Off the western banks of the Hudson River is Newburgh, a historic city about 60 miles north of New York City. Newburgh has easy access to the surrounding areas via the interstate or public transit. The Stewart International Airport is located right outside of the city limits making travel accessible.
Because of Newburgh’s role in the American Revolution, the town has many historically significant sights like the Washington Headquarters House, the David Crawford House, the New York State Armory, and several other must-see sights. Historical landmarks aren’t the only attraction to this area. There are scenic parks like the Unico Park, located off the shore of the Hudson River, and Delano-Hitch Park.
There are many education options in this city. The Newburgh Enlarged City School District is the public school system that serves this area.

Property Ratings at Reserve at Lakeside 55+
I’ve enjoyed living at Reserve at Lakeside very much. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. Our apartment is cozy, attractive and comfortable. The property manager does an excellent job. One point of note - sometimes the refuse room has a lingering odor extending into the hallway.
The apartment is spacious and modern. Would prefer to.have a walk in shower. Very upset and unhappy with dealing with.roackes even though my apartment has been treated 3x Props to Chris in maitanance. He has been very helpful and has such a pleasant personality. I.likr having a balcony.
We love it here. Our building is full of friendly, fun people. The others we have met when walking are very friendly as well. Maintenance is very accommodating and prompt.
My move in was November 13th. So far two of my floor neighbors have introduced themselves and welcomed me. Also, Chris the maintenance man popped his head in and introduced himself on the day of my move. I called the property manager to ask about the heat yesterday and the answering service person paged Chris and he immediately called me from offsite after hours to answer and resolve my question on the heating unit in my apt. So far I am real pleased with my residency here.
Excellent place to live clean and quiet great location Close to all highways Has pool and pickelball if you like outdoor activities everyone very friendly
23 HOURS! That's how long I have my keys for the Reserve at Lakeside! Our tour was scheduled two weeks ago with this Property Manager. Expect a smooth transition to becoming an apartment owner here, when dealing with a Professional, who is compassionate, efficient, communicative and cordial. Impressive are the cleanliness, warmth and charm of the Unit and Reserve at Lakeside grounds. Unexpected abundance of joy! Thank you.
We are enjoying living here . The neighborhood is nice, it’s very quiet and peaceful. The pool area is nice and well kept, looking forward to the common area opening
Most residents make it feel like a community. Upkeep of buildings, floors, windows, refuse room need work. Just spent the first winter here and snow removal was disastrous.
Has been a very positive experience. After living in a house for 35 years I a was apprehensive on how I would adapt to a shared environment. I am very happy to say it has exceeded my expectations.
I love living here. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Problems/issues are handled well, especially with the website for maintenance requests and the like. The apartment itself is just the perfect size. At one time they may have seemed pricey, but with the way the rents have increased allover, the price fits the quality. I am very comfortable here. The clubhouse can be used for private affairs, the pool and pickleball court area is well maintained. Close to all necessary amenities, such as grocery stores, department stores, food places, convenience stores, gas stations, and plenty of medical offices.
Enjoying the beautiful grounds . Great neighbors everyone is so friendly. Maintenance is fantastic very clean all over the property. Clubhouse management is wonderful helped us out so much. She was great. I’m in building 13 . Love seeing all the deer’s in the woods.
It's nice to see if someone spills something on the floor and the elevator it's cleaned up right away. Even if cleaned by someone else. The parking is great a lot of spaces. And it's so nice to see neighor's are friendly just a smile and hello goes along way.
The grounds are kept up to perfection, it’s so peaceful here. The neighbors all have their own lives but all make it a point to be friendly. I loved using the pool when it was open as I was able to do my water exercises in a super clean pool daily.
The grounds are not looking as good as they did when we first moved here. Also. the response time to maintenance requests has deteriorated. Walls are thin and exposes tenants to noise.
I enjoy the pool and the efforts made to schedule activities. The storage area comes in very handy.. The staff is always friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Very quiet and clean. Relatively new appliances. The grounds are well maintained and everyone is very friendly. I do wish the pool had longer hours
Everyone is very friendly ,Earny is great along with Roseann. The complex is very clean. The community is extremely welcoming. We are smokers,I wish there was an area for smokers, but I understand why there is not.
Wonderful community and neighbors! Beautiful grounds with well manicured areas! The apartments are beautiful through out. I love the area. Wonderful!!
We thoroughly enjoy living here. We have not bern able to participate in the many weekly activities because of other personal committments, but hope to do so soon. The staff has been pleasant and helpful. Any concerns we have had have been addressed promptly and courteously.
Excellent place when you are 55 and over, very safe, beautiful pool and any maintenance issues you have a responded to. The landscaping is gorgeous and maintained regularly. It is a very relaxing and quiet place to reside.
Moving in beginning of August. The rental procedure was great. Roseanne made everything easy. The property is immaculate & lobby is kept perfect
Clean and bright and so very quiet! Ideal for 2 empty nesters. The pool and exercise room are well maintained. The grounds are neat and well-kept.
This apartment complex was once a well maintained property . This past year , it has declined . The lawn has been mowed only once this season . There’s dead landscape trees & the outside of the buildings are filthy .
Horrible snow removal and no lawn care, grass is over a foot in spots, a haven for ticks and snakes!!!! A no smoking community yet cigarette butts all over property, and some tenants even smoke on their balconies! Old leaves from last year still up against buildings along with weeds, old mulch(which roaches love to nest in) and sprinkler hoses exposed on top of old mulch. New owners don’t care what it looks like just care about filling apts. Some buildings are more like nursing homes and assisted living residences and smell like them too. Use to be a heated pool but not anymore with new owners, actually it needs to be drained, cleaned and painted but that’s not going to happen, new owners are too cheap! Sure not worth the money they charge!
Community is nice, residents are nice. Grounds and pool in sorry shape. Lack of management concern. This community is only three years old but starting to look more like thirty
We enjoy living here. It is peaceful and quiet, yet has many activities. We particularly enjoy the woods behind our apartment. The complex is within easy reach of major highways, stores and restaurants.
Since being sold last year the place has taken a downturn in both maintenance and management. Still remains a decent place . Snow removal and general landscaping not kept up nearly as well as in the past
I’m starting my 2nd year here and it has been a decent place to live. There’s a pool and a gym to use. The club house offers events every now and again.
Really like living here. Everyone has been so nice and helpful. I needed handrails installed in my shower and it was done quickly and nicely. It makes a big difference getting in and out of the shower so I don’t fall. My neighbors in my building are so helpful to me if I am having a hard time caring grocery bags they help. I also have some great neighbors who clean off my car in the snow for me since I am older and afraid of falling. Love living here. Getting ready to sign my lease for another year.
Beautiful atmosphere!! I feel like living in the forest. Also neighbers are nice and friendly. Good maintence . All unit apartment is quiet ,clean and safe.
Brand new apartments with elevators, Samsung appliances, Club house with a gym and an outdoor pool with a grilling area. When the warm seasons arrive there's a great balcony to enjoy a cup of coffee while reading a great book. There are some really nice people living in this community.
The Property Manager is very helpful and concerned about the tenant's happiness. The Complex is very clean and well kept. Most of the tenants are pleasant and friendly.
