Situated in the Texas Panhandle, Amarillo is a definitive product of the Lone Star State, marrying the old and the new with working cattle ranches, the Tri-State Fair and Rodeo, a broad range of diverse cuisine, and a host of modern amenities.
Amarillo preserves its rich history with designated landmarks like the Center City Historic District along Polk Street, Route 66, Llano Cemetery, the Madame Queen locomotive, and the Texas Panhandle War Memorial in addition to extensive exhibits at the American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame and Museum and the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum.
Amarillo is also home to a well-established arts scene anchored by the Amarillo Opera, Amarillo Symphony, Lone Star Ballet, and Amarillo Little Theatre. The eclectic Cadillac Ranch, one of the world’s first roadside sculptures, features ten spray-painted Cadillacs buried nose-down in an Amarillo field off of I-40 as well.

Property Ratings at Residences at Town Square
Dirty - don’t give cleaning part of security deposits back - terrible management. Smells, bird poop problems. Elevators constantly broke
Apartments don't require pet owners to clean up. Crap everywhere. Trash just sits in the buildings and no response from management.
So this is my second time moving here and I really don’t know why… So many tenants are just not respectful of the others who live here. Leaving trash around cause they too lazy to take it out, never picking up after their dogs (literally urine in the elevators and won’t clean it, or poop in the halls). Tenant above always making loud weird noises at night. Complained three times and nothing. Pretty much any complaints don’t get resolved. Car parks in the same place right next to tenant windows in a tow away zone and revs his engine at 2am when he leaves and the have yet to tow him. If you like peace and quiet avoid this place at all cost! Especially if you work nights. If your fine with disgusting and rude tenants, and management that does nothing this is your place. Also the fire alarms go off randomly and we even had the building flood because a tenant decide to trigger the sprinklers. Got 6 more months til out house and thank god.
There's no care for the property anymore. In building 3, the elevators malfunction at least 2-3 a month. In fact, one has been out of service for over a month. The parking lot lights have not worked in over 6 months, making it pretty dangerous at night if you don't watch your step. Lots of dog poop in the grassy areas and dogs messing in the hallways. Management does not enforce parking. They constantly send mass texts saying they're going to start towing but they never do - it's all lip service. Also lip service: secured access. Almost 2 years they said they were working on secured access but nothing yet. Lastly, the sprinkler system waters the road. Lots of standing water, leading to potholes and summertime mosquito swarms. The upside is that the apartment interiors are nice and the complex is in a good location.
Current resident and have contacted property management multiple times about other residents and their pet excrement everywhere. Residents dogs poop and pee in elevators constantly. It is gross and they do nothing. Such a shame as this place has so much potential yet the residents themselves are completely disgusted by lack of governance around the property. Love pups and have one myself but I pick up after him and this is not common. Management is non exisistent and be warned you will step on some dog crap here that is for sure...
Only had one flat tire my whole life before moving here but I have had 4 in the last two years here due to construction all around.. lots of nails. Be careful :)
They are not very accommodating. I called for a tour and mentioned that I would be in town over the week, as I was currently living out of state. They didn't care and just said "well, we're only open Monday-Friday." Ooookay then.
These apartments have been having water leak issues all spring from the roof damage. Beware of top floor (5th and 4th floor) leaking. They also have no covered parking, so if you don't want hail damage you are out of luck. The gym next door uses the resident parking lots, so especially once the pool opens parking gets ridiculous.
Pros: The apartments are nice and spacious with updated appliances, walkable complex, and location is great. Maintenance has been very responsive the couple of times I had to call them. Friendly neighbors. Cons: People don't clean up after their dogs even though there are plenty of poop stations and bags. Trash from Cinergy or people hanging out and drinking/smoking in the residents parking lot. No speed bumps (unusual for an apartment complex or commercial area) so lots of drag racing and speeding in the back in the middle of the night. Most of the street lamps behind my building (where residents park) have been out for months and there have been incidents of theft from cars. Management seems disengaged and security seems ineffective.
They do not enforce parking here. People park anywhere they want. They even block the fire hydrants. We had a minor incident here last night and all of the fire hydrants were blocked when the fire department arrived. I’ve asked and pleaded with them to enforce the law and protect us but they won’t.
