Its great living at the Renata I was a tenant for 8 years and only bad thing I had ever experienced was no notice when pool was closed and some roaches. The manger was great Ashley and always helpful when I need assistance. Maintenace was always quick to fix a situation. To be honest I miss it there it was great price and convenient to all sides of town.

Every week our mail is stolen and nothing is done to protect our mail. The staff doesn't even act like it is a problem! Do not move here!
Attempted to charge me a bunch of extra fees after moveout. Additionally, they purposefully tried to obfuscate these fees by adding and then subtracting approximately a half a dozen different various fees on my account, which made it difficult to see what I was actually being charged for. I called and left a voice mail asking for a clear explanation of these fees. They never responded. Ended up having to pay over $100 that was never fully explained. I do not recommend living here.
***SAVE YOUR MONEY DON'T APPLY HERE*** They use an outsourced background check service that isn't accurate for credit and and other background material. I had a terrible experience with them and ultimately I was given the run around and had to pay non refundable fees just to be embarrassed by false reports. Now I have another inquiry on my report and lost $250.00. I would recommend skipping this property and taking your chances elsewhere .

My wife an I have been living here for just over a year now, and so far I have been pulling teeth with management, and maintenance for basic amenities. The unit is constructed poorly with the floor separating from the walls just about in every room, with wall outlets working half of the time and a sagging foundation that locks doors shut. The maintenance people are constantly changing out and are therefore under trained. An example of this is when just recently we requested for our hot water looked at (again for the 5th or more time) because it lasts for 10 mins or less and we have a baby on the way. When help arrived a few weeks later nothing happened except quick troubleshooting. The maintenance man concluded an electrical issue was causing the hot water heater to tripped and reset after some time, this is fine because it seemed like progress was on the way, but then he began to brag about how he just installed a water heater in a different unit and that he didn't understand the wiring having three wires vs two. I've been studying electrical engneering for a few years and kindly began to explain why some equipment uses three wires besides two, he quickly became offended/dejected and changed his story of the AC system having four wires now, I noticed he was trying to save face, so I told him, "in a nutshell its for safty" and quickly changed the subject to something he would likely know more about. Ultimately this ended up him lying to us about more help coming by, we still have the same problem to this day, the hot water issue began about three months ago. Before this unpleasant visit, we talked to the main office in person and over the phone multiple times, only to have them 'forget' us completly multiple times. Thanks, Kati. Neglect seems to be the way things work here, air filter changing is ignored, work orders are marked as complete when they have not been, told to me from the main office themselves, and staff frequently saying no one was home when we are, often we try to coordinate our schedule with them but they ignore it and arrive just as were leaving when right when they are closing for the day, and this is all still the tip of the ice burg. We had an enormous mold problem near the front door that grew because no one would show up, and when it was 'fixed' the wood was replaced by a splintery plank that is risky to handle without injury. This isn't worth the price they charge for. All this happing with new management already taken over.
THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE TO LIVE!!!! MAINTANANCE NEVER COMES TO YOUR PLACE NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU CALL AND REQUEST SERVICE ORDERS. THE TWO SWIMMING POOLS HAVE BEEN CLOSED ALLLLL SUMMER LONG WITH CHAINS AND LOCKS. THE OFFICE ALWAYS SAYS THEY'RE WORKING ON THEM YET YOU NEVER SEE ANYONE CARE. WE HAVE 100 DEGREE WEATHER AND ZERO ACCESS TO THE SWIMMING POOLS FOR NO REASON.
I don't know where they're coming from .. probably from the vents? This is my second month, and every day I would see roaches .. all over ... in the cabinets, plates, in the kitchen, bathroom even in the closet.. I bought a raid spray for bugs/roaches and its almost empty .. everyday I can spot one or two running and hiding from small cracks under the cabinets, sinks .. This is like the motherlode of all roaches ..yes they just like Renata for a reason. RoachHunter@Renata
Place is infested with roaches and management doesn't do anything to resolve that issue. Spray treatments that btw are additional fee on top of your rent simply DON'T work. Gym has been under "construction" since I've moved in so for almost two months (that wasn't disclosed during the process)...so if you're looking for free of charge huge, creepy roommates who decide to show up when you're cooking or sleeping and be charge for services that are not provide that's the place to be. If you however looking for place that fix issue from the roots that's definitely not the right place.Property manager is a "problem solver" who who claimshe has "transformed the place". Funny he says that and then you speak to other tenants who have been brushed off by him and let without any solution to their problem... Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else, definitely not worth the hassle or the money...
The new management at Renata have really turned things around. The exterior is so much nicer and the renovations they are making are exceptional. I would definitely recommend you check these apartments out!
We recently moved into Renata Apartments. The office staff, especially Clarissa, worked closely and patiently with us to find the perfect floor plan within our budget. On move in, the apartment was clean and recently renovated with new appliances, fresh paint, and new carpet. The maintenance crew has responded to our requests promptly. The property management is making great strides at maintaining a safe and beautiful living environment for the tenants. In spite of a few negative reviews, the attentiveness of the staff was the deciding factor in selecting this apartment complex. After being here a bit, I can affirm we made the right decision. Thumbs up Renata Apartments!!!

Terrible! Aside from the mailbox fence that was taken down, and immediately had our mail stolen, the apartments have yet to fix the swimming pools. We've been without a swimming pool for over 8 weeks. Yes, all summer and no pool. Everytime we've reached out to the office they state they're waiting on parts. Let's see how much longer the parts will take. For now, no security guarding our mail, no swimming pools, and no interest in getting either addressed.

Hello, we are so sorry to hear about your negative experience. We were aware of the pool, however this is not something we were able to fix in house; it was completed by a contractor on August 16th. We also sent out an email on Friday August 18th that the pool by the office was back up and running. We had to take the mail gate down because it was in very poor condition. Your happiness is a priority to us and I hope we are given the opportunity to change your experience. The apts are now under new management. They took down the gate for the mailroom that park hill had installed because people were breaking in and guess what when it came down they broke in again! I went to talk to the person in charge, Ida Duranta, and she said that there was nothing they could do. They took it down because it looked bad. I asked for a corporate number and she said she didn't have one. She so rude and impatient with me she didn't want anything to do with me or the other residents who were there to talk to her. Someone was trying to ask her something and all she kept saying over and over in the middle of the residents sentence was "there's nothing I can do. You're gonna have to fix it yourself." She was rude and completely incompetent. She couldn't give me any information and dismissed me before I was even done with what I had to say.

This is our first apartment and it's okay especially for people who are renting for the first time. I wouldn't say it's a great place for kids though there are families here with kids, there isn't a park for them to play at. Most parks that are nearby are super crowded and have limited parking. Parking is a little tight but it's okay. So I'll go over some of the good things. They have a great pool, it's not loud it's actually quite quiet during the day and nights, I haven't had any trouble with neighbors or anything. Maintenance guys are great they respond pretty quickly and are informative as to what's going on and what they're doing to fix it. Now the bad, there have been some days where I have found workers on my patio early in the morning fixing things that I was unaware of. I'd at least like a warning or so knowing that there's going to be people working on the patio just as a courtesy. Everything started to break. The blinds were already broken and the last people just taped them with scratch tape. The sinks leak pretty badly. The cabinet underneath the bathroom sink caved in. The ceiling started to leak from upstairs and then our neighbors ceiling downstairs also leaked within that same week. There's a huge crack on the ceiling in the bathroom. The floor bed and wall started to creep up or peel behind the fridge. The fridge started leaking as soon as we moved in. The disposable started smoking as soon as we moved in. There's a roach in the eye hole to look outside. Our light outside didn't work and took months for someone to notice but that was mainly our bad for never reporting it. Super small pantry. Toilet wobbles and basically needs to be replaced, it doesn't flush. Door handle started to come undone. It's like one thing after another with this apartment so I suggest that they do some major TLC, and redo some of the small things. Also for paying pest control it doesn't really work. But because there's these holes in the bathroom and kitchen it's pretty easy for them to just come and go. It's honestly not a bad apartment complex, it's quiet and decent and affordable. I recommend people who are in colleges or budgets to live here. I enjoyed living here but due to my little family I'll need a place that's more space and something for my kids to hang out at. It's not bad, it's not amazing, it's nice and quaint. I'd bump it up if it wasn't for everything feeling like they were falling apart.
Having spent months looking for apartments I am glad I picked Park Hill. The staff here is incredibly helpful & friendly. The assistant manager, Erin, has been the most welcoming in helping me settle in. If you have ever lived on the first floor you'll be happy to know that the foundation doesn't cream when your upstairs neighbors move. If you love swimming, they clean their pools daily. More fun in the sun! The best part is they make you a great promise on their maintanence. No more than 48 hour wait. The staff is friendly the neighbors are friendly. I spent months looking through the entirety of apartments in San Antonio. Park Hill is one of the best apartments you'll find.
