The place is very nice, the only thing I didn't like about the day of moving was that it wasn't the apartment I expected, before moving I never saw the apartment, on one occasion it was asked if it could be seen and the answer was that they couldn't show it because they were fixing it up, I settled with those words and the day they gave me the key and I was able to see it I was completely disappointed because it is not what they offer on the internet page where they illustrate a remodeled apartment and it is not like that, my apartment has old and broken kitchen and bathroom cabinets, deteriorated bathtubs among other things.

It’s been kinda rocky since the beginning … from getting a quote and being shown an apartment that didn’t reflect the condition of the apartment I was given, to corporate putting in maintenance orders that were marked completed and weren’t completed so… that’s my experience have a great day

Living in Park Crescent/ ReNew at Little Creek is a little better then the previous owners. Maintenance does a good job they make sure things get fixed in your apartment. I also appreciate the owners putting dumpster in each section also the neighborhood is really peaceful. The issue I do have is the elevators doesn't work and now they are boarded up if you move to the thrid floor GOOD LUCK and the water bugs that randomly pops up.

I was told I would be moving into a renovated unit and this unit is not. The appartment doors are filthy with spider webs everywhere and bugs entering the unit. You guys put new appartment numbers up on top of dirt. This place needs a power washing. There are new developments in the area with similar rent pricing and more to offer.

My apartments is nice. I was a bit upset at move in because I thought I was getting a unit with the vinyl flooring but, honestly, I’m glad I got a carpeted unit, I love it. The unit is really spacious and open. The landscaping could be better and it would be nice if the stairs were cleaned and leaves were blown every now and then.

The place has dirty hallways and a lot of trash in the stairwells. You can smell marijuana everywhere and have seen people sleeping next to the elevator doors in the hallways. The management office staff is not very nice and the alarms in the tall buildings are often set off for some reason. The main point is that you are often charged some unknown fees and they are very expensive.

It has been about a month since my A/C has been broken and no one has still came to fix it. Along with that, there's no security, people carelessly trespass and violate my building. People that don't even live here smoke in the hallways. The leasing office is careless. People break in cars and nothing has been done about it. Honestly I'm ready for my lease to end. I would leave today if I could. The rent is high as is, but to pay the amount we pay and receive the level or service that we do is insanity. It is the summertime and nearly 80 degrees in my apartment here and there for about a month. Truly insane. The sad part about this, is that new owners recently took over which seemed good at the time being that the previous owners were bad as well, but at least my issues got addressed in a timely manner.
I've been living here for less than a year and the apartments are nice enough, but they are virtually unresponsive to maintenance requests. For the past month I have called to submit maintenance requests because my heat does not work and each time they assure me they will send someone out, but no one has come and my heat has not worked in the past month. The vent does not blow warm air and the temperature has stayed below 60 degrees despite the thermostat being set at 70 degrees. Decent place otherwise but maybe not the best if you like having heat in the winter.
I can't recommend. Been here 2 months and several issues noted on move in have yet to be resolved. Average maintenance response time is more than 3 weeks. 3 of my work requests were closed as "complete" with absolutely zero repairs being made. Staff could care less about you as a resident. I would be ashamed to be the Property Manager here! There is zero pride in ownership of this community. This place is only interested in collecting rent!
The management is very unhelpful. Maintenance issues goes unfixed for months. As of right now one of my bedroom ceiling is leaking every time it rains. Because of the issue not being fixed mold and water stains have developed on the ceiling and walls. They sent a plumber to fix something thats roof related. So now until they can get a roofer, we are left with a 2 foot hole in the ceiling. I complained about the hole and was told to cover it with a trash bag and tape. The elevators hasn't worked since 2021. Maintenence is a joke. Some don't take any pride in their work. When I moved in the shower was moldy from the tenant before me. Maintenence came to grout the shower and did the worst job ever. The only thing that is taken care of is the lawn every Thursday. Skip this headache and look elsewhere.
NONE OF THE POSTED INFORMATION IS CORRECT! This complex has several buildings with no functioning elevator, they've been "out of order" for 2 years now with no date of when they'll be fixed, the front office just keeps saying its "not their fault, its the city's". There's trash all over the place constantly, because there's only one dumpster/compactor to serve several buildings. Animals have access to the garbage left out. Maintenance staff are incredibly rude for little to no reason and lazy, will not fix anything whether it's simple or not. NO PEST CONTROL DONE! We moved in with the promise (and paperwork) that sprays and deterrents were done and yet there are ROACHES, MASSIVE ones. People come speeding through the area whether they live here or not, some have hit cars parked along the streets then run from the scene. Not worth the money they charge.
Property Manager at ReNew Little Creek, Responded To This Review
Hi, thank you for leaving a review and allowing us to address these concerns. The staff has been spoken to about the elevator situation as we know it's frustrating. We intend to install another dumpster on the property to alleviate the strain on our current one. If you need pest control, we invite you to call us so we may add your unit to the list. Waterbugs are common due to the fact that we live in a coastal area, but we're able to treat them with routine pest control. We have limited control over driving throughout our community since it's a public road. If you have other concerns, please contact us directly so we can take care of them for you. Thank you again!
They never fix anything. Elevators broke soon as I moved in and haven’t been fixed. Serious ant problem. Maintenance has a bad attitudes
I had cockroaches since the day I moved in, the garbage disposal was broken on move-in day and wasn’t fixed until 4 weeks later. They also didn’t get me the correct mailbox key for 6 weeks after going into the office weekly. Through all of this I can say the previous staff was very apologetic and I think they were genuinely working on it. That was under previous management. I’m having roach problems again(all of my neighbors are as well) and there were critters in my attic waking me up all through the night for over a month and they also overcharged me rent. Each time I’ve called about it, there’s no apology and they say they’ll “fix it when they can.” I’ve gotten that reply multiple times. The first time I received any sort of substantial answer was when I emailed corporate. Since then the community manager has been working with me but I don’t think I should’ve had to email corporate to get an appropriate response. Bottom line: I pay way too much money for what I receive.

I lived here for almost 2 years while I was stationed at Norfolk Naval Base in Norfolk Virginia. I can honestly say that I enjoyed my stay at park crescent, although there was room for improvement. First off let me give you heads up; there is a major difference in living in the older complexes compared to the brand new building. I lived in the new building (6490) myself but I did have friends that lived in the old/traditional style complex. Seeing how I lived in a new development my issues were minimal, but the friends of mine had rodent issues, flooding issues, car break in issues,etc... I would advise looking into the new building, and pay for the garage fee (it's only $20 a month). My only issue with my unit is the fact that the paint was cheap; it's almost as if there was no primer, so it easily gets dirty or smudged.
We moved in three months ago and hate it here. Our AC cut out when we first moved in, my building has been a construction zone for the past three moths, and it seems like you have to harass the leasing office to get anything done. We have had a bug issue since we’ve moved in as well. I would not recommend living here.
If you like fleas, car break ins/car theft, and old appliances that are supposedly renovated. Then this is the place for you!!!!
We are in the older units across the street and they are in disrepair. The elevator is usually broke and the stairs are rusted and unsafe. They were pressure washing the rust away a few months ago and we got excited and thought they were going to fix them but instead the just painted over the rusted sharp metal and crumbling concrete. The ceiling is falling down in the common walk areas. Staff is friendly, albeit uninformed. Maintenance guys are great and reasonable responsive even with them being overwhelmed. I am pretty sure the other apartments that are newer would be much nicer. Proceed with caution and set your expectations low.
Just an ok apt. Spacious, kids jumping over six foot fences daily, mosquitoes, roaches, and spiders. Looks nice, alot of trees, breeze is great right now. Ok staff, some grumpy, free starbucks coffee, ok gym. No grill station right now.
Apartments are nice here, very spacious, a good bang for your buck. The only complaints I have are that I wish it was gated, as we have a lot of sketchy people pass through the neighborhood to get to the nearby gas station.... and the common areas and stairways could be kept a lot cleaner.
When I first moved in it wasn't bad. Price was decent apartments looked nice. After living here for two years I came time for me to PCS and move across the country. The staff misguided and avoided helping me with my process of movin out. That being said they ended up charging me for entire extra months rent, and I'm not the only one. This has happened to 3 of my friends here. If you want to live here be prepared to end up paying extra charges.
My apartments aren't bad, but i have had water come through the ceiling of my bathroom from the apartment above three times and one of the times it flooded my entire apartment. The complex cleaned it up, but still...
this appartment is by far the best if you want rooom this is where you want to be if you want friendly staff look no further and even more the staff are really pretty so that's a plus lol, the closets are big they know what people need for a closet size Not like other places who think you have one suit and one pant and t shirt a 2 pairs of shoes, pet friendly never have a complain about being here by far the best bang for your buck if I want being statio n in Maryland I would stay there for 2 more years wish they had another complex in Maryland so I could move to, any miltary friend that ask I point them to park crescent by far the best I'm glad I defend for a spacious appartment like this , and they make breakfast and have get together no bugs and no loud neighbors it's so worth it 1200 for 2 bath 2 bed and the master bathroom is like somthing g out the movie it's a must see epically if your single and you want to impress the female guess. I give this place 5 stars anyday. thank you for letting me stay here.
First, I checked out many apartment complexes in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area before I found Park Crescent Apartments. By far, for a $1,000 price range for a one bedroom (yeah, one bedroom) this was the nicest place I found. I live in one of the new buildings which is very modern. The majority of them have not been updated, however. I don't know how much hasn't been updated but I do the kitchens aren't as nice as mine. Each apartment has a very spacious laundry room that I use as a storage and mini pantry room. The walk-in closet in the bedroom is very large and can easily be used by two people with a lot of clothes and items. I wish there was a linen closet or pantry, however. The apartment complex does have garage spaces for an additional fee. The balcony is very nice and larger than most I've seen. The rooms also lack lighting but that is common. The amenities of the apartment complex SEEM very nice but don't let the tour fool you. The main building is VERY well decorated and has a Wifi room, Gym, Bathrooms, Movie Theater, and Clubhouse (Pool Table, Chef Kitchen, etc). The Wifi bar NEVER has working wifi and the printer in there rarely works. The clubhouse is nice and that is where events are held in the complex. However, the clubhouse (like the movie theater) are closed when the office is closed so they are really only available for people who don't have daytime jobs. The pool is a very large olympic sized swimming pool with 6 fountains. The condition of the pool is nice and there are a lot of chairs, tables, and grills available in the area. The pool is only opened (as of this summer) when a lifeguard is there. Now, that is just basic info. I have had a few issues with the none building type. There controlled access areas work about 50/50 with one door to my controlled access hallway not working for over half the time I have lived here. I have waited MONTHS for maintenance after contacting maintenance and the main office more than 10 times. They also don't have a water monitor for each apartment so each building splits it "equally". I say "equally" because it is split among the amount of people on the lease. It doesn't include people with kids, people who may be in the apartment but not on the lease (because lets me honest a lot of people do it), or people with multiple large dogs that will need multiple baths a month. My water bill averages around $70 a month...which is totally crazy. It also changes as more people move into the building.
My husband and I are getting stationed in norfolk and we went house hunting, we came across park crescent and immediately felt at home. The staff is super friendly and welcoming and treated you as friend and not like a customer. I also like how the pictures on this website are not false everything is as beautiful in person as it is in the pictures. We did not find just another place to stay, we found a home. Cannot wait to move in!
Good location. A little expense for what little you receive
