Tucked between the rolling hills of northern Mississippi, Oxford is a charming small town brimming with historic character and artistic appeal. Home to the University of Mississippi, also known as Ole Miss, Oxford is also teeming with youthful energy and cultural events.
The Historic Downtown Square has served as the epicenter of Oxford since the city’s incorporation in 1837. Today, the Square boasts a bevy of eclectic shops and boutiques, art galleries, independent bookstores, nightlife spots, chef-driven restaurants, and downhome eateries.
Among many notable residents past and present is the celebrated author William Faulkner, whose legacy is commemorated through the preservation of numerous relevant homes, his gravesite, and a bronze statue in front of City Hall. Oxford is also home to a thriving arts scene, with a variety of museums, galleries, and creative communities in town.

Property Ratings at Revel
DLP Oxford (now Revel) is the worst apartment complex in Oxford. Ever since their ownership change, I have had nothing but trouble with these people. My A/C has been out for the entire month of June, despite multiple past work orders telling me my AC was working. It isn’t. The units can get up to 80°F, and since the windows aren’t sealed properly, flies will infest your unit. The hallways have not been cleaned properly in months and the trash smell is horrid. NEVER LEASE THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN!!

My daughter has been living there for over a year and the applicance ar always broken, A/C has been out several times and she just had her car towed because the temporary sticker was partially hidden by the tinted glass. Instead of a warning, they towed her car. This place sucks....its completely unsafe and run down!!
Maintenance has definitely improved since the management changed. My ac broke, and within 4 hours of calling it in, I was set up with a temporary ac unit while the issue is fixed. Friendly staff, and peaceful area for the most part. One star off for paper thin walls.
I have lived here for less than one year and have had a black mold problem since November. It is now April and there is still no resolution. The management has stated that there was a leak on the roof and it was just brought to there attention. I was told that I can stay in the model unit but I discovered bed bugs in both rooms. I have visited the office every couple of weeks to complain about the problem and submitted numerous work orders. I have had to visit the hospital due to mold inhalation and I had to seek an attorney to break my lease and seek damages. The front desk people are awesome but the upper-management does not care about their tenants. I will now be contacting the university with the matter and advising them not to promote this housing complex any longer.
Horrible place to live! The apartments are nice. They say they clean but like most apartments they don’t. The hidden fees are ridiculous! They say that electricity is included but it’s really not. You only have a $35 allotment per person. If you’re are late on your rent late fees accrue daily! No exceptions! The management is trash. They don’t help you and if you want something fixed it takes forever for them to fix. They do inspections unannounced so there’s no privacy. If you want an upscale apartment and can pay your 12 months rent up front then go for it. If not I highly recommend you live somewhere else. It’s a reason why this place always has apartments available.

I lived here for a year, picked it because it seemed like the best option. I was wrong. Serious cockroach problem, I got the apartment sprayed monthly and had traps and still had problems. Utilities are not included like they say, you will always have an extra utility bill, I left the AC on 80 and everything unplugged and off over the summer and they tried to charge me. They replaced the bathroom floor without telling me anyone would be in the apartment and the workers left my AC on 58 and tried to charge me for that when I left the AC on 80. Multiple times they sent me "completed" emails for maintenance requests they never fixed. I would not suggest the complex to friends.
I have been live in Lafayette place for 3 years. This apartment is not safety place to live. There is no security camera, so somebody hit your car and run off is normally thing. It happened to me twice last year. Maintaineness guy are very ruled and disgusting. He use my cooking pot to hold dirty water from kitchen. Also, the management will enter your unit anytime without notice! Last week they put floor replacement in my apartment, when I ask the manager when are they going to replace those floors. The manager said she don't know. And I told her that I am worried my valuable stuff at my unit during people replacing floor. She means that I should bring all stuff with me. The manager always say "I don't know". You are not doing your job if you don't know! To be honest, i hate this management and apartment. They make me feel uncomfortable all times. It is time to move out now!
I lived at Lafayette Place for the past two years. Good value, excellent management team and convenient to campus. Megan
This is a horrible place to live! I lived there less than a year and I hated every minute of it and I could not move out fast enough. To start off, my apartment was not fully cleaned when I moved in, in September; cobwebs in the corners, dust everywhere, cockroach traps still out, and the bathroom looked horrible. There are only a very few staff members who are nice, but none of them care about you or their job, that I came into contact with. Expect zero help from them at any point once you sign your lease and you have moved in. You will get overage fees every single month, even in the months where you was laundry once a week, take a daily shower, and run a fan all day. And God forbid if something breaks because they will charge you an outrageous amount for a simple task. This place is nasty everywhere and is full of pot smoke, thugs, drug dealers, and slobs. DO NOT LIVE HERE!
It's a great place to stay!!! Being patient and respectful takes you a long way with this staff!
My daughter is away from home and Ms Sara And her crew is excellent. Not only will you get a good place to live but you will have Ms Sara there to watch over your child it's like home away from home.
I'm moving there in May 2 and when I did all my applications and fees they were excellent on explaining things that I really didn't understand.. The campus is great and it is very close to my job.. I absolutely think I'm gone love it there
Lived here for a little less than a year. Rent is high but cheaper than other places in the area. All utilities are included, but with the electric bill, you get an allowance but anything over, the renter is responsible for. The location is great. Here's the rest. I was told that the apartment that I would be renting would have a balcony; it does not. I was told that the electricity was "basically covered", that I would "just about never have a overage bill, unless I kept my AC on full blast and had all my lights on"; I have had a bill 10 of the 11 months I have been here, sometimes up to $75 worth. The included internet is a terrible service that is extremely weak and admitted by the providing company "not sufficent for the amount of people that live here". The service frequently shuts down and is not available. There are no plans to improve the system, despite all parties being aware of its downfalls. When I first moved in my apartment was dirty and in some spots filthy. I reported it to the manager, expecting it to be cleaned on multiple occasions, but nothing was done. I mention this, cause there is extensive language in the rental contract about having things cleaned and the carpet steamed, leaving the renter responsible for all costs. The facility overall was clean for the first 6 months or so, but my hallway/building is disgusting and even with it reported, nothing has been done. One of the tenants puked all over the hallway and left it. It has been there for about two months now. Tenants leave there trash in the hallways and the trash juices spill out. It's everywhere. The staff has been turned over three times since I moved in so maybe things will get better, but let's be honest. More disappointed than I ever expected to be. Definitely not as the staff explained and advertised. I was lied to so the complex could get one more sale.
I lived in a one bedroom at Lafayette Place for a year on the ground level. I chose the apartment because I could bring my pet for a fee, it was also close to the University of Mississippi, it has covered parking for a fee and it was on the bus line, so great public transportation. The apartments were relatively new and provided you with furniture and all appliances including laundry. The apartment has a great pool , host a lot of tenant events and have a media room. However, there are some drawbacks to the apartment. The first, the walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbors daily interactions. Secondly, there are adjoining doors that have access to your neighbor apartment which is weird. The dog park is small and many tenants have there pets off the leash. One bedrooms are a little expensive and the utilities can be high so be mindful of your usage . Overall, the apartment itself is nice,
