Although Aurora doesn’t have an official downtown district, City Center houses a lot of the city’s business establishments and is located in the middle of the Denver suburb. Along with multiple shopping plazas and restaurants, City Center is home to Town Center at Aurora, a large mall. The neighborhood also has a small park for residents to enjoy. The residential streets of City Center have condos and mid-rise apartments available for rent. Aurora is a popular option for commuters since it has a lower cost of living than Denver and typically has more affordable rental options as well. City Center is a great option for commuters because Interstate 225 is located along the neighborhood’s western border. Downtown Denver is only 19 miles away from City Center.

The amenities are 5 star, very clean spaces, and beautiful apartments.
Property Manager at Retreat at City Center, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for the 5 stars! We appreciate your feedback tremendously. Have a great day!
BED BUGS are infested in numerous apartments. They have been attempting to treat the issue but have done not nearly enough to rid the infestation. Apartments have been treated numerous times over the last few months and they are nowhere near to being gone. They should be eliminating the source of the infestation, which clearly they aren’t if they can’t get ride of them. NO STARS! . I only put 1 cause I had to put something. Just terrible

This a great apartment if you want to be close to everything right in the heart of Aurora CO. Very close to restaurants and shopping all in walking distance. Very close to the highway and about 20 minutes to downtown Denver. Updated apartments with hardwood and carpet which are very affordable and come with garage included. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Also light rail is currently being built that will give you access to Denver metro area. Its about 20 minute drive to Denver International Airport.
It's hard to write a non biased review about a place you live at and spend so much time and money, especially when it seems people only write reviews when they are angry/disappointed. But I'm going to try and make this as informational as possible. I have been a renter for a little more than a decade now so I have seen my share of apartments, each with their own little "quirks" if you will. I was originally attracted to this place because it looked similar in finishes to my old apartment and because it seemed to have more security features than other apartments in the area, which turned out to be a blessing and a curse for me later on down the line due a temporary physical handicap and needing constant visitors to come over, most of which had difficulty finding/entering the building. The first thing you may or may not notice is the layout of the complex itself, which you can't truly appreciate until you have entered the maze of a parking garage. I like to say it looks like they gave a bunch of first year engineering students a project, and this place was the result. As you walk around the block you will notice things like some units having a walk down patio while the identical unit right next to them does not, poorly labeled building letters/numbers, patio doors opening in different directions for no particular reason, being on the 1st floor of one building and turning around and being on the 3rd floor of another building etc. And let's not forget how if your apt faces a "courtyard" you will be looking right into your neighbors apt. Staff, not the best not the worst. If you have a maintenance request expect to call at least twice before anything gets done. After the second call they usually come right away. Finishes on the units are fairly cheap. Lots of things falling off like blinds, towel racks, toilet paper holder etc. Once you move past the above mentioned items it's not too bad. You get a lot for your money, especially in this market. Just expect to be underwhelmed and you may end up being satisfied.
