Property Ratings at Ridgewood Heights Apartments
First of all this place is poorly managed. NP Dodge is just money hungry and will do anything to squeeze it out of you. Charging for blinds, light bulbs, decade old carpet. It’s ridiculous. Cars are broken into regularly. There’s even been a couple of garage break ins. There’s also a creeper that walks around randomly for the last decade trying to look into people’s windows. There’s also dumpster divers almost every night. NP Dodge doesn’t care. When confronted they said they had no intention of increasing security. Over the last three years they have raised rent $230 a month for current residents. They also switched their utility company to a company that has a one star rating through the BBB. You don’t want to live in any NP Dodge property but especially not here.
I have lived here for about a year and half. I could not be happier with a home. I love that we have the town home aspect with only one floor and the patio area is quite nice. Most of the neighbors are very friendly and it seems that people lookout for each other. The management and maintenance staff are kind and friendly. My issues are always taken care of swiftly and they go above and beyond for the elderly residents that live there. Over Christmas last year the manager wrapped presents for numerous tenants. I also love my little place, it's a quiet sanctuary. I love that I have my own washer/dryer and don't have to go sit and watch my laundry somewhere else. The place is all electric but I have found that it's pretty easy to keep costs at a reasonable level. They allow you to paint the walls which a lot of places don't do anymore. The size is a little small. I would appreciate a bigger bathroom with more storage. Other than that it's a perfect little place for one person.
I lived here for four years. I would say the first few were fine but since new management took over a year ago the place has been a disaster! The neighbors are loud and there are frequently young children running around unsupervised. There have been multiple times they came in my apartment without notice and then didn't leave a notice advising why they came in. Most recently I discovered a major mold problem in my apartment, I even had to have Douglas County come out and verify the mold because they were so slow about getting anything done. Hopefully they actually fix the problem before they let some other poor person move in there! Management is very bad at communication of any kind and it takes far too long to get anything taken care of. It might help if they were able to keep staff, turnover of office and maintenance staff is ridiculous. However I can't blame them because of the terrible management. If I could give this place zero stars I would.
I scheduled a tour at 10 A.M. on a Saturday morning with a rep from their sister property. I drove there and waited thirty minutes before I finally left. I called during that thirty minutes and was promised 3 times that a representative was coming over from their sister property across the street. Of course no one ever showed and finally after thirty minutes I realized they thought my time was worthless. Truly terrible management and customer service. If this is the way they treat their potential renters I can't imagine how they treat people who are already tied in with a lease.
Ridgewood Heights is not your typical apartment complex. It started out as a retirement community - full of zesty "late-in-lifers" that wanted a quiet haven for them and their pets. With ground-floor town homes measuring 600 square feet and features like washers, dryers, dishwashers, and handicap accessible units, septuagenarians had the perfect spot in the city to call their own. Turns out that retirees aren't the only ones searching for some peace and quiet in an otherwise busy Midwestern metropolis. Ridgewood Heights soon opened its doors to the rest of the Omaha community, and everyone from well-mannered college students to newly married couples soon trickled in. This cat-friendly complex is now more diverse and is still as quiet and peaceful as ever. Not only do the Ridgewood Heights feature great indoor amenities, they also sport lush, beautifully groomed courtyards, complete with fountains and charcoal grills. Whether tenants are looking to have a leisurely picnic on the lawn or a cookout with friends, the courtyards serve as a great gathering place that is accessible to everyone. Since nearly all of the units overlook the courtyards, they also provide great views from the units' large bay windows. Everyone in Omaha knows that you can get to where you need to be within 15 minutes, and this 72nd and Grover locale is no different. Shooting downtown or out to the country is easy with access to I-80, Nebraska's main highway. Great location, friendly staff, and beautiful units make Ridgewood Heights a wonderful place to live.
I love my apartment/town home it's quiet & comfortable I don't even feel like I live in an apartment I have lived here for 3 years and will probably stay here for a few more! ??
"A safe haven - a calming environment." A smaller and hidden complex of single bedroom townhomes/apartments which reflects its tenants. The lush greenery and overlapping trees create a welcoming environment for birds, raccoons, and a visiting turkey and deer during the fall months of the year. Its managing company is gracious and caring and encourages tenant feedback.
This actually feels like a little house. All units are ground level and come with a screen door and a door bell! The grounds are kept gorgeously and the service on even the smallest of needs is pretty much same day. Snow removal and ice protection was immediate each and every time. Staff is so friendly. Very impressed. I love my little home.
Very nice complex in a great part of town. Close to lots!
