I was visiting for a week and stayed over at my sister in laws dorm, everyone was going on about how the entire buildings has roach problems, drains contently backing up, some tenants letting their dogs pee and poop all over the apartments, paper thin walls and lack of any assistance what so ever.
I have really enjoyed living at The Ridge at North Texas. It’s a fantastic place with great amenities and a welcoming community. The location is ideal, and the atmosphere is really peaceful and well-maintained. My only concern is the management response to maintenance which can be really slow. But overall, it’s been a great experience and I would highly recommend it to any student looking for a place to live in the area.

I love the apartment and services, plus the rent is relatively better than surrounding apartments, a good deal for students, especially when there is a bus stop just in front of the building.

The Ridge apartment in North Texas provides an exceptional accommodation experience enriched with diversity and inclusion. As an international student, I have felt so much at home, and the sense of community here is commendable. I will recommend Ridge to anyone planning a good stay at the University of North Texas.

Terrible Experience - Not Worth the Rent I've lived in this apartment complex for several months, and it's been nothing short of a nightmare. The rent is outrageously high for what you get—definitely not worth it. The management is utterly unresponsive, and maintenance requests are handled at a snail's pace, if at all. I've had issues that took months to address, and some are still unresolved. To make matters worse, they occasionally shut off the water supply without any notice. Imagine coming home after a long day only to find you can't even take a shower. The amenities they advertise are a joke—half of them don't work, and the rest are poorly maintained. Overall, this place is overpriced, poorly managed, and lacks even basic amenities. I regret moving in here and strongly advise others to look elsewhere.
Everything is nice, however when we first moved in a lot of thing was not working like the water, it was leaks, etc. It did get better over time.
Amazing place to stay at! Amazing amenities and facilities! The front desk staff are very informative and supportive! I love this place! I would suggest everyone to stay at this affordable place.

Maintenance is a bit slow and my a/c sucks in my room, also internet goes out sometimes. Other than that it’s not too bad def what I paid for

The staffing is super helpful and kind. The only reason I give 4 is because it can take awhile to get a maintenance job done, but with a big complex I completely understand. Really love this place

The Ridge is a good place for college students to live because it is budget-friendly. I am having problems with receiving a refund back in August, but other than their financial managers, I enjoy living there.
I think the Ridge is a well ran and professional community, kudos to the leasing office for getting the job done! They make the community well worth living in and I’m grateful to be apart of it

my room is 10 times colder than my roomates and i’m freezing constantly. I have been a resident for 2 years and my utilities bill has never been over $30 until 2 months ago. last month it was $90. that’s crazy honestly i will not be renewing
Nice amenities and love that it's by so many stores and restaurants, but the apartments have a lot of maintenance issues and needs to be renovated as the prices go up.

I like this community and its location. Its closely located to grocery stores, gas stations, medical centres. I liked the amenities of the community like the pool and the gym which I use regularly. The community is not noisy and has this peaceful aspect to it.

It's getting better little by little we finally have access to the clubhouse after the office is closed for the printer and it's a bit safer with the gateway app for the gym so we don't have random people in there.
It’s the cheapest apartment complex around, so you get what you pay for. It has good qualities but then again there’s always something wrong.
There have been a long management changes since I have been here and with the last management my ac dryer and garbage disposal was out for an entire month and I didn’t receive much of any remedy for that month. I usually didn’t have any problems with the complex the maintenance is usually quick and friendly. I will say that previously I did see homeless people in the dumpsters which can be a bit scary at night time. One thing that does still bother me is that when I moved I. I was promised renovations and then when those weren’t done they said I would receive a discount on rent. Fast forward no renovations are done and I am paying almost 200 dollars more in rent than I was paying last year with none of the improvements that I was promised. I can tell that new maintenance is trying but I still wish that some of the initial promises were kept.
The ridge at north texas has been an ok experience for me. Management is decent and nice when you talk to them and they genuinely try to fox the problem in a timely manner.

I had the pleasure of staying at The Ridge, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in every way. From the warm welcome at reception to the exceptional facilities, every aspect of my stay was truly impressive. What struck me most, however, was the property's commitment to an eco-friendly environment. It's clear that sustainability is a top priority here, and that really resonated with me. Overall, I feel grateful to have had the opportunity to experience life at The Ridge. It's a truly special place that I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay.

I like the room size, rent is nice as it’s my first apartment, but sometimes maintenance takes a while. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it.

I never had any issues with bugs, and it's a really nice area everything is pretty convenient to get to. They are pretty good at coming and fixing things when they are broken.
Property Manager at Ridge at North Texas- Student, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate you recognizing the convenient location and the responsiveness of our maintenance team. We strive to provide a comfortable living experience for all residents.
The office is unreachable by phone and the apartments are definitely not luxury. My apartment has water stains, terrible paint jobs, and loose outlets. However, the amenities are good and the community is a good distance from everything in Denton.
I’ve had a mixed experience living at Ridge at North Texas. I encountered an issue with mold in my unit. Fortunately, the management team took action and relocated me to a new apartment. While the apartments themselves are decent, it’s clear that you get what you pay for. The complex offers affordable rates, but the amenities and unit quality reflect that.
It hasn’t been as bad as I thought it was going to be and maintenance has come faster than I thought however when moving in the apartment was not cleaned well, my roommates have had a lot more problems than me in regards to ac and plumbing, our fridge is leaking and causing damage, and some of our appliance aren’t usable or only work half way.
Move in experience was terrible they didn’t give me the right key and after cleaning and settling in they moved me to an entirely different apartment
as a first time renter this is the best experience I could’ve asked for everybody has been so helpful when I have struggled was finding out information and the maintenance has been really useful on fixing things effectively although the one issue I would have to say is it’s an old building so it’s gonna be things wrong that occasionally old pipes with some leaks couple holes maybe a lightbulb that needs adjusting an oriental express will still not stop bugging lol

A pretty good community with maintenance that is on top of requests. Some maintenence don't do a fully good job however and I've heard of them complaining about not doing a job that should have been done before we moved in. The front office people are very sweet and unfortunately understaffed. But they are very good at getting my packages in the system on time.

Its been great so far! The only issue I woulf say is would have is that sometimes the doors would start to not close at times and you need a lot of force to close it and open it.

Thanks for the positive feedback! We're glad you're enjoying your time at The Ridge at North Texas. We appreciate you bringing the door issue to our attention. We will look into this matter further and ensure that it's addressed promptly.
I feel that being a resident in this community does have an impact on me and loving on my own in a great way. Having the power go out and the smoke alarm go off every time we open the oven is not a great reason to live here though. The people are really nice, I just wish that the maintenance crew would be faster and more effective.
The price matches with the appearance, you pay what you get for, and honestly everything has been good other than the office takes forever to pick up and the road to the gate is horrible.
I really enjoy the improvements that the ridge is taking but there is room to grow as a community and grow as a residence hall. The ridge has so much to offer and for one of the cheapest amounts so I really do appreciate you guys for taking the steps but we can try a little harder.
I really love it here at the Ridge, it has been amazing living here and the staff are so nice and understanding. Even during a complete revamp of all of the staff during the company change they were able to get things done. I love the new staff here!

Appliances tend to malfunction sense I moved in . “Back utility’s “ are confusing as well to not charge us utilities but then to just “add” it on to our future payments is stressful when whenever I had first signed my lease it was established it wouldn’t exceed 50 dollars
Very cozy experience with a decent community. I appreciate the speedy and efficient help or response from the apartment management teams and maintenance.

My experience here has been okay. There seems to be a lack of communication and many misunderstanding's among the inhabitants in my unit. On management it has been pretty okay. I do wish they would have explained the whole submitting online better because sometimes they take a bit or their isn’t a certainty of whether how long something will take or whether an issue will be handled. However much of the issues have been taken care of. Apart from that there isn’t anything that comes to mind.
Good apartments cheap you get what you pay for, few maintenance issues but they try their best to get them resolved as quickly as possible. Community events make it fun being here

Is a good place to live just has a lot of maintenance issues. They really just need to fix all the buildings. We have maintenance fix things and they do but then something else needs fixed or the same thing they fixed broke again. Really just need to replace things instead of fixing them.
The apartment itself is great, the amenities (other than the dog park which is just a fenced in grass land with dead grass and tree stumps everywhere) is good too. It is incredibly annoying the lack of bus route options, though. Having to make sure that you are home from UNT at 7:30 at the LATEST because the last bus departs around that time from the campus.
Maintenance is slow, there’s a bug issue, and the gym equipment is usually broken. But the rent is cheap and the staff is nice. So not a bad place to live for the price.
Excellent for student accomodation.Friendly staff and good neighborhood.Pet friendly and reasonable rent. Its a great place for students to live.

Besides the move in process everything has been good. Maintenance is good. Things break every so often, half the stuff in the gym is broken, and the parking that isn’t covered is extremely limited. You definitely can’t beat the rent prices though.
I really enjoy living here and i really like the extra things that the ridge does for us to live comfortably, i think people should love here
