Situated in the heart of the Metroplex roughly 12 miles northeast of Fort Worth, 20 miles northwest of Dallas, and nine miles north of Arlington, Bedford provides a small-town atmosphere just minutes from these major cities, Six Flags Over Texas, the NRH20 Family Water Park, North East Mall, AT&T Stadium, and the DFW International Airport. Bedford is the ideal city for those commuting throughout the Metroplex, with easy access to Highway 183, I-820, and Highway 121.
While apartments in Bedford may seem like a suburban alternative to city living, Bedford isn't a bedroom community -- it is a vibrant city with terrific shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Be sure to check out some of the city's events, such as Bedford Artsfest, a festival featuring artists, musicians, food trucks, and craft beer. The Bedford Blues & BBQ is a fun-filled weekend of live music and great food, held in September.

Property Ratings at Rise Bedford Lake
The apartments are dirty and they are slow to fix issues. The new management has charged more for no changes to the apartments, only new signs they put up, wow. They tow visitors if they don’t register and there’s a max 7 visits per month.
Office staff is amazingly helpful. I call several of them with questions ALL THE TIME and they get right back to me, answer everything I ask, and never seem bothered about it. I’ve lived here for two years and I LOVE IT! Safe and quiet, too.
The office staff are very professional and work hard to get things done!! They don’t act like I am bothering them because something needs to be fixed in my unit!! I have rented at Point Lima Wood since 2016 and this is the first time I am able to make a positive review!! Thanks Michelle you are the best!!
They have great amenities as well as great resident events. The office staff is friendly and professional. It is a great community as this is my 4th time to lease here.
The Manager Misty is very friendly, professional to the point, and I enjoyed meeting her.
I did recommend it to a friend of mine and now she lives here. It's a quiet community, close to a great park, and right off the highway.
Great staff, great location, maintenance was friendly and expedient, best complex i have lived at.
Friendly. Close to arterial highways. Quiet (for the most part). Some loud cars, but that's individual issue, not property mgmt controllable.
I would recommend because these units are nice and my neighbors are nice and friendly
I do like living here and have recomend this place to a few friends.
The responses to any issue, big or small, are amazingly quick.
The maintenance was completed the same day. He was extremely knowledgable and kind. The assistant manager, Amber goes above and beyond to be courteous as well.
I love the location, the price, and the huge advantage of having a washer and dryer in the apartment.
It's a nice and peaceful community. They're isn't a whole bunch of noise late at night and it's close to the park
Amber in the office is wonderful. The apts were cozy and I felt safe.
It's a great community with a beautiful neighborhood. But the extra $300 a year for trash valet is a downside. And the need for a stacked washer dryer that is not provided.
It's a bit expensive considering the size of the floorplan, but the amenities more than make up for it.
The management staff is always courteous and takes care of any issues immediately. Misty is awesome.
Office is very responsive and respectful. Office cares for their residents. Maintenance comes As once they'??re able to to fix what needs to be fix
i have lived in this community for over 15 years and always recommend Point Loma Woods.
I would definitely prefer full sized washer and dryer connections. The staff was friendly, helpful and prompt
I recommend it because they are very well maintained, nice, well distributed and the rental price is good.
Maintenance was great and caused no issues. My girlfriend was expecting to have to wait around all day for them to come but they came right on time and had things done faster than expected.
Misty and Amber are amazing I can not say anything bad about them.
Price, was her/dryer and the proximity to the Boys Ranch.
Incredibly competitive rent, very responsive maintenance and front office staff! They're always willing to go above and beyond to help you out.
Love the quietness of property and the staff is amazing
I've recommended PLW twice to co-workers and both parties visited my apartment loved the floor layout as well as PLW's location, but were "turned off" by the dumpsters not having any front door or fencing to hide the dumpsters. They said it made the property look a little 'trashy'
Not really the fault of the maintenance staff but the outdoor lighting that was installed last year is pretty annoying. I understand it's for safety but it shines directly into our living room at night and has a terrible loud buzzing sound that you can hear from inside.
The value for the amount paid is very good. I would definitely recommend this complex to my friends and family. I love the area and my apartment is so cozy.
I would certainly recommend Point Loma Apts to everyone. The Management always exceed my expectations. A great team.
i have lived in these apartments for 15 years come January 2019. I have not made very many service requests but have always have had satisfactory results. One time I think before the current property managers, I was not given notice and maintenance people entered my apartment and replaced kitchen and bathroom floors and made a mess of my apartment. Again,I think this was before current managers. but this was many years ago. i still recommend this community.
#1504 this is my 14th year, apt #51 5 years. need I say more? love living here.
I would recommend this community for the following reasons: Location, spacious floor plans, reasonable rent, great staff, awesome pools with shade and view, personal safety, the services of the Bedford Police Department, proximity to the Bedford Public Library, and online Resident Portal.
Pricing is affordable, housing is cute, amenities are really good (I've searched and search and finally found a cute complex that offers in-unit washer and dryer!).
yes
The parking situation has gotten so bad since the covered parking spots were installed. It?s almost impossible to find parking in front of or near my apartment
I would recommend this apartment community because of the people. The office staff and other residents were appealing, friendly, and professional. I always felt safe.
For the most part, the community is safe, and when I am home in my apartment, I feel safe and comfortable. It is also very quiet and suits my situation so very well. It is also very convenient for commute to work.
Value, location, boys ranch with in walking distance for dog walks. Pretty quiet, wish the sprinklers didn't flood behind my apartment though.
I have had constant trouble with loud music and marajajana smoking, have called police , nothing gets resolved . I am handicapped and the handicapped spot is so high I can't get down it and my alternative is to walk all the way around to a wheelchair accessible ramp . When I moved in 7 years ago my rent was 490.00 now my rent is 760.00 . Quite a jump .
Everything has been great so far, with only some minor issues that really aren't a big deal. So far this place has just been great.
Staff is attentive to resident needs. Maintenance completes orders quickly. Rent is amazing for What we get here. Love living here so far.
Misty is amazing and very considerate. The maintenance staff is polite and professional. The complex is quiet and has many amenities.
The water heater in my current apartment is awesome and I can't can take the longest, hottest showers. My previous apartment in a different building was a different story. Not sure why they were different. But I am thankful for the hot water now!
Nice community even though it is an older property. I do love the fact that Military /Veterans receive a discount.
Taylor has been amazing. There was an issue with the internet wiring when I first moved in that took some time to be resolved. Other then that I've enjoyed my time here.
very good maintenance and comfortable apartment. If you live on the ground floor you will hear every noise and foot step from the upstairs neighbors.
Great location, very quiet, amazing office staff!
I would recommend because I love the area, the apartments were always quiet and peaceful. The office was not terrible (I've had worse) and the service requests were always managed quickly - with the exception of my refrigerator with the broken shelf. I know that the apartment could not afford to buy me an entirely new fridge (and I did NOT expect that) but I did expect that the shelf would have at least been fixed by the time I moved in.
