Lyndhurst is a suburban township stretching between the Hudson River and the Hackensack River, just minutes due west of Manhattan. The easy access to New York City has made Lyndhurst a popular option for commuters, with NJ Transit rail service to Penn Station only being about a thirty-minute ride. The community’s rental market includes a broad variety of apartments, condos, and single-family homes, including numerous units in beautifully-preserved historic brick buildings.
Shops and restaurants are spread throughout the neighborhoods, making it easy to do some shopping or grab a bite to eat without having to drive. One of the townships’ most famous landmarks is the Lyndhurst Pastry Shop, known throughout the region as one of the best places to find traditional Italian cakes and pastries.

Property Ratings at Ridge Apartments
Two years ago, I moved into my fiance's apartment and hated it. Everything screamed, "a male lives here!" We have hardwood floors and walls made of cement, so we can't really hang anything. We are on the first floor of a busy street, and can hear everything that happens outside. There are no outlets in the bathroom and the kitchen has very little space. There is a list of things that I hate about this apartment. Just graduating college, our one bedroom apartment is filled with mismatched furniture and a big, ugly red couch. But it's the time spent on the couch that makes this apartment home. It's Sunday crosswords, TV dates, and major cuddle sessions that fill my heart with joy, not where we do it. It's surprising each other with home cooked meals made in our tiny kitchen and eating on the coffee table, because there is no space for a kitchen table. It's where we decided to bring a dog into our lives, shortly followed by our beautiful daughter. While we save for our wedding and our future, we decided to stay for another year. Sure, our daughter's crib is in the living room, but this apartment is filled with memories, laughter, and the greatest amount of love you can imagine. That is what makes an apartment a home.
If you commute into NYC by public transportation this is the perfect place to live. The NY bound bus stop is literally one block away and there are two NJ Transit train stations within the township itself; only about a 20 -30 minute ride into the city. If driving is more of your preference, there are also several major highways close-by. Now, being that this building is so close to major highways and is located on the main road that runs through the town, noise from passing vehicles is sometimes an issue. In regards to the building itself; it is an older building so some of the amenities are outdated, the living quarters are a little on the small side including closet space, and parking can be a pain at times. On the other hand, there is a washer/dryer on site, some utilities are included in the rent, and the other tenants are respectful. Nonetheless, if you want a place that is affordable, provides the bare necessities, and convenient to everything then your humble abode awaits.
