Salem is home to the historic Willamette University, with its beautiful campus located right downtown next to the state capitol. The university regularly hosts concerts by the Oregon Symphony, art shows, theater productions, and other popular cultural events. The majestic capitol building, flanked by daffodils and cherry blossoms, overlooks Downtown and creates a stunning centerpiece for the city.
Salem is an excellent place for folks who love the outdoors, offering endless opportunities for hiking, biking, camping, and kayaking both in the city (Bush’s Pasture Park, Riverfront Park) and nearby (Silver Falls State Park). The city is also positioned right in the heart of Oregon’s wine country, and the Salem Wine Trail is a popular circuit of local vineyards that locals love as much as visitors. Salem hosts a full roster of major events and celebrations throughout the year, with the biggest being the Oregon State Fair, which draws thousands of people from around the state every August.

Property Ratings at Reserve at Hawk's Ridge
Nice apartments, the surrounding areas are a bit sketchy with homeless people wondering through the parking lot in the middle of the night. Lived there 6 years, paid a deposit upon moving in and got charged a $1005 when I left to replace their “premium” carpet they chose to install. That was on top of them using my deposit. We are OCD clean and left the apartment in good shape. I called to verify what we were being billed for and they wouldn’t provide an invoice without me disputing their claim. The agent on the phone informed me people have been charged upward of $4000 upon move out. We were good tenants and never had any complaints and kept our space clean, just know the overarching company doesn’t care about anything but money.
This is a great place to rent. The manager Melodie is top notch, and goes out of her way to do special things for the residents, such as Easter Egg hunts, raffles etc. There is a nice gym and pool, and the complex is well maintained. Any issues are handled quickly and correctly.
This apartment complex is exceptional. Management is extremely contientious, friendly and helpful. A wonderful place to live in a safe gated community.
The apartments are roomy and well laid out. The amenities, from the pool, 24/7 gym and community center, to the playground and dog run are all great. The staff are friendly, helpful and address any problems right away. They also plan regular community events. It helps make this place fee like home. There are a lot of people that live here, but it doesn’t seem like a typical crowded apartment complex. It’s well laid out, and everyone is very friendly.
I have lived here for a while now. Living here was pretty great until they got new management. Parking is insane now, they don't enforce the parking rules so there is no place to park at night. There is increased police activity recently. It is often very loud and rowdy on weekends. There is no after hours management any longer if you need something. If you complain about rules not being enforced they will retaliate against you instead of just enforcing the rules. Used to be a great place to live now it is not. They keep increasing the rent but conditions keep getting worse. The new management has made it a very uncomfortable place to live.
Wonderful place to call home~staff/management have excellent attitudes towards taking care of the community&Tenants..with the amenities alone everything is right near us,shopping, park, you have to come check it out yourself to see in person your Future home/rental..You won't be disappointed??
