Property Ratings at Reserve at Brookhaven
I have moved out of these apartments for over a year now, thank God!! I decided to leave a review after seeing this listing online and thought I'd save someone from this bug infested, hell of a place. One, not clean and lots of loud ghetto neighbors. Always a maintenance problem and takes a LONG time to get fixed, if they even fix it right. Water occasionally goes out. Staff in the office can be rude at times and useless because they wont be able to help you until they speak to the property manager. Lots of bugs and old appliances and on top of all the horror and the high rent they charge for NOTHING they don't even have laundry installed in the unit, it is shared with the other neighbors and even that was too disgusting to use. This place is a huge red flag!
The only reason for 1 star is because I had to put one It would've been a 0 if I could. DO NOT MOVE HERE, Please Its not worth it. All the bad reviews that you read on here are true. The price you will pay for for how the apartment looks is not worth it. They have reserved parking for one person and they don't tell you how to get reserved parking or how the reserved parking works. It will not say or state anything in your lease about reserved parking. They will tow your car. The worst part is how unprofessional the people in the front office is. They are never in office and take way to long to get anything accomplished. My water was off for a week. They never gave told me it was going to be off and how long it was going to take to get it back on. My heater in my apartment broke and I'm still waiting on them to fix. They will about when maintenance will be able to fix anything you have broking. They will open your door and let themselves in your apartment when your not in. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. 11/5/2021
I haven’t even been here for long and I already cannot wait for this lease to end. There is garbage strewn about the street and no one picks it up so insects end up piling on top of it, the dumpster becomes overfilled by the end of the week so trash is literally piled on the stairs that leads to the dumpster, the unit itself is horrid and their idea of painting to renovate the place included poorly painting over the mess. The lawns aren’t manicured well AT ALL. I’m warning anyone who thinks the price is a good deal, please do not waste your money.
How can they let their tenants live like this? I understand most are Hispanic but that does not give them authority to be so dirty and careless. MOLD, roaches and spiders everywhere. The hallways are trashy and made of carpet so they smell like urine. And they WILL try to take your money if you're not smart
They lady in the front desk who picked up the phone was careless and rude! My whole living room is leaking as well as bedroom! I have asked her when the nurse is going to come over here she says she doesn’t know. I am really confuse how are you not know if you are property management company, you need to take care of your tenants don’t you? Then she hung up on me. Do not come over here and looking for your apartment, you will be disappointed.
This establishment is completely unprofessional. My roommates and I were promised a move in date of 8/10; we received a call the day of move-in, stating our apartment was not ready. After discussing, they agreed to have the apartment furnished by 4 pm that same day—it was not. This apartment complex failed on a basic promise to provide a place to live, and as a result, I have no place to stay. Previous reviews mentioned an incapable management, and unfortunately it is accurate. Do not consider leasing with this property, they’ll leave you with no place to live, and a handful of issues. DO NOT LEASE HERE
The apartments are very old, MALA ADMINISTRATION, (their staff is too despicable and rude when problems are reported) BAD MAINTENANCE, they take a long time to fix maintenance problems, there are cockroaches, dog droppings in the green areas, lots of garbage in the hallways and Park. The truth are not good Apartments to live.
**caution** these pictures are not the property they claim to be! The staff are liars, the trash dumpster is always full, the residents throw trash everywhere, it smells bad, the play ground is hazardous, there are only 2 maintanence men so problems will linger longer than they should, the property is old, my air had to be refilled every month because of a leak. and it took days for them to fix the problem, which is detrimental during summer! run for the hills!
Great price, great location, great lifestyle. Only 1 of those is true, Great Location! The price is far to high for what you get, run down apartments, appliances that do not work and an unhelpful Office staff, so far I have been lied too, run in circles and made to feel unwelcome. The lifestyle is that of roaches, trash, car alarms all night, dog station are unkept so there is feces pretty everywhere, you are not to fix vehicles on site ( this is broken daily by at least 2 tenants), over flowing trash facility and dirty walkways. Trash is all along the creek feature and in all the under brush, discarded mattresses still sitting in plain site and the staff has not removed them. The gutters are not clean and so they overflow to your porch, and doorways ( they added giant stepping stones to help cross the water rather than fix the problem by cleaning the gutters. As a consumer I am surprised there has been nothing done about this complex.
So.... The building is pretty old. People leave dog poo outside their doors. Folks in the leasing office barely speak English. People in the community are nice. It's pretty much a dump!! Everything is old!! Don't come here unless you want to save money. Even then, it might not be worth it. Not a gated community. No parking deck, no gym, no clubhouse, no W/D connections. Laundry facility is always packed. Dumpsters are always full. Sometimes overflowing. Oh and there are ROACHES!!!
Well you get what you pay for. 2bdrm apartments for under $900 is hard to beat in this area. Mostly family oriented community and although I was worried about safety because its not gated and its off Buford hghwy the community itself felt pretty safe. No one bothered me or my 2013 car. That I appreciated. I didn't appreciate the thin walls and hearing a stamped upstairs at 11pm nightly or whenever their kids weren't outside. I didn't appreciate the leasing office taking a whole week to come check out why water was leaking out of my bathroom walls and ceiling. Then they took about 3 weeks to have it fixed. Cockroaches continued to pop up no matter how how clean we kept the place. The pool hours were so restricted during the summer, I felt bad for the kids. Overrall, if you need to keep the budget tight then this is probably one of your better options on Buford hghwy. But the apartments are old and falling apartment (no matter how nice those marketing pics look) and the leasing office is on their own time schedule and doesn't seem to care.
I lived here for 4 years and during that time, the management and apartment name has changed 3 times, and my rent was also increased every year. It may seem affordable for a 2 bedroom, relatively close to downtown, but the neighbors are loud, DIRTY and management is understaffed and unaccommodating at best. Maintenance staff is extremely overloaded with work at any given time, so it will take several requests to get the smallest repair done. This is a working class neighborhood, mostly of families of 4 or more adults and children living in a single unit. I've also had my car broken into once in the parking lot, so safety is somewhat of an issue. Finally, when I moved out, I had to ask on SEVERAL occasions about it being refunded to me, and I still have not received it to this day.
Really need housing. On disability and have to find a place in a very limited budget. Got oney to fibs a place. The office neer answers and no one ever there.
