Property Ratings at Renaissance St. Andrews
We had several issues with the neighbors above us. Management did nothing about it. Needs and trash drooped onto my deck. Roaches everywhere had to take care of them myself. They will nickel and dime you to death. Don't walk away, run away from this place.
Issue started the first day we moved in. Neighbors really loud. Would fight from 10pm to 4am in the morning. Roaches, mice in the apartment! Name it! Repairs not being done. Worst part is i was never late in paying rent but they billed me twice in May! Went to office and talked to management but had me waiting for days! I was even told that email confirmation of payment is not a guarantee that I paid them!
We had nothing but problems with neighbors above us. The rent is way to high. Any concern you have is never addressed. I would not want my worst enemy to rent from here.
Me and my cousin went to tour and there was bugs everywhere we couldn’t even get in the door at first we had to push our body weight against the door . They need to clean the property
Do not rent from here! There is currently a severe roach infestation they refuse to properly treat. Management either makes excuses or flat out ignores our complaints. Whoever they use for pest control doesn't know what they are doing.

Managers are Rude and very disrespectful whenever you have a real important complain about something you already paying for they wont care and will ask if you want to move out, very dirty apartments!!!!

I recently moved in and feel compelled to share my experience thus far. The good: - The size and condition of the apartments is decent given the rent. - The grounds appear to be fairly well maintained. - The community appears to be pet-friendly. - The location is reasonably good. - They provide a security alarm in the apartment. It's unclear to me if it's actually connected to a monitoring station, but a unique offering nonetheless. The bad: - Their leasing staff is not very proactive with communication. Be prepared to send them follow-ups and wait (even days in some cases) to get a response as it relates to your move-in details. - The estimated move in date is just that - an estimate. Be prepared to have it pushed back because "the prior resident didn't move out when expected" (as if that should be allowed) or "we are down a maintenance person" (as if that should be the tenant's problem). - Although they used to have a front gate (to provide additional security), it has been removed. It's no longer a gated community. - THEY DO NOT PROVIDE LIGHTING IN BEDROOMS. As bizarre as it sounds (I've never seen this in any apartment complex I've lived in), you are responsible for your own lighting in the bedrooms. If there happens to be a light in the ceiling or a ceiling fan, it's because a prior tenant provided it. They put a light switch on the wall, but don't expect it to actually do anything. One must wonder why they bother providing lighting in any room if they can't provide it in a bedroom. - There is no outgoing mail slot -- something I've again never seen in any apartment complex. Apparently you must take outgoing mail to the post office yourself. - Be prepared to walk some distance to your apartment from your vehicle due to a lack of parking in front of buildings.

I had a last minute move in and needed to get an apartment ASAP. Franchesca in the office was outstanding at moving the process along and getting back to me quickly. Thankful to have worked with someone professional and timely, as well as empathetic to my urgent move!
The first day I moved in I was met with trashbags in my hallway with rotting food with a swarm of bugs. It took them more than 3 days to pick it up. They left the floor stained and sticky with garbage liquids. The week after another person left 2 trash bags of rotten food out in the hallway that are all torn into by animals and rats. I have to walk through a swarm of flies to get into my room. Around the building people toss trash of their balconies and into the trees. We have to pay 25$ a month for a daily trash valet service but they only come once a week so people just toss the trash in the hall.
A very well maintained environment. Professional kind staff. Parking is a major issue. Some apartments are newer than others so make sure you check out more than one available place. I give 3 out of 5 stars.
Wonderful community personnel and magnificent apartment. I have only lived here for a couple of weeks and I am very happy. It is very peaceful and serene here. The atmosphere in this community is friendly and inviting Thank you
Upon looking for a new home, we came here. We were greeted very nicely, and all personel have been very helpful.
Great place to live and its quiet they keep the grounds clean
Friendly office staff and attentive maintenance staff, but the unit does not seem to have been given a proper walkthrough prior to move in.
I visited recently and the pool area was super nice and it had a beautiful view of the mountains. During the tour, Megan was super helpful and friendly. 10/10 will recommend.
I love living here. The grounds are beautiful. My apartment is very large and comfortable.
I have had nothing but good experiences here with Staff and residents. Always clean laundry and common areas. Beautiful view at night.
Quite and safe living
There’s people constantly thumping their music while driving in the parking lot at all times. Its hard to sleep at times due to the noise level. This isn’t the best side of town as it is. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone.
I hope by posting this review it saves people from going through hell that is called renaissance. I’ve never been treated so bad in my life. When I first came to the office everyone was so nice. We wanted a 2 bedroom but at that time none were available. So we ask how long it would be to get that one. We were told no long because the people that lived in it still had to move out. We said we could wait as long as it was no longer then a week or so. Finally they called and said we could come on over to move in. When we got there one of the ladies said we need to get a money order for the difference in a one bedroom to the 2 bedroom. I ran to get it. But the office was closed. 2 days later we gave it to them and handed us the keys. When we got in the place was trashed. We were told it would get cleaned. 5 days later we moved in. My point to all of this is. Are move in data was September the 9th. Come October we called to ask how much we needed a money order for. They said 1200.00. That’s what we got it for and drop it off. A few days later we got a note on the door that claimed we didn’t pay anything and we bounced a check to them. First of all they said you couldn’t pay by check. Also we did pay our rent. As unbelievable as this sounds they said we didn’t pay September rent. How can that be we ask. The replay was because we moved in on August 24. I was stunned and dumbfounded. Then she said that the money we paid for October rent was not expected because it wasn’t enough. But they kept it. Now they are trying to evict us. In all my life I have never seen or heard anything like this. So please please stay away from this place. I promise you won’t regret it.
This apartment is horrible! Within a month of moving in there was a MURDER right outside my door! This place is extremely expensive! They charge you water every month and it’s always $80+ and in the summer months they charge you $120+ because they fill the pool up! I smell Weed in my apartment ALL the time and I’ve tried to tell management and they’ve done nothing! There is absolutely NO parking whatsoever! You’d have to stay in your spot all day in order to maintain it. I parked in an area that didn’t have a sign (that said no parking) and my car got towed even though there was no sign and no other spots! It was a $200 towing fee! It’s like they expect you to just sleep in your car for the night and not use your apartment! The flooring here is extremely cheap and you can’t move any of your furniture or even have heavy travel in your apartment with out it tearing. And then they expect you to pay $800 to fix it!!! We only lived here for a year and I couldn’t wait to get out! For the price you could get a much better apartment! Don’t waste your time and money here!
It is the best apartment i had ever had, and it is very clean Thanks
That side of Louisville is problematic - I worked at Fort Knox so that's the primary reason I lived there, otherwise I would have live in East Louisville somewhere. Residents don't take care of the property - in that they leave trash out on the road a lot, the staff does a good job of keeping it clean. However if the trash compactor facility was closer of better maintained I think that may help.
I went there and they gave me a tour, really pretty and good price, took the application and turned it in at the next day, suddenly the price went up almost 50 dollars and their only explanation is "prices change, if you had turned in the papers the same day and move, you would have the price that was told"( I went there on a Thursday at 4.00 pm,and they ask for a lot of info in their application), now they have already cash the conveniently non-refundable check and offering me to be in a waiting list for when the prices are more favorable, obviously I am not longer interested to live in a place with such unprofessional management!
Landscaping is beautiful. You can tell the staff and residents take care of this property. The floorplans are spacious and have a variety of options which I like. I always like to judge for myself and not always go by others reviews. I am impressed.

Thank you for your positive review! Our staff works very hard in maintaining the community daily. It is so nice to hear when someone appreciates that. We love our residents!! We hope that you will decide to make Renaissance a place to call Home. Thank you, Holly C. Community Manager
I think the apartments are nice but every time I either flush the toilet or run the sink water you can hear the pipes making a loud tapping noise for about 5 minutes. There is no parking and the management put a time limit on when you can have visitors which I feel that they should make another parking lot

I would recommend this apartment community to others because it very peaceful. I wouldn?t recommend apartments community to others who have cars because it?s hard to get parking

We do offer garages for lease if you are interested. Thank you again for your review and please let us know if there is anything you need.
I'd recommend it if it improves the types of residents allowed to live there. The trash bin issues need to improve also.

Thank you for the 5 star review! Your feedback is important to us! We like to hear when residents are happy! Please let us know if there is anything else you need.
My only complaint about the apt community is I believe there could be a better use of the interior lot instead of garages and paid parking spots. Maybe enlarging the rec and pool areas as well as providing more free parking spaces.
The split floor plan is a plus, size, washer dryer hook up in apartment. Level floor plan offered. Garage spaces. Beautiful entrance.
I liked what I saw. And the leasing agent ( Kamille ) was so nice & pleasant to talk to.
friends went to move in went and got the money to pay the deposit rent and signed the lease and they decided that they were going to charge them a addition 500.00 but didn't tell them intill after we had all their stuff their to move in didn't mention that they could be chrarged a additional fee DO NOT RENT FROM HERE THEY ARE CROOKS
The renters and some visitors have little respect for picking up there own trash. They toss it all around the grounds with no respect for others. Maintenance has to pick-up there trash each and every day. Trash is always left outside the trash compactor generally for people that do not live in the complex and is an eye sore till the next morning when maintenance has to again pick-up. Offic folks are great and if it was not for there great attitude, we would not be staying here.
This property and professional management staff, honestly, sells itself. But I am HAPPY to brag, and to recommend this complex to anyone!
Everybody was very friendly, Stephanie explained everything to me and made me feel as if I was talking with a friend instead of a stranger.
The only problem there was the parking. There was not enough parking and resident had to many friends coming over and take up all the parking space. I was not happy with the parking space.
I have been bragging to everyone I know about how nice my new apartment is - happy to do so!
The place is nice but the staff is very bad especially the manger her name is Angie is VERY rude and unfriendly.I'm not going to renow my lease , It used to be good and nice once I moved but once they change the staff , it turns down I don't recommended .
I would recommend it because of the quality of the apartments but no so much because of the price of rent.
Pet friendly. Great garages. The only negatives are the utility charges.
Parking is awful and there is a bit of loud neighbor dramas in the streets occasionally but overall I like the apartment and the staff
The biggest issue I have is the parking. People are parking in handicapped spots and don't have stickers for this property nor to park in a handicap spot.
I have recommended this community to friends however I have mentioned to them the less than ideal parking problem I outlined above
Overall, I really like this place a lot - especially the floor plan. Parking could be better, but that's mainly due to the location. The garbage dumpster situation is a little annoying, maybe a better solution could be made in the future perhaps.
Great staff, good neighbors (except for some rowdiness in the upstairs, but that is expected), and seems affordable with the salary I make.
