Although it is the state capital and located deep in the heart of Texas, Austin generally has more in common with places like Portland, Oregon rather than other large Lone Star State cities like Dallas or Houston. Consistently named one of the best places to live in America, Austin combines passions for food, live music, entrepreneurship, iconoclastic attitudes, and Texas traditions into a wholly unique cocktail that people just can’t get enough of.
The expansion of the tech industry and the wild popularity of music festivals like Austin City Limits and South by Southwest have boosted Austin’s profile as one of America’s most in-demand communities of the 21st century so far, attracting people from all walks of life and every corner of the world.
Regardless of their atypical culture, Texas pride runs deep in Austinites. Many of the city’s hip, young entrepreneurs are more than happy to deal in classic regional staples like Tex-Mex food, cowboy boots, and country music.

Property Ratings at RETREAT AT NORTH BLUFF
I recently moved here and it was a seamless experience. The staff was well organized and made me feel right at home. I have not had any issues arise that have not been promptly addressed and I love my apartment especially for the price!

Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad to hear you're enjoying your new home. Your satisfaction means a lot to us, and we're excited to have you as part of our community! Sincerely, Retreat at North Bluff Team
I've been a resident here for 4 years and management has turned over multiple times. Community maintenance has been neglected throughout that time (gates that don't work, lighting in buildings and the grounds that doesn't get replaced when reported, etc) but they're currently doing some work on that so maybe that will turn around? Maintenance issues in my unit typically have been resolved promptly until recently. My a/c has been out for a week and keep getting generic answers about how they'll tend to it but no one can tell me specifically what is wrong and when it will be repaired. If you're looking for a place that is communicative and respectful of their tenants, look elswhere.
My neighbor and I recently had a fire in our apartments and the smoke alarms never went off. They have never provided a reason for the fire or replaced the dryer recommended by the fire dept. They don't know how to communicate...they don’t care about you or your safety.

We are disappointed to hear that you did not have a more positive experience with us at Retreat at North Bluff. Our manager would really like to speak with you more regarding this matter. Please reach out to us at (512) 982-0667. We look forward to hearing from you.
My apartment is nice and I do not mind the location. Before we moved in, we found the people we spoke to on the phone very helpful and reliable. However, my partner and I are slightly annoyed now that we are here. We moved here in July, the dead of summer, to find that the pool was closed for resurfacing. I don't know why they chose to do this in the middle of summer. What we did not know is that it would still be closed until mid-August. It "reopened" Saturday but they did not give the gate code to anyone. They also seemed to forget to mention it is closed every Tuesday, so we showed up again today to a closed pool only 3 days after it opened. We have a garbage fee which is funny because the trash and recycle dumpsters right outside our door are overfilling and spilling all over the ground and parking lot. This probably explains why our neighbors have cockroaches. A pool table was advertised but we have not seen one. There was also some nice outdoor furniture around the fire pit but it disappeared about a week after we moved in. The dog park is very spacious so we enjoy this aspect. I hope that they will start fixing the fences because my dogs are sneaky and the wooden fences are covered with gaps.

I have not officially moved in yet, but I'll definitely update once I do in a few days. First, Christa originally answered the phone when I called to see if I needed to make an appt to view apts. No appt was necessary and she immediately asked me what I was looking for, when I wanted to move in, checked her availability against that info, and told me to come right in to view the apartment. Second, I got to view the actual unit, not just a bummy model unit. I also took a drive around the complex before going into the leasing office (the gate was open for the car before me) and noticed how clean the looked from a glance. No overflowing dumpsters, no trash or poop everywhere, and even the residential patios looked nicely kept. Third, Randy L led me on the tour of the apts. He was by far, one of the coolest people I've ever met in a leasing office. He made great conversation on the way to view the unit, answered all of my questions, and was extremely helpful. I'd refer someone to view apts on his services alone. Fourth, as before mentioned, I viewed the unit I'll be leasing, so it was already clean (vacuum lines still on the carpet, although it'd been shown that day already). I've had horrible experiences with roaches and didn't see a thing that made me worry. The entire apartment was spotless and made me feel really positive. Finally, the grounds are gorgeous and well kept. The dog park is fenced and residents only, and CLEAN. The pool is clean, even though it's like 30 degrees on a Thursday. I think I'm going to love it. I'll post a follow up review two weeks after I've moved in, but for now, it's definitely a 5 star first impression.
Great apartments to live in. Maintenance and office staff are friendly and professional. The apartment itself is very nice with good quality cabinets, ligth fixtures, etc. The only con I can think of is parking can get pretty tigth sometimes. Other than that no complaints about this place at all.
This complex is very well kept and is in a great location, about 15 minutes from Downtown Austin. The landscape is well maintained, the staff is friendly and helpful. I like that the complex is kind of tucked away, hidden, in an otherwise busy part of the city. Rent is average to below average compared to other communities in the area. Pool, workout facility are great and even has a playscape for children. The only things I would improve at this community is change the workout facility hours to 24 hrs, and maybe extend the office hours a little bit more. But overall, a very satisfied Tenant.
To start, the staff is friendly and legit. They remembered my name the second time walking in and are always willing to help if needed. The building is newer than most and has great energy efficent appliances that help cut cost of utility bills. Front loader washer and dryer included in the apartment so you don't have to worry about shared laundry mat. The neighborhood is quiet and right off of Soco for an easy commute to downtown or Austin attractions. Parking is a hit or miss, but usually not too bad. Overall great place to live!
The apartment complex is very quiet, with the grounds/landscaping always kept up. The management team is very personable, professional, and customer service savvy. Parking after 10 pm on a weekday, will be an endeavor, due to the limited parking spots available in front of your apartment at that time. Maintenance is quick to fix a work order, fortunately while I have rented here for last 3 years, I have not really needed any work on my apartment, and have only put in 3.
this apartment is tucked away from the main South Congress rd making it a nice quiet get away. It's walking distance from the famous Trudy's, and a movie theater. You can have a dinner and movie night without really going anywhere! It's a sweet abode. I recommend adding this to your list of places to visit.
I loved how much the offer as far as community and the apartments seem so modern and are at a great deal. The location is hidden but I love it to feel like a get away to be at a place away from all the commotion.
