Property Ratings at Rivercrest Apartments
From the second call where the apartment manager Bob, helped us out with a more affordable price during covid all the way until receiving a check for our entire deposit plus interest after moving out, Rivercrest staff has been professional, friendly and timely. The property both inside and out is very well maintained. Our apartment had basically been completely redone when we moved in, so it felt like moving into an almost new apartment. The amenities including, barbeque grills, pool, dog park and bathing room are all great, mostly built into rent and we'll maintained. The grounds always felt very secure. Pets are very much welcome and there are ample doggy poop bags stations. The maintenance staff were always really friendly, kind and professional and got things done in a timely way. Which is not the norm for most apartment complexes. Rent is a little high for Piscataway, but the amenities, staff and security are worth the premium. Overall rivercrest was a great experience and we probably would have stayed there until we could have afforded a house, if we hadn't moved for work, rather than looking for a cheaper place in Piscataway.
I first came across Rivercrest Apartments back in 2006. Stayed for 4 years and then moved out because I purchased a place. After selling my home in 2014, I moved back to Rivercrest again. They do an excellent job of maintaining the grounds (beautiful landscaping) and units. The staff is very friendly and the tenants/neighbors are great. The resort-style swimming pool is a real bonus - I've never seen anything like it in an apartment complex. Whenever I had a maintenance emergency, it only took a few minutes for them to call me back. What a response time! I really miss the staff and complex after moving out again in Sept 2016 (because of work). I highly recommend Rivercrest to anyone looking for an apartment!
Apartments are nice and well kept. Onsite maintenance making complains quickly resolved, neighborhood is safe and clean. My biggest problem with this place is the electric bills, because the complex uses electric heating instead of gas, in the winter I got a bill of $270, bear in mind this is a small 2 bedroom, I live alone and turn off my heaters when I go to work, even when I get back, I keep the heat on only in the living room and one bedroom and both are on very low temperature, just to take off the cold edge to the point where I still have to wear a big sweater and socks to keep warm. I called pse & g and they told me my bill was low compared to the last tenant who had paid up to $800 for January the last year. So annoying getting that kinda high electric bill even when your heat is so low that you even develop a cold. I will be looking for another apartment that uses gas.
This was my first time renting, and I am very happy with Rivercrest Apartments. Conveniently located near New Brunswick, as well as malls movies and more. My fiance loves the heated pool and I love the dog park. Very affordable, I recommend living on the first floor of you don't mind people living above you, because the second floor gets really hot in the summer. I highly recommend Rivercrest Apartments.
I was looking for a well kept, clean, and quiet apartment. My last apartment was old, dirty, noisy, and not very appealing from the inside or out. Once I stumbled upon the grounds of the Rivercrest Apartments, I knew this was a winner! It is simply amazing! The management is very friendly and willing to help you with any questions or concerns you may have. If you have a problem, it addressed the next day with no questions asked! The grounds are so well kept that you can see they care about their tenants and their business. You know they really care about their tenants when they have "Tenant appreciation day". I have never lived in another complex where they care so much about their tenants and want to throw a party in their honor! I live in a renovated apartment and it has everything I want in a single bedroom apartment. Real hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, granite counter-tops, upgraded gorgeous bathroom,a decent size bedroom, and even a little wine rack in my kitchen(Bonus)! It has plenty of room for one person! As an added bonus, there is a magnificent pool that makes you feel like you are on a resort. You can tell the landlord put a lot of thought, time, and effort in designing the pool. He wanted to design a little get away spot for his tenants and wow did he do a great job! I doubt you will ever see a pool in an apartment complex quite like this one! Most importantly the tenants are working professionals or families so everyone is quiet, nice, and respectful. Definitely an upgrade from my previous residence. I could go on and on about how much I love my new apartment! AMAZING AND BEAUTIFUL!
Not only is the pool nice - and if anyone tells you anything about this complex it will be that the pool is nice - the staff is great. They're friendly and helpful, but most importantly they are friendly and helpful in a speedy manner. Get locked out at 2 in the morning? You can be back in in 20 minutes, and the poor soul who has to get up at 2 to let you in will still be smiling and tell you to have a good night.
