The management is awful liars. They will find anyway to over charge you. they do not prorate the month like they say they do. They will tell you one thing to appease you in person then call you the next day and tell you something different. IF you do not pay rent with a cashier check they will charge you an extra fee. Very unprofessional I have never lived at such a deceitful place. If you rent here record everything they tell you, or they will say they never said anything like that.

I absolutely love living at Riverwalk. My boyfriend and I had lived here for a year and when we went to move we viewed several different properties (even a sister property) and were SHOCKED at how awful the staff was to us so we came back to Riverwalk where the staff immediately know our names and take great care of us! Anytime we have had a concern the staff has openly communicated the issue, the solution, and how long the solution should take to be resolved. The community at Riverwalk is very friendly, it’s always clean (I even see staff members who are giving tours picking up trash on the tour). The amenities are great, and they even do “community gatherings” where food trucks come or they have treats to celebrate random holidays at the office. My boyfriend and I are so glad to cal Riverwalk our home.

I have been living here for almost 5 years! The office staff changes so frequently called you are constantly harassed about what you have on your patio! I recently bought an actual balcony privacy screen and within 3 weeks of attaching it to my railing.. I have gotten 3 “house mouse” notes on my door. I have taken photos of numerous patios and balconies that have everything from chicken wire to a huge metal frame that has chain link fence attached to it. But, mine is not acceptable because the office staff can’t see through the material. Our lease specifically states you cannot drape or hand carpet, clothes, rugs or towels over the railing. It makes no mention of screens f any kind. Yet, some people can have chicken wire while others cannot have privacy screens. Some people can attach a mesh material with HUGE METAL CLIPS and others cannot have privacy screens. Riverwalks own house mouse report specifically states “ONLY LIVE” plants are allowed, even though their own model apartment has a plastic plant. I guarantee once you have signed your lease... and you thought how “nice” the staff was... you will never experience “nice” again. They will look down their noses at you and treat you as if you are a nuisance or criminal. I have heard this comment from every single person that has moved in! Most, promptly move out. If you get an apartment with the old yellow appliances... expect that they will never be replaced. I can’t count the number of times my neighbor has had her stove fixed and they refuse to replace it. Every couple of months there is new staff in the office. They arbitrarily apply rules in a discriminatory fashion and give excuses as to why for you the rule is different. I have witnessed a bike being stolen in broad daylight... just know if you move here, the only thing the office will be concerned about is what you have on your patio or balcony. As far as your safety, having functional appliances etc.... that is not a priority at Riverwalk.

I thought living here was great until Management and maintenance left the rented unit unlocked via front door, patio screen door, patio sliding door, and water heater storage door on patio. After playing phone/email tag with maintenance and regional manager, the situation was not resolved but I was left with an empty meaningless apology and a shampooing for the carpets at the expense of NALs Management. I would have renewed my lease until both upper management personnel and corporate office brushed this "human error" under the rug. I never so violated, unsafe, or seriously disappointed until this happened to me. Management is horrible and their error should have never happened to begin with. Since my experience, I've never felt so unsafe, extremely violated since my home no longer felt like home. There are so many vacancies....now I know why. On the plus, the location was great.

I lived in River Walk for one year, until I bought a house and moved out. My experience with living here was very peaceful & pleasant. The apartments were well kept, and the amenities was great. The staff was very attentive and very professional. When ever I needed something fixed in the apartment, I'll submit a work order and the on-site maintenance responded & addressed all issues either the same day or the next, never ever having to follow-up. I have no negatives about living here and would recommend this place for anyone looking to rent. If it wasn't for affordable home buying in ABQ, I would defiantly renew my lease in a heart belt. Thank you River Walk for a great experience. It is very rare that I right a review, but you guys earned it!
The management here sucks big time. Two weeks ago, a psychotic (probably drugged up) neighbor came home angry one day and was yelling at me for not saying hi to him. I was outside walking my dog. This crazy guy threatened to assault me and went inside and thrashed his apartment. I contacted the police and the apartment management and they did nothing. The management refuses to take any action regarding safety matters, they just tell you that its your responsibility to contact the police. If some weirdo was harassing you, would you still feel safe to live here? I didn't think so. The general manager, Gina, is extremely rude and unpleasant. I have had a few run ins with her and she is a witch. And of course these severe incidents happened just after I renewed my lease for a year. Yuck! There are lots of vacancies here, I'm sure you can guess why.
Quiet and respectful neighbors, close to great restaurant, grocery stores, movie theaters, everything is right there. Walking and bike paths to the river. Great location and extremely friendly, helpful staff!
The office staff is awesome, friendly, takes care of issues immediately. The grounds and buildings are well cared for. Nice and quiet neighborhood. Some people have complained about the dogs barking or parakeets chirping or whatever, but if they don't want to hear that, they can move to a complex that doesn't accept pets. It's never bothered me. The complex is beautiful and peaceful if you ask me.
