Property Ratings at Ridgeview Apartments
This apartment complex has a rat problem in the winter time, and they do nothing. They get in through the dryer vent.
We lived here for 6 years. The last two apartment managers had been awful! Trying to sneak in charges and just plain mean!! Not to mention the maintenance men entering my apartment without my permission! We moved here first because background check were required but the last two managers took them away and we had awful neighbors sense then. Smells of marijuana run rampant and comes through the walls. They did nothing to help. I suggest looking for nicer family apartments.
We moved here in May 2017. It has been a great experience since the beginning. Everyone we have been in contact with from the office to the maintenance department have been very friendly and professional. We would recommend this community to anyone looking for a new place to live. We plan on staying for a long time to come.

Thank you for your review. I appreciate you taking the time to give us feedback and I’m glad that you have had a great experience living here. I will share your kind words with the rest of the team. Sincerely, Ashley Vetter | Property Manager Ridgeview Apartments
Paid my rent on time every month never had complaints nor did I have complaints filed against me. Loved staying there. When it was time to move I was charged over 1100 dollars, I clearly cleaned my apartment from head to toe even brought people in to make sure it was spotless, no chipped paint or holes in the wall or damaged carpet. It's really unprofessional amd not a great way to treat a valedictorian resident. I was rushed out because they had already leased the aprtmentd out to someone else.by law u have 10 days to vacate after being told to leave. I left within 4 days of my end date and paid my 50 day amd left 0 damages was still charged 560 because I didn't let them know 60 days ahead I only let them know 30 days ahead, very said and horrible to have to pay for something you didn't deserve or do. Apartments will have normal wear and tear. First apartment I have ever been charged with. I would recommend these aprtments up until it's time to leave and your money is all they want from you

A friend of mine used to live here before she bought her house and recommended it to me. I'm so glad she did! I've enjoyed every part of my time here. I'm an overly thorough person, so during applying and moving in I'm sure I was driving the girls in the office crazy but they were very nice to explain everything to me. I'm getting a house of my own now and I will say that I'll miss it here. I have seen reviews of people saying they didn't get money back or they think they were charged unfairly. I can't say that was the case for them but I can say that I asked the girls questions non-stop, read all of the paperwork provided to me, and I understood everything I would be charged on moving out. The only gripe I have is that I understood all of the move out charges and paperwork because I read it all and asked questions but I didn't understand the water billing/ final bill. The girls in the office did explain it to me, but it seems to me the water bills should only be one month behind at a time like our power bill. Either way, I was very happy here. To sum everything up: Great, safe complex!

After living there for 4 years the mgmt charged us $220 as painting charge for the walls at the time we vacated the apartment. This was not justified as we cleaned, patched and fixed all the holes in the walls. According to the Property manager the walls needs a 2nd cot of paint and that is what the $220 is for. Really? ?

Thanks for sharing your feedback and for your lengthy 4 year residency. I’m sorry we didn’t meet your expectations. Our team does work hard to provide residents with an enjoyable experience and a home they can be proud of. In doing so, we take great care in preparing our homes for new residents. Occasionally, when walls have been heavily damaged beyond reasonable wear and tear, or discolored (by crayons, markers, etc.), it is necessary to seal the walls and/or apply an additional layer of paint as part of this preparation. If you believe you were charged inaccurately for anything at the time of move out, please feel free to contact me directly at 704-883-0901 and set up a time to meet. I would be happy to review the final account statement and inspection photographs with you and if a mistake was made, we will correct it immediately. Best regards, Whitney Thompson Community Manager
We moved back into these apartments in July 2015. We lived in them previously in 07-08 until I moved with the Army. The management between those times has gone completely downhill. We have continuously been lied to. We weren't allowed to see our apartment until the day before we moved in. We weren't told they would be charging us water fees until after we had signed the lease even though they knew before we signed it. I'm not allowed to have my Husky even though there are other dogs in the complex onnthe restricted list. We had to get rid of my cat and yet are still getting charged the pet fee. I have an opportunity for a job in another state yet can't take it because of the termination policy. Come next summer we WILL NOT be renewing our lease.
I had terrible difficulties going out of the complex and getting in. My car got stucked several times. Surroundings in the neighborhood plus highways were clean, except for the complex. I do think there should be a better mantainance regarding this matter. I got stranded at home during several days due to poor or none removal of snow after the storm had passed.
I used to live there back in 2007-2009. I really enjoyed it. I have no negative comments but my one concern and the reason we moved was because the rent got way to high to pay. They raise it like $15 every year or something and after 2 years it was like paying a house payment. But I do miss it. If the rent wasn't so high, I think we would still be living there.
I was pleasantly surprised, I viewed 2 apartments a 1 and a 2 bedroom. They were both very clean and up to date. There was plenty of room and storage with the living room and the master bedrooms being a great size. The grounds are well maintained and quiet. I will definitely be applying for a room here when then time comes
Though I had found a diamond in the ruff of Statesville, but upon move-out they really done me in. Excessive charges to fix things that are not even broken. Decent place to live, but you better leave the apartment in better condition than you left it or they will make you pay BIG TIME!!!
