Property Manager at Reserve South, Responded To This Review
We're delighted to know that your move into Reserve South Apartments was a breeze! It's great to know you found our staff helpful and the apartment clean. We appreciate your positive feedback, and we're here if there's anything else you need. Enjoy settling in at your new home!
Longtime resident. Great community! Well kept grounds and the staff are courteous and professional. Excellent maintenance service. And neighbors look out for each other.
I have been trying to move in for a while now, But no one EVER answers the phone. I have had them call me back but my phone only rings once and they hang up. I called back within the same minute and still received no answer. I had to go to the leasing office and practically bang on the door just to get someone to answer a couple of my questions. At this point, I’m not sure how I would move in and how to speak with someone. They have left no voicemails, or emails so I have very limited knowledge on how much the move in fees are. I filled out 2 applications and still have yet to receive a call back or an email or SOMETHING!! This may be a good place to live, but their communication is HORRIBLE!!
Maintenance really good work orders are done plenty fast
The apartment complex itself is nice and comfortable. However, every since the Pandemic has started the office staff has been very distant with communicating with the residents. I understand whole heartedly the importance of practicing social distancing and keeping the residents and staff safe. But the staff here at Reserve South has taking this opportunity a bit far. I watch from my apartment window new and old residents having to wait outside the renters office as if they are not a valued renter to sign papers or just ask general questions. The staff acts as if everyone who steps at the door is some sort of contagious resident. I have toured other properties recently and they too are practicing social distancing like self guided tours etc. but all guest and residents are still welcome inside the office and greeted with respect. Recently I came into the office to inquire about an upgrade, the door was open so I proceeded to come in. The property manager looked shocked and informed me that no one is still allowed into the office. Prior to coming into the office I called multiple times and left a voicemail and no one had reached out to me. So I thought coming into the office as a valued resident who has always paid my rent on time was not a problem. Instead I was talked to as though I was some sort of contagious resident. Everyone is out here risking their lives at work to keep the country going so why do they feel as though they can sit in the office and not greet or welcome residents by keeping the office door locked. As I mentioned before I called multiple times prior to coming in. I just feel as though if it is so unsafe to work, work from home. It’s rude and it’s not inviting at all. I don’t feel appreciated or respected as a resident. During this whole pandemic the staff has become difficult to communicate with. I see so many future residents signing their leases outside in the rain/cold as the office staff stands in front of them inside the building while they sign papers. It is very disturbing, if we are so contagious why still take out money.
Moving here was the best decision I made. Its definitely worth the money. I love seeing that the property is maintained frequently, trash is picked up from the property, dumpster are conveniently placed and is emptied regularly, there is a trash valet service, maintenance request are responded to within 24 hours, the maintenance staff is amazing, alarm systems were added, and there are plenty amenities.
As a resident at Reserve South I was satisfied with living there it's convenient to everything, the rent is Affordable, if I had a maintenance issue it was resolved within 24 hours, the grounds were kept up and manicured oh, and the trash was always a priority so overall I was very happy as a resident at Reserve South
It a good place to live at if you can afford it!! Rent is too high!! Amenities you can do yourself outrageous!!!
Always satisfied with the service.Lived here 6 Years,no complaints.
Maintence is on top of everything. There were a few issues when I moved in, but they were all fixed in a timely manner, and I have no complaints!
Terrible place to live, roaches in apartments , both my bathrooms were broken .
I would reconsider living here if the opportunity arises.
A this time I could not in good faith give a good review of this apartment community or BH MANAGEMENT. They are hard to communicate with and during this entire pandemic, they shut off amenity services and they did not keep a pest control schedule in a place where there is a known infestation. They have a diverse community in which they cannot communicate with effectively because of a language barrier and those residents are allowed to do what they want without regard. So at this time I would not recommend or give a positive review about this complex.
I love living here. It's clean quiet, affordable and the staff professional and courteous. I'm quite satisfied and look forward to calling this home for a while.
Well maintained ground and buildings Pleasant, friendly surroundings Excellent, very professional staff
I love it here this neighborhood is so quiet & neat!
I have had an extremely bad experience at Reserve South and am counting down the days to when my lease expires so I can move.
If you want quiet, rarely hear the neighbors beside you, patio sets in the back among the trees this is the place for you. The complex is situated close to the interstate (5 minutes or less), highly rated hospital around the corner, access to a park right across from the hospital and speedy access to various restaurants. The grounds are kept really well. There is a pool with lounge chairs and tables where you can chow down. The management really cares about your well-being. Not a bad place to live:)
Newport Manor Apartments are one the best apartment complex in the city of Richmond. It is close to the main streets, it is close to most of the school in the city. I have lived here for almost 25 years and never had a problem that was not fix right away and management is courteous and understanding. Marvin D, Richmond Va
Apartment is beautiful and so are the grounds. The problem is Management. What the lease doesn't tell you is that your monthly late notice is an eviction notice where they actually come out and change your locks on your door. You never go to court and this is legal. My advice is don't move here. It's not worth it!!
When I first visit the location I thought it was just what I was looking for. The bedrooms are large which is great. I have very large furniture and my dining room furniture won't fit in the dining area. My living room area is very crowded I have a very small kitchen. I had to get two storage to put my extra furniture in. I really don't like the area. I want to move but I can't afford to move. Help...
Poor experience in the past. The noise level above and below was out of control.
