Property Ratings at Ridgewood Village
My husband and I lived here a good 5 years and the maintenance was always quick to respond never had any issues with the neighbors Parking is joke in front of our building everything was covered so that means if you want to park anywhere by your apartment it’s 20 dollars a month and there are no signs saying for visitors not to park in your space nor is it enforced so many times I would work nights and someone was in my spot and I can’t do anything but park super far away and listen I get parking in apartments is crazy but I shouldn’t have to pay extra just to be near where I live and for them to do nothing to enforce it is ridiculous I lived there 5 years paid our rent on time every month and had a death in the family and we had to move out I have been waiting on my security deposit check for over 2 months ( which I had to call and even ask about because I herd nothing from them in over a month) from them with no letter explaining what was marked off or why we are receiving what we are When I went to renew my lease last year we signed it no problem and they called me down to initial a page we “missed” no problem then I got to pay my rent and it’s 150 dollars more than the lease we signed said I called to ask about it and they told me the printed the wrong lease out and the total was wrong and that’s what they called me to initial no one called to tell me this or even discus the rent was more so things have definitely got shady Out dated appliances and cabinets for what they charge or renew a lease for We had a handicap neighbor under us who had to ask 4 times for a rail ( that had been broken forever ) to be fixed on these 4 stairs leading to the parking lot from her ground floor (she almost fell a bunch of times because the stairs themselves are falling apart) apartment and she had to ask for handicap parking 3 times because like I said everything was covered and there were no spaces to rent available she is having to walk super far , why should she have to ask that many times ?why isn’t there handicap parking by every building ? It’s insane so beware it’s not all it’s cracked up to be
Lived here over 1yr. Shortly after moving in NO Tennis court. Indoor pool house has been closed almost 7 months now . Which means no use of pool nor hot tub including their out dated exercise room. All of that is due to " exploding pipes " according to the management stuff pool house has black mold, needs new roof and new fan. Yet they are still waiting for corporate to decide which bid for insurance. Management's words whenever asked. My rent was raised was 13% but yet everyone else's rent was raised at different percentages. When I was informed rent being raised it was less than 40 days notice. Near the time I was due to sign another lease . SO I WAS STUCK! POOR MANAGEMENT. Nothing gets fixed in correct time. Trash , dog crap (even though they tore out tennis court for dog park), last day pool was open it was for dogs to swim in !DO NOT RENT HERE !
I was new to St Louis and needed to find a place that was quiet and clean. I found both! The staff was amazing! The current staff is a great team and they took great care to make sure I was taken care of. Thank you Ridgewood Village and to the staff that has helped make this truly feel like a place where I belong. It is a nice property. Traci showed me a beautiful unit with an updated kitchen. It is So close to shopping and restaurants, practically anything you need is close. I have the added feel of safety with the police station right next door. About the staff. Natasha has been all smiles and friendly every time I have been to the office. Traci is the person who took care of me and all the paperwork. She is fantastic and has helped me out with everything I needed. JJ handles the maintenance and has helped me or answered questions about my apartment. I haven't met everyone, but these three have made my time here very pleasurable. I have a long time left on my lease, but I will renew when the time comes. I found my home!
One year after living here this place feels like home. Located conviently near I-70 with lots of shopping nearby. The staff are friendly and the grounds are always well kept. While the units are a bit older they are still in good shape. The only major oversight is that the advertised tennis court has not been repaired to working order.
