The only reason I did not put 5 star is due to no maintenance/leasing on property and the issues with parking but other then that pretty decent for the price.

I'm very comfortable with the residency and really like it here. You can't control the neighbors you get, but who can. Overall no serious issues.

Easy move in process, bad communication from leasing office . Apartment is decent. Overall ok. Mailboxes at building 939 have been broken since move in

The worse place ever. We had no gas for over a month. I was not able to cook and you could never reach someone at the rental office. I can't wait for my lease to be up, I'm out of here.

Never once have I met the owner of Renew or even to spoken to the owner. I never lived in a place you rent where the rental office is only open two days out the week. If you have an issue you could never reach someone by phone. I think we are being over charged for the lack of service being provided. We have only one maintenance guy who they keep him working at the Renew properties in Virginia Beach than Norfolk, that to me says a lot.
Property Manager at ReNew Norfolk, Responded To This Review
Contina, your satisfaction is important to us, so it is unfortunate that you do not feel supported by our team regarding your concerns. We hope to make your home life more comfortable, so we welcome you to contact us at Renewnorfolk@trinity-pm.com. We would be happy to assist.
Been here since Dec 2022. It was challenging for a few months, but it has gotten much better. It’s mostly due to the fact that neighbors above us are gone. They were nice but the floors are terribly squeaky and the walls are thin. Also, the neighbors above on the other side have tapered down tremendously. Unfortunately we still have folk who like to pull into the parking lot after 11pm with loud music, but we survive. Would be nice if the community had onsite security in the evening. Trash is still an issue. The community really need to rethink their trash system. There is room for two dumpsters, but there is only one. People are inconsiderate throwing trash on the ground. July 31 our HVAC unit went out. No one could replace it until Aug 18. Ben made sure we had a unit until then. That unit worked well. The kitchen was the best place for it because even with the big unit, the kitchen got hit when I cooked. We have a brand new HVAC unit now. Very grateful for that!
Property Manager at ReNew Norfolk, Responded To This Review

We are grateful for your understanding during the HVAC replacement and are pleased that it is resolved now. Your feedback helps us make positive changes for the community, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it with us.
Most of the best tenants have moved out. The ones that are here now have no respect for other tenants. But in all the community is a beautiful place to live at. It’s close to most shopping areas and restaurants

Tracy, thank you for writing. We are pleased you think our community is beautiful and have enjoyed our convenient location. We want your experience to be positive here, so please let us know if there is anything our team may do to uplift your time in the future.
Communication with the owners is aweful. You can't reach no one by phone. Only one maintenance guy working and work orders takes over two weeks or more to get completed. The focus on these units are more about the outside than the inside of your apartment.

Personally miss the old property management. They were significantly more personal and got to the residents way faster than the current staff. Their in-office hours are only Mondays and Wednesdays. They have multiple different numbers because they have an office in Norfolk AND VA Beach, and most of the time I have to call the VA Beach number just to get anything done. Maintenance is unhelpful. We put in a work order to replace our air filters because they have not been changing them out regularly. They only changed the air filter inside and not the one on the balcony. I got locked out my apartment, and the property management didn't even give maintenance a master key, so this man DRILLS into my doorknob, waking up all my neighbors at MIDNIGHT. When he put the doorknob back on, he didn't install it properly and we had to struggle to use the door for a few days until a friend fixed it, not even the staff. Then charged us $50 dollars for it. They messed up our lease three different times and then over charged us $300 more on the third one after we told them multiple times through call and email that we renewed it for only six months. Lastly, they aren't helpful at all in the case a car gets broken into. Not the first time in the area. There are no security cameras or any preventative factors. Properly needs SERIOUS work. Price is the only thing that they have going for them if you're desperate enough. Just remember you live in Norfolk. Neighbors are sweet though.

I love the location , the outside is very quiet and I love the fact that we have our own parking space. If we still have security here is great because living alone it makes me feel safe. I love the door to door trash pick up

It’s a beautiful community. When I first moved in I felt safe and secure but after the last owners removed the safety of keeping the the doors to the the front building doors, I felt a little uncomfortable n unsafe. I’ve seen a lot of my neighbors move out which weee sort of around my age group now in my building it’s mostly young people that make a lot noise. Do miss the quietness though!

The property is quiet most of the time. My neighbors keep to themselves and respect each others space. I wish it was more security with parking especially being by the road. The appliances are ok but reliable.

We always appreciate such great feedback and hearing how much you enjoy the serene, respectful environment. Thank you, too, for the suggestions about appliances and any measures that can improve your well-being.
I enjoy the peace & quiet. Neighbors are friendly and respectful. I haven’t got the chance to work with the new ReNew Staff just yet, but everything has been cool.

I have been attempting to get an apartment at Round Bay for a couple of months now and after expressing that to Angie she has kept me in the loop with availabilities ever since. Yesterday, I was able to finally pay a deposit and secure a property. It took a bit of back and forth due to other challenges involved, but the entire time I spent in the office reflected the same kindness I received on the phone and through emails. Both Angie and Ilyana were extremely welcoming and even the Maintenance manager Barbie introduced herself to me. I am sure that my stay in these apartment complexes will be pleasant. Thanks again!
Property Manager at ReNew Norfolk, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking a look at Round Bay and choosing to make a home here in our community. We are happy to help, so please do not hesitate to reach out to our office. Thank you for the fantastic review!
The space and amenities are great. Good space, clean premises, but the staff is rude, will enter your apartment without notice and occasionally yell at, and slam the door on your guests, so just be weary of that.
The reason I believe that our apartment is 4-star is because to us, it is luxurious. It is our own private oasis. My husband and I were previously homeless, we are now in an amazing apartment across the street form the homeless shelter that we used to be residents of. Our apartment complex has a great pool area and relaxing gazebo for fun time. We enjoy the patio area and the staff who are friendly and attentive. We are close to downtown, shopping and numerous restaurants. We have made this apartment our "home" with love and gratitude.
