Property Ratings at Reserve at Douglasville
I’ve been living here for a year and when I say it’s so many problems. Maintenance doesn’t fix anything and when they do the work isn’t done properly. I just renewed my lease for another year and they raised rent prices after telling us that the rent prices wouldn’t change. The rent prices are supposed to match your monthly income and it’s beyond that now. The walls are so thin. You can literally hear your neighbor having a whole conversation or arguing with spouses, etc. Bugs everywhere. Trash everywhere. We’ve had a change in management like three times and each time nobody knows anything or is helpful with questions regarding the property. I’m not too sure if I am going to stay here the whole year. I may end up breaking my lease and going elsewhere. Also I have a 2 bedroom/2 bath and the apartments are so small. If you have a king size bed you can forget about it. The bed will fill up your whole room. I will say though that it is very quiet and nothing too crazy be going on in the neighborhood but this apartment complex is so cheaply made. You can tell they just threw them up really fast.
I have been living here since they opened and believe when I say, it's about to be a hot mess. Within a year, my a/c has went out twice, mold already started growing in my dishwasher, ants and roaches are coming in from somewhere due to bad construction, trash is all over the property, you can't hardly mount or hang pictures( nothing but sheet rock), the walls are so thin you'll think your neighbor next door lives with you, they already changed management just for new management to be worse, my stove has went out, no emergency maintenance, and they went up on our rent without notice and after the previous management stated that it wouldn't change. And guess what, they not doing nothing about it. You'll think by them being new, you wouldn't have these problems...think again. Can we say Affordable Housing?? Give it another year, it's going to be nothing but high end projects. Throw the whole complex away. Help us Lord!
“Field mice” everywhere and I don’t see them doing anything about. Took 5 months to get pest control to kill bugs so this problem will probably become much bigger before they actually do something.
I am blessed to be approved and able to move in next week. However, I have read the other reviews and I will say, due to the high volume of applicants before the apartments were built on top of new applicants, it became a very long wait. I waited over 5 months to get my approval, but the ladies in the office was friendly, professional and did all they could to get through the hundreds of applicants, including myself. I made it a urgent priority to drop off documents and send emails as well as continually check on where I stood in the process. Yes, we were given a date to where applications would be done processing, but unfortunately they needed more time, which is understandable. I am blessed to have myself and my sons moving in and settling next week. It’s all Positive energy within my experience and I hope you all find the same in yours. Thank you to the ladies in the office for being a great help!
They have people come apply in mass numbers. take your money for applications and never reply and although it’s just 17-30$ it’s unprofessional and apparently consistently happening.
This is the most unprofessional place I have ever experienced dealing with. I have placed my name on the waitlist online for an appointment because I am planning to relocate to ga in a few months, and I was reached out through email to come in to do an application back in May but unfortunately I couldn't make the appointments because it was sent a day before and I live in another state. I reached out by phone, left a voicemail and email to try to reschedule another date but she never replied back to the email nor the phone. Moving on forward, I joined the waitlist again and I was sent out an email on (7/20/23) for appointment dates which was only 7/17/23-7/20/23. Why would they send an email on 7/19/23 which left me with only one-day to come in (7/20/23) because those other dates have already passed. I replied back to the message and asked for another date as well due to only having one da because they sent the email out two days later, very unprofessional. If this keeps going on there are going to be a lot of complaints about this team and it will be so many new faces working in out of that office all the time. I have never had a problem with a property manager responding back to me with questions and concerns but this one. This complex is new and beautiful, and it is way too early to be getting bad reviews and complaints already. They definitely need a new management team at this point.
I have recently moved in and enjoy living here. I see other posts about it being a timely process, but I believe it is due to the high volume of applicants. The front office is always friendly and maintenance takes care of things in a timely matter.
I’ve applied over two months ago and still have not heard anything back. No email , no call or anything. They told me it would take 3-4 weeks to complete and process everything and here it is 2 months and still nothing. I really had high hopes for these apartments.
The manager at this location is already unprofessional. She doesn’t answer the phone nor does she return calls. This is bad before the company can even rent their units. Please hire a whole new management team.
