Often regarded as Cincinnati’s most desirable neighborhood, Hyde Park is picturesque with charming historic homes and spacious tree-lined streets. At the center of the neighborhood lies Hyde Park Square, teeming with more than 175 unique shops, galleries, and restaurants for residents and visitors to explore.
In addition to Hyde Park Square, the neighborhood is known for containing the Cincinnati Observatory, a National Historic Landmark (and fully functional observatory) that’s home to the world’s oldest telescope. Hyde Park is also convenient to the expansive Ault Park, which is revered for its historic pavilion, lush gardens, and scenic trails.
Hyde Park fosters a sense of community with an array of exciting events, such as the annual Hyde Park Art Show, Hyde Park Blast, and the seasonal Hyde Park Farmers’ Market. Located just five miles from the heart of Downtown Cincinnati, Hyde Park offers residents easy access to all that the city has to offer.

Property Ratings at River View East
I have lived here for 2 years and can say the actual apartment is nice, clean, and bug free. The biggest perk is that the apartments are practically soundproof. I rarely hear my neighbor (and if I do it is faint). If something is wrong (shower drain needing snaked, AC leaking so they replaced, etc), they are very good at getting back to you within a day on maintenance issues. The rent WAS reasonable for the size, but that was before they raised the rent to $675 which I think is outrageous for a studio apartment. The reasons I am only rating this 3 stars are: They advertise a pool but they did not open the pool this summer due to not wanting to pay to have it fixed and pass inspection! It drives me crazy that their website and apartments.com have an image and feature listing it as having a pool - THERE IS NO POOL! Secondly, the parking, although nice to have, is inconvenient. It is on a rather steep hill and is very annoying to run in and out of your apartment in a hurry with the hill and lack of good spots at certain times. Another inconvenient part is that the elevator is so slow and sometimes not working. I have learned to live the healthy lifestyle and always use the stairs. It takes less time to go right for the stairs every time than to wonder how long the elevator will take to get to your floor. In summary, if you don't care about not having a pool that you think comes with your rent, and you don't care about losing a couple pounds from all the hills/stairs you will be walking every day, then this is a great apartment.
