I would not recommend this apartment complex. I have lived at the place for 1.5 years. It seems like they are always doing apartment checks where they have to enter your home constantly. They even did an apartment check to check the lint in the dryer. There are also a lot of hidden fees on move out to be aware of(you have to get the apartment carpet professionally cleaned and show them the bill or they will charge you around $175 for just the carpet). When I first got the apartment it seems like they did not even do a standard cleaning- there were urine stains on and around the toilet in addition to dust balls. I don't think its fair to expect someone to have their apartment professionally cleaned including the carpets if you did not have them cleaned for my move in. I have never stayed at an apartment complex that has been this uptight.

It's a brand new apartment complex, so you'd expect everything to be awesome, right? Wrong. Management will never respond to your emails or your phone calls, even when you ask them to. There is not enough parking here for everyone, so have fun finding a place to park when you come home late. Our microwave broke after one use and was not even looked at for months, and when it was, they just replaced it with a new microwave from the empty unit next to ours. Why didn't they do that in the first place, you may ask, instead of leaving us with no microwave for two months? I have no idea. So don't expect maintenance issues to be done in a timely manner. Also, the automatic gates have not worked once since I moved in. Every time there's some excuse. Now it's that they're broken and they have to wait for a team from Houston to come out to fix them. That was in December. They just let us all know that they are working yesterday (February) but they were in fact, not working, and management gave out no explanation. That's the nice thing about management. They do not communicate a single thing to us. month ago, and the gates aren't working. Someone broke in a few months ago and stole the tires off of a few cars in the middle of the night because the gates are always open, and the gates still aren't functional. Anyway, that's what I and everyone else here signed up for. Working gates. And it's looking like they won't be working before I move out. I don't think management should advertise security and gates when there obviously is ZERO security here. Don't expect calls back or email replies from the office, either, because 99% of the time, they don't. They don't let you know when maintenance comes either, so prepare to be surprised. Will it be tomorrow, or next month? Who knows. You'll have to be the one to initiate the conversation, they will never let you know anything. When I ask for replies to an email, I never get them. Don't expect anything from the office, because they do. Not. Care. Anyway, don't move here.

I have moved around a bit and lived in a few apartment complexes before moving into Residence at Oakmont. No apartment staff prior to this has even came close to how friendly and accommodating the workers are here. The leasing and maintenance team will go above and beyond to make sure residents are happy in the community. Fallon and Charlie helped me far beyond their job descriptions when I had a flat tire in the parking lot, and acts like that show how much they truly care about their tenants. All apartments and amenities are beautiful and look as pictured on the website. Although there are a lot of other apartments in BCS that are nice to look at too, you will not find another complex with the hospitality I've seen here! I could not imagine living anywhere else!
DO NOT LIVE HERE! Strap in because this is going to be a ride. Living here for the past year has been horrible. It blows my mind that all of these "5 star reviews" were posted within the last week commenting on amenities such as the pool and grill area which are not even open yet. The dog washing area has not even been constructed yet. The sod for the dog park was recently laid and once dogs start running through it, it will turn into a mud pit so I can't seem to understand how the posts say how beautiful it is. I have lived here since March of 2019, which is also when all the above amenities were to supposed to be finished and open to the residents, yet here I am almost a year later and none of the above mentioned are open (2/14/20). We were continuously lied to during our tour and once we moved in as to when these amenities would be open. This is a gated complex but the gates have never once been operational. From the beginning we were lied to. We were told we could not move in on the date we desired because they had to have our unit cleaned. When we arrived, it was obvious that it had not been cleaned and the unit that was supposed to be brand new and never lived in, had in fact been lived in. They did not have to have it cleaned, they had to wait for the superintendent of construction to move out since he had been living there. How did we find this out? His mail was in our mailbox. We walked into dried mud on the carpet, food in the fridge, splattered food in the microwave, and hair everywhere. We re-arranged our out of state moving plans and spent extra money to wait to have the place "cleaned". Part of the cost of rent is the "amenities" that are not even in use. We are paying for stuff that we do not get to enjoy, and when we asked what could be done to accommodate this, like giving us a parking space since parking is a nightmare, they gave us the run around and never did anything about it. Oh and don't forget about the construction workers that live in the unopened apartment buildings that are fenced off, and throw parties at night and have their guests hop the fences. It was also wonderful looking at a car that sat in the front of the parking lot with a flat tire for months. Plan on enjoying the amenities in the club house, such as pool, tv, study space, meeting room, etc? Make sure to plan on only using them from 9am-6pm and for even fewer hours on the weekend since it is locked up when the office closes.

Thank you for your feed back. I can tell you that we did have several construction set backs. A lot of which were outside of managements control. We are extremely sorry. I must say the Fitness Center, Leasing Bistro that includes FREE Starbucks Coffee and snack, package accepting by management, Valet Trash Service and others have all been available since September of 2018. You are correct about the gates, pool and pet park not being open (which are open now. Again we did have some unforeseen set back from the construction team and I am sorry about that...we certainly didn't lie to you, it was just something that happened out of our control. About your unit not being cleaned...I will own this. This was a mistake and management has learned from this mistake. We take pride in customer service and this certainly was a learning experience for us and permanent procedures were put in place to make sure this did not happen again. I am so sorry that you have had a bad experience and I hope, whomever you are! Just know that the Oakmont onsite team is here to provide superior customer service and that some of the things were just out of our hands. I hope now that the pool and pet park are open you are enjoying our great amenities.
