Property Ratings at Residences at The Promenade
I am finishing my second year here, and just renewed again after a modest rent increase. Everything goes up every year for everyone (including homeowners), so I am OK with small increases. I see other reviews here about the unresponsiveness of management, and although I have had no major problems with my home, I disagree that they are unresponsive. I email or stop in to the office if I have a concern, and it's always handled in a timely manner. I feel like I live in a resort. The rent is high here considering it's the suburbs, but the building is meticulously maintained, the pool is fabulous, there are amenities I don't personally use like the community rooms, outdoor grilling areas, exercise room that's spotless and well-equipped. Yes, sometimes the elevator is out of order, and I...wait for it...take another one or I take the stairs! It's usually a minor inconvenience. My apartment is spacious, very thoughtfully laid out with storage for all I have, and I have a lovely balcony overlooking the pool. I do hear noise from my neighbors when I'm in the hallway, but I do not hear it when I'm in my home. Overall, aside from the occasional gathering in the outdoor common area late at night, I feel this is a quiet, peaceful place. I have great neighbors of all ages and family situations, and we have a friendly community. I have a dog, and this place is wonderful for her - lots of playmates, a dog washing area and two dog parks if I want to let her off leash. My life here is simple and, despite the high rent, it's still inexpensive compared to suburban home ownership. The building has nice retail, a Sprouts grocery, and restaurants in it. I go to physical therapy, and the PT is right in the building! Couldn't be more convenient. I will live here for as long as it financially makes sense for me to do so, and I will remember my time here fondly.

So much for luxury. Since I’ve been there, I seem to always be annoyed because something isn’t working. This week the elevator on my floor wasn’t working when I left to work Tuesday morning and no communication was sent out till the evening. Today is Friday and the elevator is still not working. They have no firm date as to when it will be fixed and when I called the person I spoke to Eileen told me it’s only been 4 days. Are you kidding me. I live on the 4th floor wear heels and have my work bag with me. The last thing I want to do when I get home from work is climb 80 steps. Completely unacceptable and I don’t know why I’m putting up with it and am still there. Oh and I pay $150 for a parking spot - so being told to use another elevator doesn’t eliminate the inconvenience.
On the outside this place seems nice. The apartments themselves are nice. The property is also equally nice. However, there are many unseen blemishes that the prospective tenant won’t see until moved in. One of the most poorly managed buildings. In the last 5 months there have been 4 managers. Be warned…..this place is not as it seems. Look elsewhere. I know I will not renew here.

Looks are very deceiving here. These apartments are cheaply thrown together with many little nuances. Once you sign your lease, you are on your own. Management does not help with things that are not working or broken and promised to be fixed before you move in. They are not luxury as stated and not worth the rent prices.

ALL MOVED IN - PROMENADE APARTMENTS BY FAR EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS! Completely blown away with Residences Promenade Apartments, aesthetically beautiful contemporary luxury style apartments with security entry doors to the building and elevators. It includes an immense amount of amenities. Beautiful grounds and immaculately maintained, surrounding area has walking and bike trails, sprawling pool, BBQ areas and elaborate outdoor and indoor dining areas, immaculate Fitness Center, massive Media Room, Ping Pong, Pool Table, phenomenal multiple lounging areas through out with a extensive coffee machine, as well as filtered water machine, Meeting room, underground parking available, bike racks, easy access to grocery and retail shops which is amazingly convenient. I viewed several apartment complexes in the area and Residences Promenade Apartments by far is exceedingly the most outstanding plus a great value due to all it has to offer its residents. All the staff is incredible, Alison is fantastic, Nikki is extremely helpful and expeditious in communications and they both make you feel welcome, they were extremely helpful in assisting me with all my questions. Diana was amazing when I made my initial call asking for details, she provided me with extremely helpful information about the apartments.. Lee was outstanding, he was friendly and patient during our tour and answered all our questions with concise information. .Lee's continued assistance with follow up questions was very much appreciated. Mac was so great and so helpful during move in. In a nutshell, the Residences at the Promenade is a PHENOMENALLY OUTSTANDING place to live!
