Well-known for its shopping, Keystone is home to the Fashion Mall. But that isn't the only reason people are moving to this popular Indy suburb -- it also offers great schools, a variety of restaurants and entertainment venues, and it is close to the highway. Keystone is located near the junction of 86th and Keystone Avenue, a northern suburb of Indianapolis. With the White River flowing along the neighborhood's east side and several lakes in and around the neighborhood, residents of Keystone enjoy outdoor activities like fishing and boating almost as frequently as they enjoy shopping.

Property Ratings at River Crossing
Great staff and location. The view to the lake is amazing. The biggest gym I have ever seen in an apartment complex, two floors and a racquetball court in the gym. Basketball and tennis court. The pool is amazing and constantly the staff is doing activities for the residents. Townhomes can seem a little price, but they include a garage, and the size is amazing. Cant complain, calm area, close to all the places I need to go.
It's true when they say people write reviews when they have a bad experience. I'm going to make it a habit to write reviews for places that give or don't give great experiences. I moved her about 3 months ago: my roommates and I have had many maintenance problems. 1. Our electric bill for a 3 bedroom/2 bath apartment, 1300 square ft has been costing us $250 plus a month. We have never ran our air during the months of September, October, and into November. We are conscious of the appliances. Throughout the day, all 3 of us are usually working or at school. However, the office and maintenance have told us that these bills seem normal according to our living arrangement. I've lived in a 3 bedroom apartment before, all running on electric, but have never had a bill that high. 2. Termites: My roommate and I both discover termite exit holes within our walls. Office was informed. They sent a pest control specialist from Gold Seal to look at our wall. The guy that comes says it is termites, but needs to verify with a Gold Seal Termite specialist. He said he would inform the office; which he did. The Gold seal guy did not come until two/three days later. The Gold Seal guy came to our apartment later in the evening, confirming termites. He informed US that the entire building and our apartment needed to be treated. He would let the office know about the estimated costs. After a few days, I still didn't hear anything back from the office. Called the office about my water heater problem and also asked about termites. The office had no idea what the termite inspector had found because he never followed through with them. The office didn't take it upon themselves to follow through with us or Gold Seal. Still waiting to hear what will be done with this problem. 3. Flood: All within the same time frame, roommates toilet valve broke and flood the apartment. Maintenance guy did come to fix the valve and had someone dry up our carpets that day. However, we had to keep fans running for 36 hours; which jacked up our energy bill even more. My advice, if you look into living here, make sure you ask the appropriate questions and looking into the place thoroughly. We made a mistake not doing this.
I lived in this apartments complex four years, a very satisfying experience. The campus is extremely safe at all times, and break-ins are unheard of –the only IMPD car I saw belonged to one of the tenants. The apartments are bright and many are newly furnished, with brand new appliances and granite countertops. The Leasing Office is extremely prompt and responsive in problem resolution. Those working in the Office are ready to help with any problem you may have –they receive your FedEx parcels or oversize Mail while you are out. The landscape of the grounds is perfectly maintained year round and the freshly fallen snow is plowed immediately. The rents are competitive and affordable. The Gym is opens early and closes late in the day, and the clean pool is a main attraction in the season. There is a mile long jogging path around the lake, very popular for running or walking your dog. Monthly, there are residents group events at area restaurants or bars, which create a sense of community. The location of the Complex is off 86th/82nd Ave which is full of shopping opportunities and places to eat out, and is also conveniently situated off I-465. I recommend this apartments complex ahead of any other place on the North Side. Dan Baron
After just one month of living at River Crossing, my plumbing system totally failed. My toilet would clog, overflow, etc. all the time. I called a plumber to come take a look who basically said that this was a long time coming and all of the parts were outdated. I told the complex this and they refused to pay for any of the new parts or the service fees that I paid the plumber. After I moved out, I realized that I had forgotten to empty out my kitchenware from the dish washer. I called the property and asked if they could please have an employee go in the apartment and remove the items and send them to me along with the postage fees which I would repay, to which they replied "we are not set up to do that kind of thing". So I had to buy all new kitchenware. Additionally, there are no cameras or security at the apartment making it a thief's dream apartment complex. I received countless emails reminding me to lock my car at night due to the reoccurring robberies.
Great location near amenities, grocery store, the mall and freeway entrance. Walking path, pool, workout room are excellent and are great for keeping a healthy lifestyle. Management is friendly, accommodating and goes above and beyond. Highly recommend this place for young professionals and those looking to keep an active lifestyle.
This apartment complex, River Crossing Apartments, is a great first apartment for young professionals who just graduated from college. Many residents are in that age group/life situation which makes it ease to become friends with your neighbors. The lifestyle and pool atmosphere creates an easy transition. It is fair affordable, more so if you have roommates. The apartments are in decent shape if you get one that hasn't been remodeled. The remodeled apartments are very nice. Overall, I am happy living here.
Great location. Close to both malls, and great places to eat either on 86th Street or 96th street. You can hit Chammps with a rock. Monon is right down the road and Broad ripple is close as well. Staff are great as well. The summer pool scene keeps me resigning my lease. Maintenance are nice, and respond quickly to any issues you may have. I would definitely recommend these apartments.
This is the perfect place to live. It is walking distance to the premier shopping area in Indianapolis. I can also walk to restaurants, huge book store, an upscale movie theatre and boutique shops. It has a beautiful lake that most of the apartments overlook. The pool area is one of the most fun places to be on the weekend during summer. The staff is always friendly and responds quickly to any issues that could occur in an apartment. It has easy access to interstates and near other streets that will quickly guide me to downtown Indianapolis for Colts games, Pacers games, and other events at the Indiana Convention Center. There is no better apartment in the whole of Indianapolis, IN. I am walking distance to the premier shopping area in Indianapolis. Also within walking distance, about five to ten minutes tops, are restaurants, (several with outside dinning) upscale movie theatre, botquie shops, sports bar, huge book store. My apartment overlooks a beautiful lake as do most of the apartments. The pool during summer is the most fun place to be on weekends. The apartment size and rent is perfect for me. The staff is always friendly and courteous and respond to any apartment issues quickly. The grounds are always in excellent shape with a good deal of natural beauty. I even watched a robin hatch her eggs in a tree outside my bedroom window. I have video to prove it. I would not want to live in any other place. Libby T, Indianapolis, IN
This apartment seems to be great so far. Office staff is very friendly and also available when needed.
My 800 square-foot home at Keystone Crossing in Indianapolis acted as a perfect first apartment. It was easy to meet new people, the leasing staff and other residents were very friendly. Keystone Crossing has many restaurants within walking distance, as well as the Keystone Fashion Mall. Everyone would hangout at the pool on the weekends, and go to Champs on Wednesdays after work. I loved the gym and running around the one Mile sidewalk around the lake right outside my door. After 6 months you can move to an upgraded apartment with better appliances.
I have nothing but good things to say about River Crossing apartments. The staff and property management is extremely courteous and responsive. I also love that they take pride in keeping their property clean and renovated. River Crossing's location is perfect for any kind of food or activities. The best part might be the pool parties and being able to meet and interact with new people every weekend.
i love the location, set up and atmosphere for our apartment. But of course all of us living in a apartment we always have a huge chunk of our pay check gone from our rent! Therefore this would be great if this opportunity could give me the chance to take that money I would be using for rent to other things in life that I could enjoy!! You only live once! Help a sister out!
Nice apartment complex, has a pool and work out facility, younger residents overall and great location.
River Crossing at Keystone is a gorgeous place. I like to run the trail around the lake. I have a husky mix that is restricted in most apartments, and I actually can have her at River Crossing. There is no weight restriction and only 3 breeds are restricted. The staff is always nice. The monthly resident events are awesome. Let me tell you, they threw the best pool party I have ever been to!!! It is so close to everything: The Fashion Mall, Broad Ripple, and several restaurants. Yet, it is still tucked away. They had me at granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and new cabinets.
if you don't mind the expense it is an excellent place to live. Everyone who lives here and the staff is very friendly. There are all walks of life that live here but the vast majority are young professionals. Fairly quiet during the week and the pool turns into a party spot on the weekends. Convenient location short drive to anything you need. In walking distance to a restaurant/bar with an outdoor patio featuring live music 5 days a week in the summer. Behind the pool sits a lake with a 1.1 mile track around it. Apartment and track are both pet friendly. Would recommend to anyone, especially in the 20-29 age group.
The Apt is in a great location, everything about it was a great experience. I have only been here since June 2013, but the experience I had was positive. The staff from the maintenance guys, to the girls in the office, to the site manager dealt with everything in a very positive and friendly manner. Nothing is perfect and knowing that they definitely do what needs to get done day in and day out. A lot of improvements were made over the summer and snow removal everyday. All with a smile on their face. Highly Recommended!!!!!!
