Nice building, good stuffs, comfortable. But our 1b1b has a smaller room. Although good services. There are lots of procedures while leasing. But the manager makes it easier. Anyway, if you can afford it, it's quite the best place to live. Most importantly all the necessary shops, supermarkets, etc. all are just in a 5 min walk.
they have great staff that work here and make me feel very welcome. the amenities are good and my only complaint is that the floors are thin.

Riverhouse, The Ashley building is located at the heart of Pentagon City, surrounded by all major shops. Access to the Pentagon City metro station is very close and convenient, making it super easy to commute for residents who are not using automobiles. The location is my first choice when choosing where to live.

The James building of the Riverhouse is located centrally to an amazing community at the West point shops which is a more quiet area in relation to vehicles and a very walking friendly location for kids and pets. Very safe area with lots of work opportunities in walking distance. The staff at the James building is amazing except for the management that took over after the past manager Steve who was amazing and always looking out for the residents. It's an older building, but it doesn't matter if there's people on your side. Unfortunately the new manager isn't on your side with problems especially with parking or billing issues (they assume the problem is on your side and it can take weeks to resolve the issue even with clean proof), this manager has push several people away with less than pleasant letters from management or not allowing people to renew their lease. Aside from this person managing the building the staff is amazing and the community residents look out for each other.

I like this apartment however I hate inside garage! Small space and garage door always have some issue break for 2 -3 months! While we are paying full garage fee! We don’t know in the evening who is coming to our garage or not! The door is accessible for strangers since garage door is 24/7 open!

The Ashley is a well constructed, well located, well managed building conveniently located to public transportation, literally hundreds of retail stores and services. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the public areas are kept up to a very high standard. There is a 24 hour concierge for the building which provides a level of security as well as a "welcome home" upon your arrival. The population of the building is diverse in age and ethnicity. All in all, it is probably the best value in Pentagon City.

River House is a great place to live. It is very well managed, the staff is always responsive to residents needs and all of the facilities are well maintained. However, I recommend that visitors parking be free or the rates reduced.

The Ashley building has location, close to the metro, gig shopping mall and food stores, Costco, Harris T, Target as well as Ulta, TJ etc. The building is surrounded by green areas that are perfect for walks and run . Lots of facilities and events organizes by the building management

I’ve been living at River House James Apartments for about a month now, and I can already tell it’s an excellent community. The management has been extremely helpful and responsive, quickly addressing any questions or concerns I’ve had. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with clean, landscaped areas that give the property a welcoming feel. The amenities are fantastic—there’s a well-equipped gym and a nice pool area, both of which add to the overall experience. The apartment itself is modern and spacious, with great finishes, and I’ve been impressed by how quiet and peaceful it is, despite being in a lively area. It feels like a place where you can truly relax after a long day. One of the standout aspects is the sense of community. The apartment complex, personnel, and units are all great. However, the elevators in the Potomac building are constantly breaking down or under renovation, causing long wait times to get in and out of the building on a daily basis. There has been at least one elevator not working since the day I moved in.

For such a beautiful city with a wonderful community, RiverHouse has to be one wretched and deplorable apartment complex. The management is abominable and the only people who treated me like a person were the maintenance people. Insane rent prices that keep increasing every year with no change in amenities. Absolutely no follow ups for any sort of complaints regarding general safety and wellness of tenants, fire alarms that go off without any reason, elevators that are out every other week. I don’t know why they have a fob system since anyone can get in the building. I have had a random stranger follow me and my roommate to our apartment at 11 pm at night. The biggest reason for my leave was having two big rocks fall next to me through the glass roof situated over the entrance. My sibling and I could’ve died and I immediately contacted the management with no follow up, not so much as a sorry, are you ok? The only reason I didn’t sue is because I work in the legal field and I know the headache that comes with going against these big conglomerate real estate businesses. The near four years I have lived here as a responsible tenant, I was treated like garbage while moving out. Like many other reviews state, they will do anything to get extra money out of you after you leave. Moved out and never been happier. Shame on you, Riverhouse and JBG.

Location is great. Abundance of shopping malls, groceries and restaurants are around. Metro is 10-12 mins walk. Apartment is cozy with ample light. It’s a bit old apartment and equipment and appliances are not the best, but overall, a good experience so far.

Great location, nice staff. Could do with some easy aesthetic updates-- new hallway carpet, new paint. Elevators are always out and laundry room always has machines offline that need maintenance.

The place is clean, well-organized, and the staff are friendly. There is always someone at the reception, which makes it feel safe. Costco, Target, and various other amenities are nearby, and it's not far from the subway station, so the location is really convenient.

Elevators are constant down or in remodel even after months of numerous attempts to fix the issue. Maybe because they're old? Usually only operating 1 passenger elevator for 17 floors of apartments is quite the disruption to those living on floors 4-17.

I have been in the Riverhouse apartments for 3 months and I love it! I'll soon be decorating my own room and living in a bigger space. The front desk folks are amazing and kind people, fast to their service no matter what. Each Riverhouse buildings are beautiful, inside and outside!

I love my apartment and the management and staff in my building. But the quality is going downhill. A lot of smoking and people just showing no respect for the property--definitely not kept as clean and well maintained as before.

Nice place to live. Best to live in the higher up levels. Lower levels may have rodents, but overall a nice place. They usually have a Christmas party, but for some reason this last year they didn't, but when they do it's nice.

The Ashley is one of the best apartment communities I've ever lived in. I love how dog friendly it is- having the dog park nearby and all of the dog-stations, and pet spa makes life so much easier.
