Settled in 1636 as a member city of the 13 Colonies, Providence’s impact on U.S. history and now modern-day comforts are much to be appreciated. The cultural arts is widely encouraged and celebrated in the “Creative Capital.” Residents enjoy live theatrical performances at the Tony Award-winning Trinity Repertory Company on Washington Street. The renowned Rhode Island School of Design Museum showcases fine art masterpieces across five buildings. Providence may be a small capital in stature to others, but it sure packs a serious punch with plenty of cool attractions, landmarks, universities and more. College Hill houses two of the most renowned educational institutions in the nation, Brown University and Rhode Island School of Design. Across the Providence River, you’ll discover Johnson & Wales University – Providence Campus.
Providence is also known for its notable dining and shopping scene. Gourmet restaurants and artisan shops dot the city streets all across Providence.

Property Ratings at Rising Sun Mills

Property Manager at Rising Sun Mills, Responded To This Review
We really appreciate your positive feedback. Ensuring our properties are kept clean is one of our top priorities. It's great to learn that you've found our management responsive and effective as well. Thank you for choosing us!
Water leaking Water was leaking through the screw holes in the window. George diagnosed and repaired the problem quickly.
Microwave still looks a bit janky but heats items, door was excellently replaced because property manager super broke that (i.e., during water heater inspection), the ceiling still looks a bit more than I could clean-off so I did want that and the wall near the bedroom repainted but I’ll submit an additional request…
Management is GREAT Management is responsive and always concerned that I’m happy in my apartment. I know they will help me keep it in great shape. I love living here!
Clean envionment The place is well managed good people in the office
All moved in! I moved into Rising Sun Mills over the weekend and absolutely love my new space/home. So far, all is good and love the openness of the apartment and all the sunlight, something that very important to me! Yes, you can hear people above and stuff around you, but it is apartment living and to be expected!
management is great and helpful~ Maintenace fixes issues within timely manner- plenty of parking - park nearby as well
Great Management!! I've lived here since May2024 and Freddie and his team have been great in every way. It's hard to find great management in apartment buildings. This team cares!! They respond quickly nd work on issues to solve them. I'm glad I moved here.
What reviews have said about management seems to be true..called for 3-4 days in a row with no answer. Called and left messages and got no call backs. The apartment I was interested in magically became available. When I finally got through I’m told it’s “off the market” really ? after days of calling. In the time I spent trying to get in touch with someone I probably could’ve applied and not missed out if someone had reached out in a timely manner. Funny that when I was told it’s off the market I then receive return emails telling me it’s off the market. Go figure

Thank you for sharing your experience as a prospective resident with us. We are disappointed to hear that our team did not provide you with the prompt and professional service we pride ourselves on. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please email us at risingsunmills@trinity-pm.com.
Recently moved into the building and can't say enough good things about the place. Finding housing during covid was not easy task but Stephanie made sure I had all the info I need to make my decision. My favorite part of my loft has to be the kitchen. It is brand new and has a gas range which was hard to come by in my search. I also like the lobby which I pass through on the daily. They are always cleaning which is nice with this covid thing. I was hesitant about parking due to previous reviews but have had no problems. The bush is nice but sometimes is a little in the way where we park. The lot is well lit at night. Definitely telling more people about this plac
I currently live at Rising Sun. Rising Sun is in a great location, with easy access to Federal Hill, downtown Providence. Close to the train station and the highways. I've looked around at other complexes in the area, and Rising Sun is definitely a great value. The amenities are great and the complex is well kept. The maintenance staff is extremely quick about solving any issues, and they're very nice and courteous. The ladies in the leasing office are a joy and help make this place even better. I highly recommend Rising Sun as a great place to live.
Moved over from Boston to be closer to my office in downtown Providence. Kara was great to work with, and I have been very comfortable since moving in. Location is convenient to downtown Providence and Federal Hill as well. Would definitely recommend!
I Came across this really quiet and nice complex to live in, I walked into the rental office and the office and the staff were really nice and they really care about their residents. I was so moved by the customer service. I applied right then and there, they have some decent priced apartments. I was surprised at how quickly the application process went. I was approved the same day that I applied and moved in just a few days layer. I am in love with my apartment. The windows are very tall and I get so much light, not mention a nice view.
My application for the home I wanted was reviewed and approved within a few hours of me submitting it. During my time living in the building, maintenance was very quick to get any problem we had fixed. The move out checklist was very simple and affordable to do. The staff is very pleasant to be around.
Recently moved in here. My apartment was clean and nice when i moved in. The floors are really cool and old mill style. The lease is pretty long but the leasing office girls explained everything. I picked this place cause it was close to a bunch of stuff i could walk to (i dont have a car). You can also rent a laundry machine for in your apartment.
The grounds arent safe at all. Other tenants will let anyone into the buildings. There are major bedbug and rat problems. Common areas such as the elevators and hallways are filthy and never cleaned.
Horrible staff, not safe, expensive for what it is, other tenants are loud and discourteous.
Came from another state and was helped by the property manager this year. I had all my stuff moved to a different house in Federal Hill when the owner backed out of the lease at the last minute. She found me and my family a bi-level loft with brand new appliances and was able to get me moved in ASAP. Unlike other management companies I've dealt with, you can tell these folks care about their tenants. They actually pick up the phone lol. The grounds and facilities are kept up really nicely. Maintenance guys are quick. It may take them a couple tries to get the problem solved but I think that's more to do with the building being so old. They take checks and cash for rent payments, but no online portal. Would be easier to have that. Also no bar bell in the gym. That would be better. Overall really cozy place to live. Would recommend.
Rising Sun Mills isn’t perfect, but it’s the closest thing to luxury you’ll find in Providence. The receptionists are very helpful and kind, the maintenance team is prompt. The apartments have beautiful hardwood floors and very tall ceilings. The surrounding area is not the safest but no one causes problems within the rising sun mill parameters. Probably because of the security guard that patrols the area at night and the security cameras outside every building. The apartments are noisy because of the hardwood floors. Noisy apartments are a common thing in the north, get used to it. I used to turn my fan on and the noise would dissipate. If you’re looking to save some money while living well, this spot is great!
Beware of noisy neighbors and management ignoring complaints! Most tenants are either unemployed or are students/artists who have no concept of being quiet at night. Not worth the money at all. The fitness center and common areas, including the elevators, are often filthy and are rarely cleaned. Find a more decent place to live, especially if you work and have to sleep at night!
