Property Ratings at Ridge on Charleston
Management sucks, poor communication skills. They have roaches! They charge a $2 pest control fee on your rent but you have to go and request it. They don’t have security, they let homeless roam around, digging in the trash cans and leave the trash on the ground. The cops and ambulance are always there. There is a laundry facility on site but half of the washers don’t work properly. Pool was closed all summer. Would not recommend moving here. I will not be renewing my lease. The old management team was way better !

Very quick response. The same day that the request was submitted. Never had this type of service in all of my years living in CA.
1) Roaches!!! 2) Crime!!! 3) Mandatory cable fee (no internet, no option to bundle later) 4) As of Feb 2019 NO LAUNDRY, NO GYM, NO JACUZZI (construction with no scheduled end date) 5) Screaming unsupervised children everywhere. 6) Shady people everywhere. 7) Old circuit breakers (may catch fire) 8) Faulty smoke alarms 9) TOILETS (will only flush pee. No poo. No toilet paper. When you ask for repair the same dude with a snake shows up, that's it. Not good. Do not live here.
I moved in here last month and thiese are the issues I've had thus far... Property was stolen from my apartment by a resident I mistook as a friend, the same resident continues to harass me but nothing can be done, every Friday and Saturday nearby residents blast rap music from around 11pm to 1 or 2am and the lyrics are always explicit. Everyday I see several children ranging from around 4 years old to maybe 12 running around the pool and hot tub unsupervised. The younger kids are always in the hot tub when I am and when they aren't falling on me or over me from running up behind me without me knowing it and trying to jump over me, they all bunch up next to me when there's a whole hot tub to use and it makes me uncomfortable. I never see their parents anywhere. As for thhhe apartment itself, when I moved in everything was clean but the living room had a light switch but no light outlet on the ceiling, I have to use the kitchen light as my only light. In the bathroom instead of a normal light bulb in the fixture it was a black light bulb. This place just has way too much wrong with it due to lazy work. I mean every day for the past 3 weeks the pool, which is supposed to open at 10am hasn't opened until 2 or 3 because they claim to be cleaning it even though the past few days the pool has gotten so visibly nasty with leaves, dirt and other gunk to the point where it should be closed and property cleaned. That has to be a health risk right? Beware this place!
I have been living here on our 1 year lease, Do Not Move Here... You have been warned. Yes its cheap but for a reason. The managers don't do anything about noisy neighbors, they play music from 7PM to 8AM in the morning and security shows up but nothing is done, I'm really considering breaking the lease because of this. Ive send multiple emails about this to corp. and the on property managers but nothing is done.
There is so much violence and overwhelming roach/bed bug infestations, paying over 500$ as of this June for a studio that is so claustrophobic, don't expect to cook home made meals with like 2 feet of counter space. Laundry room has bed bugs and one of the doors are broken, you over pay for everything and anything they can slap a dollar sign on. They don't care about your financial/living situation they care about how much $$$ you're putting in their wallets at the end of the day.
They people in the office are very rude and disrespectful.....like they said in their comments they do raise money on everything...your over charged for everything and I also had mold in my unit it started effecting my health and made me lose my job because I was in and out of the hospital because of this problem my dog also started to get suck to as well, I tried to get them to fix the problem and the never did I signed a 6 month lease and had to deal with that.so please be careful what your getting your self in....and the Wi-Fi ?? suck's over there its like you don't even have Wi-Fi because the signal ?? is horrible..
I just went there to see about an one bedroom apartment in 07/2015 ADD ON Mandatory renters insurance, and trash, Outrageous fees, constantly RENT raises in prices I ask about how many time in raise in rent and I think she said 3 time in one year, the rent would had started out at 424 and after everything was said and Dane the rent would had been $507.00 I look at her like what are you crazy do you think my head is turning around and around it was like they put a gun that my head and said my way or the highway, go only if you want sawed with DO NOT GO to OASIS RIDGE YOU WILL BE ASKING FOR IT.
They lure you in with the cheap rent prices and then throw the mandatory over priced cable (hole in the wall, not even a box) they charge you like $40-45 for said cable. Mandatory renters insurance, water(aka you will more often than not pay more then you used ) and trash is also on the bill. Outrageous late fees ($95 if not paid by end of the 3rd and $5 a day) the constantly raises prices too fast. To keep my current lease terms my rent would go up $30. My base rent is the $385 and I end up paying close to $500 when all is said and done. Stay away from this dump.
