Situated above the Puyallup River Valley, Bonney Lake boasts scenic views of Lake Tapps and Mount Rainier. Bonney Lake residents enjoy a small-town feel along with ample opportunities for outdoor recreation.
Bonney Lake is home to three lakes, including its namesake Lake Bonney in the center of town, Lake Deborah Jane, and Lake Tapps—the largest recreational lake in Pierce County. Residents bask in the many options for fishing, boating, and swimming afforded by these lakes.
Getting active in Bonney Lake doesn’t stop with the lakes. Several parks in town provide additional space for recreation as well. Allan Yorke Park is a mainstay in Bonney Lake, with numerous walking trails, sports fields, picnic shelters, a skate park, and a boat launch on Lake Tapps. Victor Falls Park offers trails leading up to a 70-foot waterfall at the southern edge of town.

Property Ratings at Renwood Apartment Homes
I resided here for a year and a half and wouldn’t recommend it for quite a few reasons. The amount of currently empty units is a direct reflection of the new management, the way people are treated is with assumptions, rudeness and unpleasantly and I most definitely wouldn’t recommend the drive worth for those at JBLM. My children stepped in dog poop regularly regardless of the signs stating that you would be fined if you don’t pick up after your pets. When I first moved here- it was a different place. You could trust that your children weren’t going to play outside and get yelled at for it and the staff was cut-throat but not blatantly rude, your car wasn’t going to get broken into and your neighbors and the people you rented from were people you enjoyed being in a community with. It just isn’t that anymore, unfortunately.
During our stint of snow this february I left my boots on the patio so that I wouldn't track snow into the house. Wrong choice! $50 a day for 3 days with no real warning, I had no clue my shoes were considered garbage. I understand the want to make an appearance of cleanliness by not allowing tenants to leave trash on the patio but my boots? Not to mention the lawn service blows cut grass onto the patio everytime they mow and yet my boots are the problem? Absolutely no regard for tenants. This is on top of a maintenance person being sent into our home with 0 warning nor request, to unclog a drain that wasn't clogged. Do you see why there are so many 1 star reviews, management creates problems and overcharges for infractions without any warnings. Get ready to constantly feel like you can't really feel at home. TLDR: Renwood sucks the life and money out of tenants with bs rules, poor management and a mentality of image over experience.
I love living at Renwood Apts. I love the location, the manager Dani is an amazing sweetheart and always very kind, I love the gym and pool area and I love the way it is so well maintained. The assistant manager Ryan has been promoted but he was always so wonderful to talk to. Very helpful when working with me on any issue I have had. My neighbors are awesome and respectful. I am renewing my lease for a second year!!
We have lived here a little over a year and we couldn't be happier. I can see where the parking could be an issue for some but as we only have one car and an assigned spot, it doesn't apply. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the staff does a remarkable job keeping things spotless. The office staff couldn't be any kinder or more willing to help. On more than one occasion they have offered to carry packages to our apartment and offered assistance above and beyond. The neighbors are friendly and the environment here is welcoming. I can't personally think of a negative thing about the place.
Pros: -the apartment itself if quite roomy and very nice Cons -be careful with opening and closing your windows, they tend to build up resistance until it finally breaks. -the parking is HORRENDOUS. literally only one spot let apartment, and there are only 4 unassigned spots in the whole lot. outside the gate is where "extra vehicles per apartment" are supposed to park, but there are mayne 10 spots out there so you will most likely be parking in grocery outlets lot and walking. -office staff is rarely there if you attempt to go 1-2 hours before closing. they've usually decided to bounce early. -prices are going up despite more people moving out than in
The parking in this apartment is the worst I have ever seen in my life... They give you one parking stall per apartment even for a 3 bedroom. For overflow at first they told us to park in the library and library overflow, because the street parking fills up around 3pm. Then the city gave us all tickets for parking there.. And the leasing office is not doing anything about the tickets after they said they would take care of them. Then they told us to park at the BLT which is a long walk. Also if family/company comes to visit there is no guest only parking... And you know no one ever prowls cars parked overnight at a bar.... I RECOMMEND NOT RENTING HERE. If I wasn't already so close to the end of my lease I would break lease to get out of here...
Literally gave no notificication that people paying for covered parking would be released of their spot that you've been paying for every month. Then when you go to apply for your same covered spot they've already given it away, how does that even happen?I have a one year lease with them and it's in my lease for my covered car spot and I still have no idea how they can just break that contract when I'm not allowed to break my lease without paying almost $3k to do so. Will not be renewing my lease with them as they show no regard for customer service or just basic business etiquette.
We are one of the first tenants to move in last year. We were told we can have 2 parking slots since we have a 2 bdrm apt. Wr rented 1 covered slot and use 1 uncovered. Suddenly the parking policy has changed; they gave us 30 days notice that all people renting covered spaces are being released and have to reclaim their space. I went to the office 2 days later and was told my space had been claimed by someone else!!!! Now we found out that we can only have 1 slot per apt unless we rent a covered slot. Well fine, but they took our covered parking away and I'm on a waiting list-ridiculous! We pay our rent on time, have been respectful tenants, and this is our payback.
This place has zero parkimg and is still letting in more tenants. They claim they never ensured parking and will fine you or have you towed if you park under covered spots. They also let motorcycles take up a spot and reserve it for their own personal vehicle. This place is a joke of an apartment complex. Rent is outrageous for shabby built interior too! Not worth anything they picture.
I signed a lease here and then could never move in because there is no parking if you arrive after 6pm! They wouldn't let me out of the lease and have now sent me to collections! I never even spent one night in the apartment and they already took one months rent, now collections for more. Don't deal with these people. Your much better of renting a house from a private owner.
This complex is a joke and the parking is terrible! If you get home past 6pm you will be parking at the library. If you have children or buy groceries I'd recommend looking else where. I have even watched residents cars with the parking passes visibly inside the vehicles get towed. I told the tow truck that the car clearly belonged to a resident but, the management told them to tow it anyways. I was also informed that you are not aloud to have guest's or young adults under the age of 18 to park with in the complex between 9pm and 9am. You often have to leave your trash on the ground around the dumpster because they have are too many residents filling up the one trash area. You also can for get about getting your any matinance in a timely manner. We have been waiting 30 days and counting for a simple fix! With the price of these apartments you should be getting more quality. Moving here was a horrible choice.
charge way too much for the cheap quality built. only thing good is location and the noise. rooms are very small
