolving any apartment complaints and always with a pleasant attitude. I have come to enjoy my stay at the Renassance Apartments.
