Property Ratings at River Run Village
I moved here from Atlanta, Georgia, a few years ago, and I had a very bad experience for the entire 18 months since I didn't realize how bad the property market was here. I have been living in this complex for the past eight months, and I have to say that it has made my life more pleasant. I always know that no matter what occurs elsewhere in San Diego, I have an apartment at River Run to go back to, a place where I can regain my peace and serenity. One of my favorite things about living here is that I know that if I have any maintenance problems or issues, the maintenance staff will take care of them and usually finish the work order the same day. This place has great staff! All in all, my encounter with a non-resident utilizing the club exercise center was unpleasant. He left a mess and contaminated the center with smoke from cigarettes and other chemicals. I brought this to the attention of Miss Paige, one of the wonderful staff members at the rental office, and she took care of the problem by ensuring that the security would be more watchful in that area, and it was successful. I'm appreciative that Miss Paige and the rest of the staff here understand how important resident safety is—something I didn't experience in all the other places I've lived since moving to San Diego.
CHEAP! Poor painting, management, apartments. It’s just poorly made here. You can hear everything from the upstairs neighbors. Like the wall as are super thin you hear the person in the other rooms convo too! These apartments are very noisy! & management does nothing about it.
First apartment and I would say it was an ok experience. Been here 10 months and I feel as though it is overpriced for what you get. Of course during the visit they showed us a pool view apartment as well as one that was in pristine condition. I enjoyed that the complex was overall quiet but my balcony dips in one part which made me feel unsafe to hang outside. Had maintenance come multiple times to fix flooded kitchen sink, bathroom sink and tub (water would come back up on multiple occasions). Parking spots are tiny so if you care for your car that is something you might want to look into. Gate has been broken for over 6 months which sucks because people park in the fire lanes blocking parking spaces. If I had known I would have payed the extra $300 for the luxury apartments next door
Lived there for 3 yrs. How I do not know. Old, you will hear every step any neighbor makes above you. Noisy weekends, like a bad frat house. Cheap, cheap finishes, paint, stains, carpet. Stair wells always dirty, no one takes even a broom to them. They blame the water shortage for not cleaning them, you need water to sweep?? Car parking spaces very, very close together. Your doors will always get banged up. Appliances mismatched black microwave and white stove. Cheap old blinds that are so old they crack and break with any movement. Since I lived there the electric security gate worked for maybe one month!!! Always broken. No matter how clean you are, you will not get any of your security deposit back. Place is HORRIBLE. Not managed well at all.
From the outside the apartment complex looks pretty decent. Walking around its a nice clean area and is kept up with. My apartment is a one bedroom one bath. It's very small and for that I disagree with pricing. Although I do have the convenience of having a W/D in the apartment which helps with making life easy. The bedroom is a good size for two as well as the closet space and added storage area in the room. As for the bathroom, it is small and has only little storage space. The model I got does not have a open floor plan with the kitchen, so for that it looks extremely small. It does have a lot of space in the cabinets and was in good shape. Everything is working and looks good for however many times it has been rented. The staff is really nice and accommodating which makes things run more smooth. Overall its a great apartment for couples and the location is great. Every store you can think of is about 2-5 mins away.
My boyfriend and I have lived here for over 3 years, I have always had bad encounters with the property manager Cheryl. We both work overnight and she randomly knocks and accuses us for blocking her VIP parking spot right in front of our complex. So imagine if it's 3pm, it's like 3am to us nocturnal people. Cheryl, how would you like it if I knock on your door at 3am accusing you for something you didn't do? This complex is not quiet what so ever. If you ever order something online, it automatically gets delivered to the office and they don't have the competence to call their residence to let them know it's in there. I mean, wouldn't you want a call if you're paying $2,000/mo for 3 years? All I have to say is don't bother. They lack a sense of urgency on fixing broken parts in your apartment and are not willing to work around our schedule(s) either... you know since we do sleep during the day and work at night.
I have lived here for 3 weeks, so far its a great place. Very nice community, there is cotsco and ikea across the street. So far i am very pleased with the apartment. The locarion its great and prize its reasonable.
I live in a neighborhood that is very bad and my landlord doesn't like to fix things. When he does he will put the cheapest things and they only keep breaking. I'm in the middle of moving in two weeks and have nowhere to go. This has been a nightmare neighborhood and I want to someday live in a clean home, that is my wish
