San Antonio blends a rich heritage with modern innovation, resulting in a metropolis teeming with true Texan heart. San Antonio’s distinctive environment reflects centuries of style and a diverse array of culture, which is best exemplified in the La Villita Historic Arts Village. The Alamo may be the most renowned structure in the city, but there are plenty of magnificent historical buildings to see—from the Emily Morgan Hotel to the Meyer Halff House.
Stretched along the San Antonio River is the famous River Walk, where residents and visitors alike can walk or bike from the San Antonio Zoo to the Witte Museum, the historic Majestic Theatre, the Shops at Rivercenter, the Missions of San Antonio and back again.
The city and the surrounding region offer endless opportunities for exploration.

Property Ratings at Reserve at Canyon Creek
Units have mold. 4 different managers since May 2021. Every unit looks completely different as far as upgrades. 1 maitenance man for the entire property. Mail room is always being broken into. No night security.
Very deceitful practices at this apartment complex. Our apartment wasn’t even cleaned or walked through before our move in day and we have been lied to over and over again on maintenance orders. It’s been almost two months now since I submitted various maintenance requests and there is still nothing to show for it. There are also bugs/roaches in the apartments even though you pay for pest control. The kitchens are not updated as promised and the cabinets throughout are not like any of the pictures or tours. The asking price on these apartments are astronomical compared to what you could get across the street for cheaper. Do not rent here. If I could break my lease, I would.
DO NOT MOVE HERE. Wish I could leave zero stars. I’ve had the worst experience with zero help, if you see a property managed by The Connor Group just go ahead and assume you’ll receive the worst possible customer service and be treated like garbage. First off, I put a deposit down for a 3rd floor apartment and was lied to when I signed my paperwork on move in day and tricked into a completely different apartment. I was lied to and didn’t appreciate their sneaky tactics and of course there was nothing they could do to fix this issue besides offer me a different shitty 2nd floor apartment. My apartment was FILTHY. Not kidding, absolutely DISGUSTING. I asked for them to clean and they just sent someone from the front office with a Swiffer and called it a day. I’ve had nothing but complaints and had to basically harass the front leasing office daily with phone calls for noise issues, smells, garbage, and my ongoing maintenance issues with my apartment. My tub is practically broken and I was told “we don’t even know how to fix this” and given no solution or remedy. It’s unsafe and dangerous and illegal for the landlord to not fix this issue and I’ve attempted multiple times to contact The Connor Group headquarters only to be greeted by J*** B*** (apartments.com doesn’t allow use of names) who tells me “well you can’t break your lease so I can’t help you” as she forwards me over to someone named B*** D*** who has not gotten back to me and J*** refuses to provide me any direct numbers to contact anyone else for help. I’ve requested my lease agreement multiple times verbally upon move in and thereafter and now in writing and they’ve refused to even provide me the documents I’ve signed. I am actively trying to end my lease to leave this hell hole and they are refusing to help me and continue to ignore my efforts, I was lied to and manipulated and this continues. Please take this warning and think twice before even looking at these apartments or any other managed by The Connor Group.
The staff are tremendous. The floor plans are what led me to this property as I wanted split, large, and open floor plans that would fit our living situation. I leased SIGHT UNSEEN and was nervous, but on move-in day I was completely thrilled with the unit and all the prep work the property team did in preparation of our arrival. So happy to be here! Communication and preparation on your part makes all the difference in the move experience.
My boyfriend and I have been here for the last 4 years and they are terrible ESPECIALLY AFTER THE NEW BUYERS AND MANAGEMENT CAME!!! The mailboxes have been broken for HALF A YEAR NOW, we have had a package stolen from our mailbox, and a neighbors package got taken off their porch, they canceled our internet and didn’t tell us we had to find out through our internet provider, we used to only pay $60 now it’s $100 through the apartments.. there’s no parking available majority of the time, our rent was raised to the same price as the units with personal garages yet we don’t have one, maintenance always comes to fix something but leaves it half way finished and never come back we have to call the office just to remind them otherwise they write it off that the repairs are completed. The gates always break down and the gate code thing always shocks us when we use it. There’s always a possum or raccoons lurking around at night because of the garbage that piles up at the dumpsters, the bug problem is a whole other nightmare, hornets and wasps build nests regularly in the hallways of the apartments. The front desk is so hard to get ahold of via phone. There’s always something wrong with the water and we barely get notified of anything… PLEASE DON’T MOVE HERE!
Here at Canyon Creek we have great management from top to bottom, We have a wonderful individual In M. Danielle, she will sit down with you and work things out with you in accordance to your apartment home needs. Her team is top notch and know their busines and are read to assist you. It is a friendly and peacefull place to live. The landscaping is one of beauty, keep very clean. The Maintanace is quiet responsive when needed, lead by Mr. Moses who belivies in fixin things right, cuts cost and makes for a very happy tenant. Happy Living here 3yrs...
I love my new apartment! I have a wrap around patio that fits my plants needs with so much light! Happy to call it home
Leaks in the ceiling allowing rain into apartment ceiling - and mold grows. 1980s appliances. Plumbing/sewage problems. Maintenance is super apathetic and slow. Management has failed after three notices to do anything to fix it for the past 6 weeks. This has happened to several apts that I know of. Management, without my knowledge or consent, cancelled my cable service (I don't know how) with the cable company by saying they would pay for it. They never told me this, then they turn around and bill me $100 per month for internet when I was paying $60 for the past four years! Snakes - deceitful. Don't be fooled by new paint!
New management has ruined these apartments. This place used to be amazing. The grounds were beautifully kept, the staff were helpful and polite, and issues were always addressed in a timely and professional manner. NOW, THINGS ARE ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, FOR YOUR OWN SANITY DO NOT COME LIVE HERE. First off, all images you see online are now false. The apartments are being painted a tacky orange, white, blue AND green. It's hideous, and in the process of the paint job, workers are coming onto all the tenants porches and ripping them apart. All the landscaping is either being ripped up or dying. Maintenance calls are being left ignored or with inadequate results (they've come to "fix" my toilet twice - third call they just gave up I guess because no one ever showed up). Staff is EXTREMELY rude, and, to top things off, this is no longer a gated community, as the gates have been broken for the past three months (by the way, when I called to complain about this, the front office employee told me that if it matters so much to me, why don't I come up with a way to fix it). I have never been treated so poorly in my life. Additionally, every month they tack on more fees under a mysterious "Residential Billing Services" label. In June, it was $40, July was $60, and this month it's $80. Everyone here is confused and miserable with the lack of explanation. This place has gone so far downhill. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
I have lived at the Reserve for 3 years now and all was going great until management changed a few months ago. 'Corporate office' is referred to (located in Austin) everytime questions are asked. Seems no one in the leasing office can answer questions. The leasing office is short staffed as is the maintenance staff. Their website has no way to report maintenance needs, and there is no maintenance staff available on weekends. The repaving project has been a nightmare for elderly and handicapped. We were told each repaving phase would take 2 days when indeed it took them a week to partially complete phase 1. The painting of the entire complex is another issue. The color scheme of blue, green, orange and ecru leaves a lot to be desired. Why not just refresh the current colors and clean up the weeds and trash bins? New management has introduced 'valet trash pick up' which is an attempt to keep trash in bags instead of residents throwing loose trash in the large bins. This valet trash is not an option for the responsible residents who know how to bag their trash and walk the few feet to the bin. If I hadn't already signed a lease, I would be looking elsewhere at this point but I'm hoping the corporate office will fully staff this site soon and take care of the residents with respectful and timely communication and service.
We started our paperwork with the Reserve at the very beginning of June. They took a $350 deposit to hold the apartment, and then dragged out finalizing the lease for 5 weeks, making tons of excuses for their delays and assuring us every step of the way that everything was fine (as it should have been, we have plenty of money, good credit, a great rental history, volunteered to pay the entire lease up front, and had a great co-signer as a backup) - only to tell us we weren't approved, 6 days before our agreed upon move-in day. In the end, liquid assets are inadequate as income proof, they don't allow you to pay for the entire lease up-front as a "rule", and they don't allow you to use a co-signer if you're over 28, as another "rule". All of which were concerns we addressed in detail on day one, before we paid the deposit, because as sole proprietor business owners our tax returns reflect a low taxable income due to a mountain of deductions, including initial investment write-offs, which we have detailed logs for. Again, everything was assured to be fine. Had they told us all of these “rules” at the beginning we would have simply left and found a property that had more reasonable terms. Needless to say, their bizarre stalling has been catastrophic for both our family and business when combined with the housing crisis in the area, and the fact that our existing lease was up. Good luck finding room for a family of four at the last second anywhere right now, even if you can pay for the entire lease up front. Do yourself a favor, stay far away from this place.
I’ve lived here a year now and love it! I feel safe and any problems are taken care of within 24 hours. Staff are very friendly. Great place to live!
Pretty cool place to live at. They will work with you if you have any problems.
I moved here about 5 months ago despite the bad reviews. I decided to give them a try, and I cannot regret my choice. The apartment was in perfect conditions when I received it, all the floor was brand new, the areas are really nice, specially the pet areas, maintenance is quick and effective, the management team is awesome and when I go visit them to pick up a package they make me feel welcome, and always ask if everything is okay with my apartment. The best experience I've had so far. If you have the chance to move in definitely take it! They run out of apartments to rent for a reason!!!
Great apartment complex!! Recently changed ownership and service has improved significantly. Maintenance is on top of their game and all apartments have been recently upgraded. If you do not have washer and dryer you could rent or use the community utility room. Easy access to all mayor highways I-10, 1604, and 410. Location here is a huge plus close to great restaurants, bars, movie theaters, etc. Down side is carpet all around and small apartment. Also their are still going through some renovation which can be a pain sometimes.
