Stretched along the Mississippi River, Saint Louis is the second most populous city in Missouri. Regarded as the Gateway to the West, Saint Louis was the starting point of Lewis and Clark’s infamous expedition. Saint Louis’ most iconic landmark, the Gateway Arch, is a memorial celebrating the nation’s westward expansion.
In addition to its rich history, Saint Louis offers residents access to exceptional amenities and culture. An apartment in Saint Louis affords you the opportunity to climb sculptures composed of reclaimed building materials at the one-of-a-kind City Museum, or watch the Cardinals play ball at Busch Stadium.
Hit the town and catch a performance at the Fabulous Fox, or indulge in some retail therapy at the massive Saint Louis Outlet Mall. There’s incredible architecture to admire in the Washington Avenue Historic District, or you could experience the flora and fauna on display at the Saint Louis Zoo and Missouri Botanical Garden.

Property Ratings at Richwood Terrace Apartments
This apartment complex is a great fit for anyone looking for an affordably priced place to live. Management is professional and responsive -- my repair requests were all fixed within the week. Pros: - good management - safe area: no police calls or burglaries that I can remember in three years living there. Maplewood is a safe area. - conveniently located to blue line metro (5 min walk), multiple grocery stores, and downtown Maplewood. - well-insulated: This may not be the same for top-floor units, but for middle and ground-floor units, electric bills rarely top $50 and can be below $20 in spring/fall. The window units can be noisy but they work just fine for climate control in the relatively small units. Cons: - thin walls: could hear neighbor's TV through the wall even when it played at normal volume. - outdated appliances: I didn't live in a "renovated" unit, so this may not be an issue for those units, but the stove/oven was old, small, and consistently overheated. You learn to set the temperature lower than what you actually need. - issues with hot water: sometimes the shower would turn ice cold. I think this was a problem with my particular unit rather than a building-wide issue. As for concerns raised in other reviews: - bug infestation: Mostly disagree; management has pest control spray every few months. I found one dead cockroach when I moved in and didn't see another over the next three years of living in ground floor and second-floor units. There were a few spiders but no more than normal. - Cigarette smell: Mostly agree; it's faint and you get used to it quickly. Depends on your own sensitivity and likely varies by unit. - Unfriendly management/neighbors: Disagree. Great management. Neighbors were polite and mostly kept to themselves. - Not enough parking: Disagree. I sometimes had to park around the building from my unit, but there were always extra spots somewhere in the lot.
Apartments are very small, walls are paper thin. entire building is infested with giant cockroaches and spiders. when you tell management about the problem they tell you that the bugs are coming up “through the drain” which is not true. the bugs crawl from underneath the floorboards from other apartments. the complex smells of cat pee and cigarette smoke all the time. there aren’t enough parking spots on the lot and even if you do park there your car might be hit or broken into. Neighbors are rude, suspicious people roaming the parking lot at all times of the day. They have cameras at the leasing office but of course all of the criminal activity happens on the parking lot. Oh and dont expect to take a hot shower on the weekend cause theres hardly ever any hot water. please beware that the “renovated” apartments aren’t actually renovated, they have old appliances and hardwood flooring. not to mention they raised the rent so the amount they are asking for now is not worth it, please look elsewhere i regret moving here, please listen & do not waste your time
Rodemyer Christel Inc is amazing when renting to tenants. Their people that they leave in charge of the office/property is amazing. They work with you when it comes to your finances and the location is great.
I love it here, management was very nice & welcoming. Neighbors are nice & quiet. & the location is AWESOME!!!!!!! I love it
