Uptown Houston comprises the area east of Interstate 610 between I-10 and I-69, a large swath of the city that blends the relaxed pace of the suburbs with urban glitz and energy. One of the area’s most famous attractions is the stunning Galleria, the largest shopping mall in Texas, which employs thousands in its high-end boutiques. Nearby, a thriving dining and entertainment district supplies the neighborhood with an eclectic variety of off-hours attractions. The sprawling Memorial Park sits right across the highway, and locals love to stroll through the Houston Arboretum and hit the links of the Memorial Park Golf Course.
The local housing market ranges from single-family homes to high-rise condominiums, with many surprisingly affordable apartments in the mix as well; while the section closest to Interstate 610 and the Galleria tends to be more urbanized, most of the neighborhood is suburban in nature.

Property Ratings at Ridley Apartments
I had the unfortunate experience of living at Ridley Apartment Homes, and I can confidently say that it was one of the worst decisions of my life. From the moment I moved in, it became abundantly clear that this place was a complete nightmare. First and foremost, the management at Ridley Apartment Homes is absolutely atrocious. They are unresponsive, unprofessional, and seem to have no interest in actually helping their tenants. Maintenance requests? Good luck with that! I submitted numerous requests for basic repairs, and it took them weeks, sometimes even months, to address the issues. My apartment was constantly in a state of disrepair, and I felt like they just didn't care about my living conditions. The amenities they advertise are a complete joke. The gym has outdated equipment that is rarely maintained. The pool is frequently closed for "maintenance," which conveniently happens every time the weather gets warm. But the absolute worst part of living at Ridley Apartment Homes is the noise. The walls are paper-thin, and I could hear every word, every footstep, and every argument from my neighbors. It felt like I had no privacy whatsoever. And don't even get me started on the constant parties and loud music that went on late into the night. The management did nothing to enforce any kind of noise policy. To top it all off, the rent at Ridley Apartment Homes is exorbitant for what you get. They clearly prioritize profit over the well-being of their tenants, and it's a complete rip-off. In short, if you value your sanity, your peace and quiet, and your hard-earned money, stay far away from Ridley Apartment Homes. This place is a living nightmare, and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.

Management manages this property very poorly. There are 2 people who made sure everything was done properly and in a timely manner, and both people quit last September and that is when the property went down. Maintenance DOES NOT maintain those apartments. The sewer is always backed up there and they have frequent break ins because the gates do not work and anyone can enter. I do not recommend these apartments to my worst enemy
Place is dirty! Trash, dogs poop everywhere. Cockroaches and rats. Noisy cats and unleashed dogs. Management does not care! Gates are always broken. Police comes almost every day because of people who live there. Drugs smell everywhere day and night. Pool is always dirty and closed. Robberies on the parking lot every week. Again management does not care! They care only about money!
The management here is excellent. Facilities are convenient and easy to access. The community is very friendly. I highly recommend. Great place to live.

I am a current tenant. This is worst apartment that I ever Lived. I had multi issues with it. 1. Every where is full of cockroaches. I asked them several times to treat them but they didn’t do any thing and I still have the same problem! 2. Almost every day We Experienced water outage. Every time that I come home water is yellow at first I need to leave it open to see clear water! 3. No hot water at least twice a week! 4. Very noisy environment specially at after noons! 5. Patio is full of dogs waste! Some times outside really smells terrible! 6. Some times staffs enter your apartment with out any prior notice and if they notice you they won’t wait for your permission, for different excuses for example water leakage to downstairs! 7. New management put some parcel pickup locker and you have to pay 45 dollars monthly even if you don’t want to use it! 8. New management changed entrance gate system and if you want to go your apartment or gym you have to pay 50 to buy gate remote control! That’s robbery at daylight! 9. They don’t have any security camera or security guard so if you wake up some day and see your car without whiles Do NoT surprise. They are responsible for nothing! It happened to several neighbors before! 10. You have to pay not only the rent and utilities you have to pay 50 dollars for every remote control for gate and 45 dollars for lockers and similar amounts to pest control that they never do it properly! Thats why I’m giving them One star (I wish I could give Ziro) and going to move to another place!
I was forced into a new lease the day of move in. The apartment I was put into was much poorer quality than the one I was shown. Poor landscaping, the smell of swewer and marijuana, and neighbors being noisy at the pool are the highlights of this complex. I would not recommend moving into The Oxford.

Moved here last month and so far, so good. I haven't noticed a decline in friendliness or promptness since signing my lease. Deb was great; she kept me updated throughout the process and made sure all of my questions were answered prior to move-in. The complex recently transitioned to a new management company and I have been pleasantly surprised by the smoothness of it all. Common areas are very well-kept and the community is extremely quiet. I put in one work order online and it was completed the next day. My apartment was in great condition upon move-in and I haven't found any bugs. Laundry facilities are well-kept and all machines are new, as well as most of the fitness center equipment. The location is fantastic - if you work in the Galleria area, you probably won't even have to get on Westheimer to get to work. Plenty of food and entertainment within walking distance. This complex is definitely the best value in the area and I look forward to staying here.

Welcome to the community! What a pleasant review! We're thrilled to hear you had a smooth move-in, and it's nice to know our transition has been seamless from a resident perspective as well. Your compliment for Deb made her day. Please stop by the office or call to let us know if we can do anything to help you get settled in. Thank you!
THIS IS BY FAR THE FILTHIEST AND MOST TERRIBLE COMPLEX I HAVE EVER LIVED IN, THE PROPERTY MANAGER SHOWED ME THAT APARTMENT AND EVERYTHING LOOKED GREAT, SO I DECIDED TO TAKE IT, AFTER 4 DAYS OF MOVING IN , I STARTED VACCUMING THE CARPET WHEN I DISCOVERED THAT BLACK MOLD LIVES UNDER THE CARPET,AFTER REPORTING IT , NO ACTION TAKEN FROM MANAGEMENT, I DECIDED TO FIGHT IT , SO I GOT VINEGAR BLEACH AND WATER AND STARTED VACCUMING THATS WHEN I WAS VISIOUSLY ATTACKED BY IT , BURNT MY LEGS AND ATE MY CLOTHES AND SHOES, THEN BUNCH OF GREEN FLIES APPEARED AS WELL, ITS LIKE A DEAD BODY WAS THERE,THE MANAGEMENT TOOK ALL MY MONEY AND THEY NEVER GAVE ME A SINGLE DOLLAR BACK
Horrible place. Infested with cockroaches. In the year and a half I lived there, I saw at least 5 cars on cinder blocks, after they had stolen their tires overnight. Had my apt broken into and the office staff took advantage of my situation and kept my deposit and charged me to "replace carpet" although it was in great condition. They were always unavailable after that. Unsafe place and useless staff.. plus fees for everything.
Lived all over town , this community by far is one of the best around. I have no Infestation Issues at all and no complaints. AT the LEasing Office, all the ladies are great. Maintenance is awesome. AT the gym we have new Treadmills and is a very quiet community. You must live here!! You wont Regret it

We are thrilled to hear that you think of us as the best apartment company you have stayed at and we will continue to work hard to keep it that way! We truly value you as a resident and look forward to serving you in the future. -kathy, Bell Reputation team
Management is terrible. Never responds and is always rude. Also, pest control is absolutely terrible. I always see roaches, bugs, and ants everywhere all the time. Don't move here!!
I have never had such so many issues with an apartment complex before. Thus far, I've had nothing but an unprofessional, rude, and misleading experience. I look forward to the day my lease ends. I was scheduled to view and sign my lease the day before move in. However, when I got to the office to do this, the leasing agent had closed over an hour early without any attempt to inform me. Therefore, I did not get to view the unit before signing the lease and moving in. I arrived at open the next day to find this same leasing agent did not have ANY of my papers in order. I turned in all fees/deposits weeks ahead of time, only to find she had not processed any of them. Not one. To top it off, she had not even inspected my unit to make sure everything was okay before move in, so had no idea of the unit's conditions! After over an hour of wasting my time (again), we finally moved in - only to discover the condition of the unit was completely unacceptable. But of course, the office had closed and the agent had left, so I had no choice but to sit it out. The entire unit smelled like cat urine, and the carpets were covered in paint, dirt, and who knows what else. Holes were all over the walls (some larger than a baseball), the bathroom sink could not drain, one of the burners on the stove did not work, the oven could not stay at a constant temperature, water temperature was incredibly inconsistent (scalding hot to freezing cold constantly), and to top it off: THE UNIT ENDED UP BEING INFESTED BY FLEAS! My dog did not have any flea issues at all prior to moving here. Additionally, I moved in December so it was way too cold for fleas to survive outside. Which means the only option left is that the unit itself was already infested. After talking with neighbors, it turns out the tenant prior to me had four cats...which also explains the urine smell. I went to speak with the manager, with only two options: terminate the lease with full refund, or move me to another unit of equal or greater size with no increase in rent. The manager agreed, and I moved into another unit with the same floor plan. How I wish I had taken the other offer and just found a different complex entirely. Although this unit is not infested with fleas, there are still holes all throughout and things break constantly. I've submitted over 30 maintenance requests in less than 8 months...and I'm not picky. I am disgusted by this complex and cannot wait to move out!!
I love everything about my apartment except the fact that there is a serious cockroach infestation due to the fact that its just a really old building.
The apartments were great when we first moved in. The staff at the office were friendly and looked into our problems, but ever since the management changed to Bell Partners, things took a turn for the worse. The staff is rude at the office and if you have any complaints or want things to be fixed, you can pretty much forget about it. The clubhouse wi-fi? has gone off since December 2014 and not been fixed since. The so-called gym has just 2 pieces of equipment working out of 6! The pool lights are off for months now. It just seems that the management is not bothered to take care of things anymore. Don't be fooled by their words and the nice apartment they are going to show you when you visit! They have also started increasing the rent exorbitantly, and that too, they are not willing to negotiate. If you even think of negotiating, they are not going to renew your lease. Keep away and save yourself the trouble!
I moved in July 6th, 2015, the building is almost 40 years old, but it still quite clean and livable with reasonable rent.
