Fort Wayne combines the bustle of a city with the laid-back charm of a small Midwestern town. North Fort Wayne, which incorporates several smaller neighborhoods and an array of parks, sits about two and a half miles north of Fort Wayne’s center. Interstate 69 zips directly through the neighborhood, making it an ideal base for people who need to commute into the city.
Find an apartment available for rent near the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo and fuel your children’s need for adventure. At the zoo, kids of all ages can enjoy the opportunity to hand-feed the giraffes, a privilege not often found at many other zoos. This zoo also offers five different rides, including the Z.O. & O. Railroad that lets you enjoy the park in its entirety from the comfort of a train.
Coyote Creek Golf Club and Colonial Oaks Golf Club, both of which lie within the confines of the area, give sport-loving locals plenty of room to unwind.

Property Ratings at Reserve at Dawson's Creek
We have lived here for over three years and love it--area is great, property is maintained nicely, and the front office staff is always courteous and willing to discuss and fix any issues that are obviously within reason. Far better than any other properties we have lived at in the area. Would recommend!
Property Manager at Reserve at Dawson's Creek, Responded To This Review
Hello! And thank you for your kind words and high rating! We're pleased to hear that you're happy with our staff, location, and property upkeep. It's great to know that we've surpassed your expectations compared to other properties. Your recommendation means the world to us!
This community is fairly quiet and very safe, I will give it that. However the apartment complex is falling apart and is poorly maintained. The staff has also lied twice about repairs in the apartment just so they could avoid giving us our security deposit back. The microwave constantly malfunctioned to the point where the only way to reset it was to turn the circuit breaker off and then back on. The plumbing constantly failed with leaks or clogs often. Someone would come to repair it and within two to three months it was an issue again or another one had broke. Be aware if you are in an apartment above a garage that your pipes will freeze once its about 10-15 degree out or below. Even the toilets froze! I have never seen that in any residence I have ever lived in in three different states. I spoke to them about the carpet getting somewhat dirty and that I wasn't sure if that would be an issue when we would be leaving the apartment in a few months. They appeared to be understanding and friendly about the issue claiming that they expected the carpet to need a cleaning and that unless they couldn't get a stain out that we wouldn't be charged for it. Now that we have moved out they claim the carpet cleaning will cost $75 regardless and wont give us back our $100 deposit. In fact we now owe for utilities that would have otherwise been covered by our deposit. We would have gotten at least $25 back but they claim we broke one of the blinds in the apartment which is an outright lie. We rarely if ever even used the blinds, If it is broken it was given to us like that from the begging (no surprise). I am disappointed that there is such dishonesty with this apartment building. One last note I'd like to add is that once they know you are leaving for sure the office girls aren't as friendly or nice to you. Don't waste your time with place, find yourself a newer and better maintained apartment with an genuine staff.
We lived at the Reserve apartments for just over a year after moving back to Fort Wayne and before moving into a house. We searched and toured through nearly all of the apartment communities that seemed to be rated the highest and had many difficulties or reservations with signing and moving in. It seemed like we were just going to have to sacrifice something we wanted. But we took a last second look at the Reserve apartments and were given a tour by Alyssa. She took us through 2 different apartments that were available and we did not feel pressured in the slightest. It felt very comfortable and we signed that night without any doubts or concerns! Within a week we were moved in and did not have a single issue the entire time we were there. Any friends we brought over always complimented how nice the apartments are and also on how large they are. The neighbors were always very friendly and the staff is very responsive and engaging with any needs and even feel like family. Highly recommend living in this community or at least taking a look of you want a place that is very high quality, comfortable, and that you are proud to come home to!
We lived at the Reserves for 2 years while waiting to buy a home. It was a wonderful experience. The staff are amazing, friendly and accommodating. Great location, close to everything you need. I would highly recommend living at the Reserves. Awesome swimming pool, playground, tennis courts and exercise room.
I have lived at the reserves for two years now. The apartment is very spacious and updated. The staff is amazing!!! I couldn't have picked a friendlier or more convenient place to live. It is close to everything you need, groceries, shopping and entertainment. The staff is friendly and willing to help and work with you in whatever may arise. I highly recommend this community amongst all others in this area for price, spaciousness, updated, friendliness and convienence!
Currently living at these apartments for the last 10 months and can't say we are pleased. So, so many things have been broken. They are newer apartments, however things are always breaking. Our dryer has broken, there are spiders and ants everywhere no matter how many times I vaccum/clean, the drains smell awful even if you clean them, our shower drain clogs weekly, there are like 7 bees that swarm our balcony so there's most likely a hive, our garage door has broken 3 times and we have been waiting 5 days now to get it fixed and the manager said "i'll ask the owner if she'll reimburse you for those days without a garage, see if she's cool with it.... (well we are paying $2 a day for the garage so I am NOT paying when it's broken and no one bothers to fix it), we had a "temporary" door in our extra bedroom that we were told would be swapped out after a week of being there and 10 months later it's still there and the hinges don't match up so we have never been able to close the door all the way (have asked for new door about 3 times and we finally gave up), our air conditioning/heat has broken 2 times, the list goes on. For the amount we pay, and the way the management has so poorly handled the issues, it is not worth it. Pay half the price and go somewhere else with less problems. Not to mention the mountain sized speed bumps they added that my Jeep struggles to go over. This place is really not worth it. Struggling to hang on these last 2 months.
Just moved in, extremely pleased with the staff (Dana and Jessica are awesome!!!) and the apartment. Very excited to start my new life here!
Roof leaks, drain odors, mold. They charge you for what they don't fix or never worked.
I just moved into the community a couple of weeks ago and was made to feel at home right away! The staff was very welcoming from the very start! My apartment was clean, carpets were cleaned (still wet), and the walls seemed to be painted nicely. The apartment is HUGE and the grounds are very nice. Lots of amenities and located right by the YMCA which is AWESOME! I just moved from a community here in town and The Reserve blows them out of the water. What a hidden gem in Fort Wayne!
Really loved my time at the Reserve. My condo with garage felt like living in a home except without the maintenance and without the association dues and interior maintenance of owning a condo. I was very sad to leave but needed to be closer to my family out of state. I would highly recommend to anyone!
I checked out a ton of complexes on the North side before choosing The Reserve as my new home. The location is perfect- so close to the highway and grocery stores but you wouldn't even know it.. not right on the road. I love my apartment. I have 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms plus a garage. I love tanning, working out, and hanging out at the pool. The dog park is kind of hard to find and is literally just a fenced in area, but better than nothing. The staff has always been very pleasant and I really have no complaints! I made the right choice moving to The Reserve!
I lived in Dawson's Creek for 4 years. In a 2 bedroom, then a 3 bedroom. Great staff and great community. Apts. were very comfortable and never felt boxed in. Staff always took care of us and maintenance was really great on keeping the walks cleared during heavy snowfall. Unfortunately, I hear they did some great upgrades but it was after I moved out :( I'd recommend to anyone!
Was really thrown for a loop and wish I'd read the real reviews first. This is not luxury living. Things are falling apart. The outside of these places are being eaten by birds. Very loud, very heavy 24/7 noise with proof goes on for months, and even though it breaks the lease no one will do anything about it. I really expected so much more for the incredible amount of money I'm paying. And unfortunately I am tied to a lease that is being broken on the other end.
I have lived here for over a year and I love it!! The office staff is always nice and prompt....never had any issues with maintenance nor have I had any issues with noise!! I would definetely recommend this place!
Absolutly terrible. Constant barking from dogs, animal waste and trash all over. Had kitchen light fall out of ceiling. Had my apartment flooded from leaking toilet upstairs. Bugs all over and smell of animal urine in my carpet. Manager gave my carport away because they thought I wasn’t using it even though I pay for it. Have random charges added to my bill that cannot be explained. Don’t let the pictures fool you.
Been here over 2 years and looking for new place. Love the location; however, lots of noise from neighbors, reported maintenance issues remain unresolved for months now, and very little living space and almost nill storage. Also, lots of dog owners who do not pick up pet waste. Paying way too much considering these issues.
I have lived here for 2 years and have been relatively happy. We have had no noise or neighbor issues and find that this apt has a very convenient location. I have been happy living here, but for the money they are charging there are probably better options along DuPont Road. Maintenance and Lawn Care / Snow removal is very poor in my opinion and the parking lot is in terrible condition, especially for one of the most expensive apartment complexes in town. Our actual apartment is nice quality with 9 foot ceilings and feels new. Kitchens are very small and there is no pantry in the 2 bedroom floor plan.
