Poway, dubbed as “The City in the Country,” sits 25 miles to the northeast of San Diego, making it just close enough to enjoy the amenities of living in a large metropolitan area, while being far enough away for residents to keep their distance when they want to.
Residents of Poway enjoy their outdoor space, like, a lot. A popular hiking destination spot is to the Potato Chip Rock, a very thin boulder overlooking the picturesque Blue Sky Canyon. Lake Poway is another area for outdoor recreation. Locals make their way to the lake to enjoy boating, swimming, and fishing.
Old Poway Park is a family-friendly attraction. Residents enjoy a ride around the park on the Poway-Midland Railroad. They also like to tour the town’s Heritage Museum and pick up produce at the community farmer’s market. Living here, you’re close to Interstate 15 and great local shops and restaurants.

Property Ratings at RH Carriage Pines
I've had a terrible experience while living in this complex. The management does not live anywhere near Poway, they rarely come out to check on the actual property. Maintenance/Support requests take a very long time to complete, if they get addressed at all. This is a very small complex, only 11 units. My main issue with this complex are with the noise levels. A few units in particular let their children play in the middle of the building like it's a playground. I'm talking basketballs, yelling/screaming, scooters/bikes, and etc. The parents are rarely outside to supervise any of the children. Mind you, there is a community center within walking distance of this complex. They leave their doors open, television/music going full blast, and door slamming at all hours of the night. As a tenant you have a right to quiet enjoyment. I've reported these issues with the previous management company, Pacific Shore Management, they have done absolutely nothing about it. I've now reported it to the new management company, Mynd Property Management. This new company said that they can not do anything about the noise outside of quiet hours, this is actually not true. All I can say is that I am very happy that my lease is up soon.
I'm 10 months into my 12 month lease and this is the worst apartment I've ever had. Since I moved in my closet doors have been broken and whenever I call about them I get told 'the new doors are coming in soon'. I submitted a maintenance request about my window screens being too small, they were about an inch short and bugs were getting inside. It took them two months to fix them! It's only 11 units and most the neighbors are cool, but the ones who aren't cool really ruin it for the rest of us. There are two units with single mother types, who have a lot of kids and they just let them play wherever and don't watch them. The kids run up and down the stairs and are extremely loud. So good luck sleeping in on Sunday cause they're up running around at 7. But honestly the worst of it is the people who live next to me. They always have the windows and door open so you can hear everything they say and or are watching on tv. They have huge family parties with like 20-30 people inside their two bedroom apartment. They hang out in front of their apartment which is also my bedroom window, so at 1 AM I get to hear a bunch of drunk people yelling two feet from my bed. I've called several times to complain about these people to my rental manager, who doesn't live on site, but she never responds to me. I've had to call the police and file noise complaints. Whatever you do, find living accommodations somewhere else because this place will drive you insane.
