Awesome place I thought the 1 beds and studios were awesome, the amenities were great, and the location was amazing.
No heat Apparently when you had the inspections last month, one of my breakers on the furnace were never reset. I am glad i didnt show late at night or when the office was closed.
Excellent place to live! The renew Wichita building is very well taken care of. The apartments are very pretty and spacious. Every one of the people that work here (maintenance or admin) are very nice and kind. Would recommend 10/10 living here!
Shire Was a great place to live, indoor parking was really nice to have and the front office really cares about the conditions of the property.
Smooth Move in Melissa did a great job explaining the rules and procedures of the Renew apartments. She was very knowledgeable and organized. The fact that she was personable added to the moving experience. Moving can be a hassle, she made it as smooth as silk. Very pleased with the whole experience..
Ac went out They came in and got it taken care of IMMEDIATELY! Now it’s back working better than before.

Property conditions are horrible. It is sad because this used to be the place to be in Wichita. The new management team is horrible. The building has big huge roaches and nasty bugs running amuck. The one foot “spa style pool” is useless because they don’t even put lounge chairs in it anymore. It is loud every night and doors in the alleyway behind the building aren’t even locked so the homeless people in the alleyway can come in whenever they please. I would come home to strange bodily fluids in the hallways and elevators (blood, vomit, etc) The dog park smells so rancid tenants have started to just let their dogs urinate and defecate wherever they want and management doesn’t clean it up for days. This is NOT luxury.
This is one of the worst places you can choose to live in the city of Wichita. The management team is extremely incompetent. The complex itself is extremely filthy for what its being sold as. The amenities on the rooftop are rarely operable. I was there for 3 years and the grills up top probably worked for 1 of those years. Please, save yourself the time and headache and choose another place to live. Coming from an extremely concerned ex tenant for anyone thinking about moving here... DONT!

The new management team at this complex is very incompetent. They launched a new parking program overnight and didn’t provide me a spot number. They took away valet parking in the main lot and are charging the same ridiculous cost just to park a car. They don’t have enough spots for tenants to park and many have to park on the street at night. The spot I was provided was given to me by the valet crew and ended up being the wrong number. I was nearly towed because the management team provided a towing service number in the email that was sent the day of the change. Several cars were towed because of their inability to manage the complex. You can’t call the office on site and are relayed to a far away corporate office that can’t help with any situations and never have the crew here call you back. I have only lived here for two weeks and it has truly been the worst living experience I have ever had.

ReNew Wichita seems like a great place to move on the surface. Great amenities, good services, and an A+ management crew. However, none of this is true. The valet service has broken features in my car, and I was told I would be able to fill out a claim. That never happened. I’ve had problems with the internet since I’ve moved in and it takes maintenance 2 weeks before they even consider stepping foot in your apartment. Not to mention their call center, which if you call them during their business hours they are 10% likely to answer or get back to you. Overall, if you are thinking of moving to the downtown area, do not chose ReNew. Look elsewhere.

There are a lot of reasons to not like this place. Management is terrible. They’re disrespectful and will take months to solve any issues you have. It’s pretty shocking how bad they are at their jobs. All amenities offered are terrible and not worth the extra money especially the valet parking. There’s a lot of better options in Wichita than Renew. Bad management, place smells, stuff breaks all the time and takes forever to fix. Do yourself a favor and choose any other place to live

First experience here was being given an apartment that we didn't not choose AFTER we signed the lease. When we let management know while moving in, they refused to allow us a 2 day delay when the unit we wanted would be ready...horrible management. They do not care one bit! Also, the traffic is so loud on Douglas that it disrupts trying to sleep, watch TV, etc. For some reason there are motorcycles constantly, all day and night, cruising, racing, and circling, and the police do NOTHING. Worst, if you own a dog the 4th floor area for dogs is disgusting, they never clean it and the smell is absolutely horrible. The upstairs pool is not heated, there is no hottub, so the winter months upstairs are pointless. The parking is absolutely HORRIBLE. You can circle and circle and never find a place to park. I would NOT recommend RENEW, Its overpriced and uncomfortable living at most. I would NOT RECOMMEND RENEW.
Would not recommend to anyone. Don't fall trap to the faux luxurious experience. Valet parking caused $3,000 in damages to my car. It was not addressed for two months. They took away the second level self-park so you are forced to valet each time. They also had both a bed bug and cockroach infestation. After bringing it up to management and sending pictures, there was no response for three weeks. We were forced to move out a month early while still paying in full. We were then penalized a substantial move-out fee for trying to treat the infestation ourselves. Lastly, our rent renewal offer was a solid 6% increase. Outside of our room, the rooftop is headphones only and you can't have any speakers. Common area upstairs closes at 10. Main elevator shakes/drops. Fitness center is best thing.
My experience as a resident/tenant at The Douglas Apartments was tremendous. It exceeded my high expectations - across the board. Anya (The Manager at the Douglas) and her Resident Services Team was always accessible, friendly and responsive. In addition, the maintenance crew took care of all my needs promptly, professionally and completely - top notch! The complex was always kept extremely clean and I never had to deal with any repair delays or extended service interruptions. I always felt very safe - whether I was entering or leaving -- around the clock. The valet parking was a nice value add and the 24 hour valet team was always friendly, prompt and professional. The many luxury amenities at the complex came as advertised and even more. I had a 2 bedroom loft on the 9th floor and feel I had the best view in the city. The amenities are what set the Douglas apart from the other properties I considered - before ultimately deciding on The Douglas. I got great use out of the 24-hour fitness center -- it was well equipped, clean, odorless - had just the right amount of air flow and the right room temperature for working out. The residents' Sky Deck is another phenomenal amenity. It has an amazing panoramic view of the city and has an ample supply of grills, fire-pits and cabanas for residents and their guests. The sky deck was a big factor in my decision to go with The Douglas and I enjoyed it immensely while living there. My loft was ultra-hip with a historic charm; very open and comfortable; lots of natural light (I had an entire wall of windows), great flooring, high ceilings and stainless steel appliances. I loved living at the Douglas -- in the heart of downtown Wichita and walking distance to Old Town -- the perfect location - from my perspective. I strongly encourage anyone interested in living in the Downtown Wichita / Old Town Wichita area to be sure to check out The Douglas - you will fall in love with the place!

Apartments are great. Parking situation is not. Valet parking is required in the building that I live. A valet employee caused $2,500 in damages to my car, and the company refuses to pay as there is “no proof it occurred in the garage”. However, I have spoken to auto body shops regarding the damage and they all have said the damage was caused by a cement pole, like those in the garage. After looking through the garage, it is evident numerous cars have hit the poles and this is not an isolated incident. Would not recommend living here to avoid having to deal with this.
