Dubbed “the Heart of Georgia” due to its central location and Southern hospitality, Macon is approximately 90 minutes south of Atlanta. Recognized for its renowned musical history, Macon is the location where many artists like the Allman Brothers Band and Jason Aldean got their big break. After all, Macon is the city “where soul lives.”
Just like its passion for music, Macon believes in top-notch education. This city is home to a number of college campuses, including Mercer University and Middle Georgia State University. This family-friendly city boasts excellent public schools as well. Residents and visitors alike adore Downtown Macon for its small businesses and historic sites including restaurants, services, and specialty shops like Parish on Cherry, serving up the best gumbo in the city.
The Big House is a major attraction that celebrates the musical career of the Allman Brothers Band, while the Hay House and Cannonball House represent the city’s architectural history.

Property Ratings at River Park Apartments | Apartments Located...

Property Manager at River Park Apartments | Apartments Located..., Responded To This Review
We regret that your experience was less than great. We try our best to provide good service to our residents and address maintenance issues as soon as possible.
My apartment was burglarized twice while away on Thanksgiving holiday. The parking with all the potholes is a safety hazzard for anybody with mobility issues walking on it. Recurring problems with Maintenance in getting any repairs done. Chose not to renew the lease and so glad I left. Gave 1 star because I couldn't leave a zero.
Management Company are basically slumlords. I lived there a few years before buying a house last year. Maintenance personnel had a tendency to do more damage than fix. I had issues with plumbing, dishwasher, and the A/C. Instead of fixing my AC they put a window unit in my master bedroom only for about 2 months. It took two corporate complaints before they fixed it. The older AC unit water damaged the walls which they never fixed. That was 2 years before I moved out and they never replaced the window screen. When the plumbing flooded my apartment they took the existing underpad out but never came back and replaced it. Appliances are dated and very old. They cannot keep office staff for what ever reason and the tenants are the ones that suffer. They don't answer phone calls and take days to respond to emails. I stayed because the rent was at a good amount for a two bedroom. The roads are horrible there. Took years of complaints from are tenants before they made any attempts to fix. The pot holes there were worse than the ones in Atlanta. At one point there was a literal sinkhole in my parking lot they took 7-8 months repair. Like a 2-3 wide sink hole they just roped off with police tape. They made a sorry attempt at repairing the roads last year and the potholes are already back. They are now raising their prices to levels that would compete with vastly nicer options on the Northside of town. Do yourself a favor and avoid these apartments.
We toured and shown a unit was led to believe it was the one moving in to it was clean and had minimal carpet. Upon move in date told that was the model and were to move in one that was filty, gross carpet, broken blinds and dirty appliances. And that there were no other units available. Previous manager was a scam and new manager is a creep. Dont go in office alone if you are a female. Lease is up and definetly moving.
If I could put zero stars I would. It takes forever to fix anything. more empty abandoned apts than anything else. Apt doors are left unlocked so there for some homeless ppl live in them.. unknowing to rent office.Maintenance Is over worked and don't fix things properly. Basically patch up. They tell you they are newly renovated but not... apts have more plumbing and leaking problem than anything.
Maintenance doesn’t fix anything! Staff is unprofessional. They will give anyone a key to come in your apartment w/o notice. Cuts off water w/o notice.
These apartments are ridiculous. It takes them forever to fix anything. When you call maintenance or certain people in the office they at like it’s an inconvenience to them. Last year I had CRAZY problems with mice running through my apartment, mice droppings all over the apartment it doesn’t matter how much you clean how much you spray the insects and rodents never go away. There are pot holes all throughout the driveway and the numbers are missing off the building. So if you are trying to order food or get anything delivered be prepared to have your items misplaced or dropped off at the wrong building. The AC unit goes out every few months. When I touch the wall in my bedroom the electricity goes out. Which I was told Georgia Power would have to come out to fix... that was a month ago, which is a fire hazard. Now I have pieces of the ceiling falling down throughout the apartment. Today 7/10/20 I called the leasing office five times before they even picked up like usual to inform them that the painters came Wednesday to fix the ceiling which they wasn’t able to fix which is fine. But I was told they were going to come back the next day, they asked what time I would be home and I told them. I get home the following day and yet there is wet paint and a blue tarp in the middle of my living room keep in mind I have a toddler running throughout the apartment. I wait another day they still don’t come at the time I tell them, so when I called the leasing office she makes it seems like it’s my fault because I wasn’t home even after telling the painters when I will be available. She goes into telling me they will come after the weekend is over but still doesn’t tell me a time, so how they expect someone to miss work and be home with no time I have no clue. If you have the time and money I suggest you use it to look at any other apartments than these they will only bring stress. Don’t make the same mistake I did, I was nine months pregnant and desperate to find apartment before I went into labor and got stuck with this crap.
These apartments are pest infested. My refrigerator was infested with roaches and all she would give me was sticky pads to put around my refrigerator. Unit is not up to code.Nothing gets repaired, landlord just walks in your apartment without notice and they both are very unprofessional. If I could move out before my lease I would but please reconsider river park apartments.
I have been here since March of 19 and I have got to say this is not the place to live, my apartment is infested with roaches and I'm a pretty clean person because I have a toddler and sont need her getting sick. No matter how many times I bomb or spray they come back. I have been complaining for 2 months about my air not working and they always give me the run around. Management is horrible. The whole apartment complex is horrible that's why I dont even stress on paying rent on time here anymore.
Don't move here you have better options. The manager hates working here and takes too many smoke breaks. My apartment came with roaches and bed bugs. The maintenance staff aren't properly trained in repairs. Everyone has an attitude that works here very sad. The manager talks about everyone even her own boss like a dog. I've never seen a company run a property this way. Never seen anyone that jumps up in residents face and tells them to call corporate. This is the last straw I'm buying a house. These apartments aren't held to a higher standard.
These are older apartments and the management is top notch! If I have a problem, I write it down, take it to the office to Trevia and it's handled! No big deal. Everyone is so friendly. I love the team. I call this my home. Not my apartment, but my home. I am so pleased still after a little over a year of being here. I could not ask for a nicer place to live. This is a community. I feel safe and thought of like family here. I have recommended my community to my friends and they have all seen how well I am after dealing with unreputable other places. If you need a home. Not just an apartment, a home, this is the place to rent it. I have a lower level apartment, one bedroom flat. I have two kitties that share my home with me and being of the skittish type, they are very comfortable here too. A very pet-friendly place.
Apartments are infested with mice, roaches, and bats.My neighbor had bat to try to attack her in her living room! Mice are so bold they climb on top of the stoves, dressers, and tv stands. Unsanitary. the property manager could care less about the safety and health concerns of the tenants. She offered the tenants glue traps (like the ones at the local dollar store) to control their mice problem! If I could give it negative stars I would!
I lived here for almost two years a small percentage of which i was overseas. Keep in mind i did not own any pets or have any children. When i left they said i had damaged the carpet to the point where it had to be replaced and new paint had to be put on walls totaling north of 3k None of this was true!! I even vacuumed the entire place after everything was moved out. the paint was already chipping and pealing due to air pockets and other imperfections in the paint. I refuse to pay this ridiculous bill. Now it is on my credit and will probably interfere with me moving into another apt. I did not know i had to take pictures of a place before i leave but i do now. Also we had to deal with a broken freezer/refrigerator for 3 months when the first one went out, someone came and replaced it... stating that there was to much food inside. Then the second one broke and i literally only had 4 quick single person oven dinners in there and that fridge sat like that for months. Also they will tow your car in a hurry
Do not recommend this complex to nobody that lives in Macon this is a sad place to live nothing get done but they fast to hit you with a late fee
THESE APARTMENTS ARE OLD AND RUN DOWN, TOOK WEEKS TO GET SOMETHING FIXED, MOLD IN BATHROOM JUST AWFUL
Apartments are nice, But they need to keep up with repairs.
It wasn't so bad living here for a year, but definitely not where I wanted to stay. There are two pools, one of which was old and not workable, the other was quite small and basically locked up. No fitness area, and the apartments were very clearly old. My apartment was one of the 'newer' ones and it was clearly old with eh white appliances. If you don't want to spend much money on an apartment and don't care about needing things fixed, you can save a lot living here. if you want maintenance to actually fix problems and have a clean, newer apartment then move on.
