Looked for apartments from Hammond LA to Jackson MS and found River Park Apartments to be the best. The apartment staff (Debbie, Paige, Zach, and Duke) are the most professional We have encountered in this business and they offer very helpful information liberally. They work hard and we appreciate what they do. Although we have not had many problems, when we do they are addressed explicitly (same day) and resolved in a timely manner. We feel River Park Apartments offer a safe and comfortable living experience. We are lifetime renters.
Management is absolutely horrendous. I've heard from current residents that employees of this establishment have warned them about certain members of the management team. When I lived here there were a ton of issues with the place and I was the first to live in the apartment. We had bugs walking under the door because the frame was too big for the door, the swamp behind the apartment complex was an eye sore, the gates worked about 20% of the time, security was non-existent, The walls were thin and I could hear people slamming doors and dogs barking, pizza delivery was forbidden apparently because the manager made us meet them at the front gate (We could've buzzed them into the complex but they never could figure out that feature that was promised to us. Everything about this place was a nightmare. They look nice, but that's all they have going for them. The prices for these apartments are way too high for the location. I honestly think some of these 5 star reviews were either bought or written by the management staff.

I apologize for the bad experience you had living at River Park. As you stated you were the first to live in you newly constructed apartment home. We did have a few construction issues that we have worked through and eliminated. The door sweeps were one of them. We now lower the adjusted door sweeps or if they are not adjustable maintenance replaces them. River Park gates are working more consistently as well. Tangipahoa Creek is a protected wetland area. Wetlands are heavily regulated as to what the landscapers can and cannot do to make the view more appealing. The landscapers cut as close to the banks as possible so the residents can fish in the creek. We have actually had a few residents catch bass from the creek. Also, management has worked with the pizzerias in town to educate their delivery drivers on how to get through the gates and access residents' apartments. I would like to invite you back out again to check out some of the improvements we have made at River Park.
WoW!! too much to say here and it's all good! I just moved in with my son and we have a beautiful large dog. The staff was so friendly and even gave me the info for their on resident dog walker (Amber.. She is just too amazing). We had some trouble getting their and Amber opened up the model to us if needed. Such consideration on the managers behalf. I love that home really feels like home, best place in McComb.
I can't say enough about this complex. River Park is meticulously maintained and is lovely. The managers (Debbie and Paige) are friendly, attentive, helpful and professional at all times. Zach (maintenance) is hardworking, friendly and eager to help when help is needed. This complex is extremely pet friendly which is so important to those of us with fur babies! Do not hesitate to rent at River Park..... you won't be disappointed!
IM A BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL THT MOVED 2 THIS LOCATION SOME TIME AGO. THE PROPERTY ITSELF AS A WHOLE IS NICE, BUT MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE...IF U WANT TO B CHEATED AND ABUSED UNDER THE TABLE, RIVERPARK IS A GOOD FIT FOR YOU! THE MANAGER CARES ABOUT MAKING MONEY N UPCHARGING ANYTHING SHE CAN THINK OF! I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH AN UNFAIR AND CONIVING BUSINESS IN ALL OF MY DAYS OF LIVING! PLEASE..EVEN PROPERTY STAFF IS BEING MISTREATED BY MANAGEMENT! IF U R CONSIDERING MOVING N WHAT SHOULD B "A LUXURY" APARTMENT, THIS IS NOT WHERE U WANT TO MOVE! I WARN YOU, GO THE OTHER WAY! MANAGEMENT IS NOT RIGHT. LIVE IN A HOLE FIRST!
I usually do not write reviews for anything I buy or where I am staying, however I was very saddened to see the comments that were written about River Park Apartments. I understand that some tenants may have had problems when the apartment was being developed, but like any place you live there will always be maintenance problems and things that will happen. I have had a wonderful experience with River Park Apartments from the first time I stepped foot on the property. I was praying that God would lead me to a place that would be safe, and would feel like home...He has provided that for me. I think the most amazing thing about this place is the staff. I talked with a tenant about the apartments and she was renewing her lease because she loved it here and it made me smile because I knew that I was home. If you are reading this then I hope you will consider River Park Apartments. I have not regretted my decision to move here and I don't think you will either...God Bless!
We were making the move from Oklahoma to Mississippi and exhausted from not being able to find anywhere that would allow our fur babies. However after speaking with Debbie and Paige they were able to take care of us in just a few phone calls. Debbie did everything in her power to make it a smooth trip for us and was very flexible with our schedule as far as drive time and appointments. As far as the apartment goes it is absolutely beautiful, we got a 2 bedroom and love it. Walk in to beautiful hardwood floors ( as a mud room shoe area) carpet, beautiful kitchen, washer and dryer included (amazing!!). If you are looking for somewhere to call home this is the place! Location is key as well- we are about 5mins away from stores and restaurants, in a nice secure location. As far as the review down there that states its not secure.. I find that very hard to believe. There is two ways in (both walking and driving) being a resident you get a key pass or a guest you have to be let in by a phone call. Key things to remember: *Extra safe and secure- gated property * Takes pets- an has a nice walk around the river/puppy park ** Amazing staff- Debbie and Paige will take care of you fully *I would rate the complex and apt a 10/10
I went to River Park this weekend to find an apartment for my son and I. Their model is a 2 bedroom roommate plan and it is phenomenal. My adult son will have his side of the apartment and I will have mine. Plus, the leasing person was very accommodating. I do not have to worry about buying any appliances. And, I am looking forward to using that beautiful pool when the weather gets warmer too. If you have to live in McComb or Pike County there is no other place to live than River Park Apartments.

Thanks for the review! We are so excited to welcome you to the River Park community. You're going to love it here.
I have really enjoyed living here and as for the office Lisa, Paige, and Debbie they have been very helpful and caring on the concerns of my husband because when I was trying to get into the Apartment my husband got sick and I was having to deal with everything on my own and if they don't see him they will ask about him.
So far my experience at River Park Apartments is great, Mrs. Debbie, Mrs. Page, and all of the other staff I've met have been really nice and helpful, we called about a firing alarm that kept going off early in the morning and they took care of it the next day before I got home from work
River Park's staff offers curb-side service in regards to packages that have been delivered for you and great business services like faxing, computers, and free printing. Repairs are done in a timely manner.
Staff was not only knowledgeable in the information, but nice as people in that they cared for the potential customer, or better yet client. The apartments are above what any photo has to show online and the move in was easier due to good scheduling on their behalf. Since moving in my roommate and I haven't has any complaints about noise or apartment issues when it comes to living quarters. Overall this is the best choice I could have made when moving to the city. I love it here and plan on staying for the foreseeable future!
Wow!! I am surprised at some of the reviews here. I have been here less than a month but so far I am really content with my new place. It is definitely a serene atmosphere and I respectfully approve of quiet time hours, as I am not new to apartment living. I really feel appreciative of the management/maintenance staff and how courteous they are. I have not experienced the negativeness I have read about here. Considering the property is still implementing corrections and ironing out its imperfections, I can handle that. I have made several calls and received a reasonable response along with a courtesy email notification of service completion. I think it is really up to not just management but apartment dwellers as well to make sure that we are not bringing in corrupt individuals or behaviors we abhor. A little bit of leaven definitely spoils the entire loaf...it will trickle down/through the entire loaf [both yours & mine] Let's be better neighbors therefore we can watch out for one another. It is definitely wrong to just sit on the sideline when you are suppose to be a team player ..imperfections are existent in us all yet, tolerance levels and boundaries really do matter. Report corruption when U observe it, coming here and screaming does nothing to prevent it! See something ...Say something!! U don't have to be confrontational to address corrupt behavior, I really don't want to be afraid in my new environment and you shouldn't either. My relationship with the appliances is simply #dotheywork...yes they do so I really don't sweat the small stuff!! Nevertheless I abhor disrespect/dishonest/corruption etc. Those are my pet peeves! Home is where one goes to unwind ...relax and enjoy day to day fruits of their labor, stress at home will wound anybody, so let's be mindful that we have chosen River Park Community to call HOME. I promise to update this review in 5-6 months (halfway lease period). Let's agree to be the neighbor that is the neighbor(s) we seek to live amicably amidst!! I submitted 4 stars because I need an adequate amount of time to scrutinize my stay/surroundings!!
I adore the management here and they ALWAYS make sure we have what we need, and more. The maintenance team also do their best in making sure our apartment maintains it's luxury. There isn't a better team then the River Park team. I have loved every single day here, because it is just so beautiful and serene. We are also in a very coveted location that is central to alot of stores, supermarkets, food places etc. To compliment the excellent location, we have a sense of security within the apartment community. Everyone is polite to each other and we enjoy this stress free environment that is provided by the, once again, awesome management team. Whenever I wake up I am happy because of almost everything that our apartment has to offer. The soft carpet that greets my feet every morning, the spacious kitchen and various storage cupboards for food, cutlery and other things. I could go on but those are just a few things that I love about the apartment, I could go on. Bottom line is, River Park Apartments are superb and get better every day :) I would personally like to thank Miss Debby, Miss Paige and Miss Lisa for always working hard at going above and beyond for me and many other residents. River Park Apartments is the place to be, everyone should come and enjoy a piece of Heaven over here.
I live in a one bedroom apartment here with my roommate, and we've loved it here. The management is awesome, and always greet us with a smile. We've never had any problems with our appliances, and the apartment is really nice, a lot better than where we were before. I love the stove especially, it is soooo easy to clean, and they provide the cleaning solution for you with the manual. Obviously no one and nothing is perfect, but when we've had maintenance work orders, they've been prompt in responding to the problem. I've never had a problem with the gate or with toilets flushing so I'm not sure if that was a problem before we moved in, but from personal experience, things have been great. The apartment is spacious but homey at the same time, and we love the dark flooring with the dark wood. There are imperfections here and there, and we hear our neighbors every now and then, but that's sort of to be expected. We're not living in a palace. All in all, I like these apartments, and I love the management. They are super sweet, and will treat you the way you treat them. :)
These apartments are wonderful. We have a beautiful pool, a twenty-four fitness center and an gorgeous clubhouse. We face the woods and it is so tranquil. I look forward to coming home each day. All of our neighbors are polite and quiet like us. I would not even know I had neighbors if it was not for their cars being parked in the parking lot. A few of my neighbors have dogs and I rarely hear them either. I love having the gate. I feel so safe. I have been here nearly a year and it has always worked. The property manager and her staff are wonderful. She is such are caring person. She goes out of her way to help her residents. The maintenance staff is very professional and courteous. They are prompt in working on your maintenance issues and keep you informed during the process. I was shocked to see these bad reviews. They are so off the wall and untrue. It is amazing how ugly people can be and convince themselves that striking out in any manner is acceptable behavior.
I dont understand why there are so many negative reviews for this apartment community. Me and the wife have lived alot of places across the country, but this place is by far the best in my opinion. The area is next to a traffic free side road that leads straight to downtown McComb. Also, the parking lots are spacious and I have never had a problem with parking or entering and leaving. I am thankful for the gated entrances and the swimming pool and especially the gym. I use the treadmills quite a bit and have always had the place to myself and the peace helps me to zone out during my treadmill runs. As far as in the inside of the apartment, I have never had any issues to speak of. All of the brand name appliances work perfectly and haven't had any problems with any of them. We have a 2 bedroom, and the spacious flow of the rooms is what appealled to both of us. As far as the neighbors go, they are nice and friendly and I have enjoyed meeting the few that live near us and I haven't had any problems with anyone. Again, i dont understand the complaints that are being made about this community. It is a great centrally-located spot that has everything a family could want. If you are looking for a spot, this is the best place to check out.
First thing I'd like to point out is how blessed me and my family have been to be able to live here. We clearly aren't as spoiled as some. Our experience with the management has been wonderful and the maintenance guys are great too. We have never had to wait over a day to have maintenance. BUT even if we did the management would have a reason and and let us know. Most people who have bad things to say about River Park have a hard time believing that the staff there are not meant to wait on them hand and foot. There are multiple apartments that will have issues throughout use. And to me, it's pretty reasonable to have someone come as soon as they can. To address the gate issue, I am not a huge fan, but I also know that it was put up for good reasons. Yes, there were issues in the past and most likely going to be more in the future as well but that's anything made by man. The walls of the apartments are fine but they aren't very sound proof so we can hear people. Especially outside because the widows are large and abundant. Honestly, the tenants are the ones at fault for that annoyance since they shouldn't be outside at night talking and laughing after curfew anyway but it's not to often. We live on a second floor so we have an apartment above us and they have kids and dogs. I swear they stomp on purpose sometimes but I have been able to cope with it over time. I'm sure we are pretty loud to the people below us! The appliances here work and do their job. I honestly have nothing to complain about when it comes to that. Some people have been complaining about the fact that they are black but it looks good. I love all the storage space and the private porch. The rooms are large and the bathrooms are spacious too with plenty of storage and nice lighting. There are outlets everywhere so you can set up you furniture however you like. The biggest problem for me is the carpet.. I have a daughter who is almost two and she's a mess. Their is carpet in the dining room. This is kind of a no no in my opinion because of food. Anyway, the staff are so sweet. They will greet anyone and they are always friendly and chatty. Even hosting parties now and then. So all in all I'd give River Park Apartments a 4 1/2 out of five stars.

I have read through everyone's review and would like to rebut some of the statements placed in them. I am a current resident and I love living here. Yes the property is a gated community and it is a safety precaution, however, no security gate is 100% full proof. With that being said, there is a Courtesy Officer on the property that can be called anytime there is a complaint about any type of disturbances or McComb Police Department is just a phone call away. Also, if you need to get to the other side of the property to visit someone (or cat sit) all you have to do is go to the call box and call that person/apartment and you can be let in to that side. As far as the key cards to the security gate, yes it may be a hassle on rainy days but it's better than living on a property with no security gates. Noise issues are going to be normal due to the fact that this is apartments but they are no more than normal and I have never heard anything after 10:00 pm. I do live on the North side and yes there have been some issues with the plumbing however the management is and has taken care of it efficiently and effectively. No there are no stainless steel appliances thank god, because those are very hard to keep clean. The appliances are all black on black GE and are very up to date and of great quality. I would like to say that my husband and I sold a home and land to move here and have not regretted it a single day. Our power bill alone saves us a lot each month due to the apartments being very energy efficient. Our move-in process was excellent and done in a very appropriate timely manner. The office staff was great in helping with getting us approved and moved in. We couldn't have asked for better people and property. It has been such a joy living here that we plan on renewing. The ladies in the office have been so great as well as the maintenance staff. Therefore, I would most definitely refer this property to anyone and truly do believe that this is luxury living in McComb, MS.
I beg you - look into renting a condo/house instead! They need to take the "luxury" right out of their title because this place is mediocre at best. After having previously lived in a nicer apartment, I expected to at least get the same decency here. BOY WAS I WRONG. I don't know how they do their background checks here because there are current tenants that are co-renting their place out to at least 6 different people in order to afford it. And with that, comes their way of life- blasting music at night like people don't have work the next morning, having verbal arguments in parking lots, children crying outside with no parents around, letting multiple guests into the pool area when they clearly have no access card, etc. Then comes the actual apartment. Everything is made so cheap - Paint is haphazardly thrown on the walls, the floor boards are cut so long that they warp up, bathrooms don't have drawers or cabinets (so yes, you put your towels and daily care routine in the closet OUTSIDE the bathroom), the bathtub/shower combo is the plastic kind that comes in one piece, walls are thin as ever, elephants live above you, you hear every front door that closes in your building, and sadly, the list goes on. The best part is the office/management. Where do I even start?? This place is such a mess. They never contact you regarding the completion of your application, they get your lease date wrong, they lock the bathroom in the gym on the weekends, they only open the business office during business hours so when you come back home from work and need to print out stuff for work- buy a personal printer, you get there during lunch break to pick up packages- tough luck. Oh and this is the funnest part of all!- its pouring outside and you need to open the gate to get to home and how do you get in? OH that's right! You get to open your window all the way down so that your handy dandy key card can be scanned by the sensor! Oh and it doesn't work when you just tap the edge?? Yep that's even better because you get to place the card flat on the sensor so that means reaching half your body out the window in your business clothes in the rain... yay. And good luck trying to cat sit for your friend who lives on the other side of the complex because there is no way you can get over there in your car. Nope. You get to park your car in front of the office and walk your sweet self to the gate to open the sidewalk gate and walk to their building. Yes, this place is the best.
As family of two of your recent occupants who lived in one of your two bedroom apartments for eight months, a 60 day notice to leave was given to the manager and the apartment was cleaned by professional cleaners until it sparkled; and still the manager refused to return their $900.00 deposit. They worked during the day and basically only slept there at night and observed people climbing and crawling under the fence at night and making loud noises and wrecking havoc. Three cars were broken into during their eight month stay. There was a 1-inch space under their entrance door which was reported several times, and maintenance ignored the problem for the entire time they were there. Bugs crawled in and a towel had to be put down to aleve this problem. The automatic gates, in this so-called gated community, worked sporadically but they were open wide enough for non-renters to enter at will. Now I ask you, are you sure you want to rent in these so-called high-priced-luxury apartments with a view of a stagnant creek behind and a parking lot in front? Not to mention trying to work with a manager with an attitude and no maintenance available if you have a problem that needs fixing. I'm of the mind that these problems need to be addressed also to the Owners and to the Better Business Bureau which I will do as soon as possible. But in the meantime, this review is being written so future renters will be aware that they will not get their monies worth and that their deposits will not be returned to them even though the paper work shows they followed all of the rules of renting from the River Park Apartments.
If I knew this site and read the previous comment I wouldn't end up here. I will rate on scale of 10. The apartment itself 3/10 : reasonable. However, this is NOT luxury apartment at all. SECURITY 0/10: I see men wandering around at night and climbing balconies of multiple apartments. If you find something suspicious and tell them, they just don't care. They act like not their problem. The contract won't let you install additional locks. Service before signing the contract 7/10 and after signing the contract 2/10: They only want you to rent their apartments, and after signing the contract, they don't even care about you at all. If I call about something and ask for some pieces of information, they NEVER get back to give me an answer. Don't let them fool you like they did to me. Sound-proof 2/10. You hear everything happening outside of your apartment, even the sound (scream) of people from their bedroom ( which I DON'T want to hear) View 1/10. Entertainment or any other kind of convenience 0/10 : none, not anything you can find. Road 2/10: needs major update If you are young, don't rent here. You will hate it every much.
I am extremely disappointed at River Park Apartments and even hate it now. This apartment complex has tons of issues. The security gate works once in a while then stop working for months. The old lady manager is not even aware the security gate wasn't working. How lovely. -- Your A/C suddenly stopped working on a beautiful hottest day and they took at least 2 days to fix it after you put in work order. Your apartment will literally be on FIRE. -- Your bathroom toilet is not working either. -- If you are lucky, your neighbor might respect the quiet hours, unfortunately I am not one of those lucky guys. The loud music and voices will drive you crazy or wake you up at night. -- The scariest part is when you see people wander around these apartment, looking, climbing fences, and/or even breaking in stealing. The manager/contract does not allow you to install addition locks for your safety because it destroys their property. Yes, of course their property is more important than you and your family's safety. -- My biggest problem with this apartment complex is the management team. The old lady manager is a NIGHTMARE. She is EXTREMELY RUDE and looks down on people. If she can screw you, she will. If she doesn't like you, she will talk behind your back( unfortunately, it was about some1 I know and I heard it. Thanks to that, the tenant already moved out). Her job description must have included : " badmouthing your tenants if you can, drive your potential tenant away by mistreating your current tenants" -- It seems like I am not the only one encounter these problems. These are the plain truth spoken from current tenant experiences. I don't really know if this is luxury standard or not but I know it must let the tenant feel safe and comfortable living here. However, I feel none of those. I feel threaten that some1 is gonna break in while I'm at work or going out. How can I feel comfortable while the appliances and AC keeps breaking down?
As much as I wish these previous reviews were written well before I moved in unfortunately they weren't. So if I can help someone else by writing my review based upon my own personal experience this is it. Now at first sight River Park is lovely. From everyone in the front office to the maintenance guy down to the inside and outside of the apartments. Once you have signed your lease and have moved in than that beautiful visual you saw and were told about is everything but beautiful. As time starts to pass by you begin to notice all the little imperfections inside your unit. Durning the Rainer months you'll be surprised when you find your bathroom toilet isn't working...sometimes only 2 hours and other times give or take about 7 hours. The creek in the back of the propert looks like a steady River stream and this is on a regular rainy day. Sometimes your brand new dishwasher just might not work. On top of that the so called security gates aren't necessarily for your safety as there was a breakin recently and several vehicles were broken into, or you might see random people walking around or how about the ones that throw trash and dog feces over their balconies or how about the neighborhood kids jumping the fence to get on to the property. There was a "lift system" installed a few weeks ago to help with the plumbing issues and so that you're able to use the bathroom on rainy days but that still hasn't helped. Honestly, it just made things worse. So on any given day you still may have the same issues. Management and upper management has been notified on several occasions about the issues we face at River Park, but we still receive the same standard message "We're working on it and I'm sorry". Thanks for the apology but is it really going to get fixed this time? If so, how long and what's the problem? If you're honest and upfront than that's great but when you just keep getting broken promises and these issues continue to get worse than it's all falling on deaf ears. I hat not being able to have not one but two non working bathrooms plus random water coming from the hot water heater closet clearly when I haven't done laundry or used my dishwasher that day, than we have serious problem. We, the residence of River Park Apartment sincerely appreciate your "efforts" but until these issues are completely resolved than Houston we have a problem. Singed, Upset and over it
I must agree with the previous reviews. These are NOT luxury apartments! You get black appliances, formica counter tops, a gate that dose not work more than 90 percent of the time. The management can care less about you once you are in there. There was a break in about two weeks ago. Several vehicles were broken into including the property manager. No notices were sent out regarding this "safety" issue. There are strange people always roaming around the complex. When it rains it pours and your so called 'Luxury Living' becomes no existent. Depending on where you're at in the complex your toilets don't work. At first sight, the appear to be nice but once you are here just know it will be everything but luxury. On the plus side there is a gym and a pool. If you have kids, this isn't the place for you. There is no place for the kids to play let alone ride their bikes. Nothing but woods and a huge river which is very dangerous!! My advice to you...THINK LONG AND HARD AND READ THE REVIEWS. It's all true.

I am sorry you have had a bad experience with our gates. Whenever dealing with new construction we are at the mercy of the subcontractors that installed these amenities. The gates are now operational, plus I am sure you have seen a difference in the foot traffic throughout the property. I did not send a letter out due to the fact it was my vehicle broken into and I thought I was the target. Also, Parklane Road has been repaired, blacktopped and is very nice. We had to get the help of Mayor Rawlings, the City Council even the State Representative, David Myers. Please be sure if you see Mr. Myers you tell him thank you for his help. As far as a place for kids to play there is a large green area on the north side of the property. Plus, the pool is open from 10:00am to 10:00pm. It is just younger residents are not allowed out on the property unsupervised. There is a few miles of sidewalks throughout the property for bike riders. River Park has installed a lift station to help with the toilet flushing issues. As I said in the beginning River Park is new construction and there are always a few post construction issues that need to be worked out. The staff and management are constantly working on remedying these issues. Thank you for your comments.
First, appliances are not stainless steel. Second, apartment sound-proof cant be any worse. Add to that, tenants and their children are noisy. You can hear every single sound happens outside of your apt.The view is eyesore. This town doesnt offer any entertainment. Apt service is ok. Security is not good but not too bad either. Not recommend.
