Property Ratings at Rivercroft Apartments
My family lived here from July 2022-2023. There were things we liked about it: parking was convenient to our unit, there were lots of trees and nature, the unit was cool in the summer, and we used the treadmill and sauna a good amount. Condition-wise, the unit was dark and somewhat dilapidated. Particle board cabinets sagged from their hinges, closets regularly fell off their railings, etc. However, the biggest issues revolved around move-in readiness, delayed maintenance requests (over the winter our sink was clogged for weeks and I had to dump water outside), loud neighbors, and, most frustratingly, fair and responsive financial interactions. When we moved in, the primary bedroom window was broken and boarded up. We were told we'd receive a rent discount and asked about it multiple times, always to be told that it was "in process." Now that our lease is up I've emailed multiple times about shortages and inaccurate charges on our security deposit, and have received incomplete and dismissive responses from management. If you're moving here be sure to save all your receipts and do your own bookkeeping.
The apartment amenities are very old, everything is broken or does not work well. The only options are to request work to be done through the website or to go in the office in person to request. Even during office hours for the past year, there isn't anybody in the office. If you request work to be done through the website, they basically just come in whenever they feel like it. You can hear neighbors through the walls at all hours and the parking lot is a mess. Other tenants parking at the end of their section have to do a 7 turn park to get in their spots. Unless you plan on doing all washing yourself and you take a bus only, find something cheaper.
Rivercroft staff are lovely and been more than helpful. My wife and I moved to Washington and when we applied, new right away this place wild be great to live. Rent seems a bit steep for what you get as far as quality of property, but overall still a wonderful place. We have a good view, nice appliances, a fireplace and few things wrong with the place. When things have not worked or broke, the staff fixed it quickly and were very accommodating. Facilities provided are nice and used by those that live here often. Have never been upset we decided to live here and look forward to making this a long term place to live.
