Property Ratings at Rivershire Apartments
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!! There is currently garbage everywhere. After a fire that cost each resident in my building hundreds if not thousands they have let the conditions fall apart. I have been offered $50 off rent or kick rocks and leave.I only wish I could post pictures.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that an unplanned fire in the garage is an inconvenience for everyone affected and is a source of frustration. We are doing all we can to keep the process of repair moving forward. Nevertheless, we appreciate all your feedback, as we are always looking for ways to improve our services. We are disappointed to hear that you feel there has been poor upkeep. We have placed trash cans outside of the garages, due to structure not being safe for anyone to enter. Maintenance has been cleaning up each morning, checking for any loose trash, and making sure the area is as neat as it can be due to the circumstance. Thank you for being a Rivershire Apartments resident, if you would like to talk about this issue more feel free to contact us. Goga Filipovic, Property Manager (414) 328-1600
Lived here for 2.5 years and was no more than an apartment number to them. Would not recommend living here if looking for a community feeling or attentive/caring staff. Whenever maintenance was needed, we were treated as a burden. A neighbor always put their trash out and raccoons continuously got into them and trash would be around in our grass for weeks after.. i called multiple times and they said they told them to not do that and that they couldnt do anymore than that. Other occasions where staff was short and irritable with us over email/phone. Many of the apartments need updates.. wish I would have taken a picture of our deck that had rotting boards that made us not ever go out there due to safety concerns. Only reason this is a two stars is because they take care of lawn care, you get a garage, and you don't have to pay for the water. Do not rent through Wimmer, is my personal suggestion. Not worth the money or lack of care they show. Rent through smaller property groups/individuals.

Taralynn, thank you for being a Rivershire resident for 2.5 years. We are glad to hear there were amenities of Rivershire Apartments that you enjoyed; however, we are disappointed that the rest of your tenancy was not as enjoyable. The park-like setting of Rivershire, although beautiful, can invite some unwanted visitors. Our onsite maintenance team regularly conducts trash pickups throughout the site to keep our community clean. We appreciate that you contacted our office after a racoon had made a mess outside. Our records show that maintenance promptly completed the trash pickup from this incident. Unfortunately, we were not aware of the floorboard of your balcony. Maintenance would have been happy to complete this repair to ensure your enjoyment of the balcony. I apologize if our team made you feel that any repair, big or small would be a burden, as this is not the case. Wimmer Communities takes great pride in creating beautiful communities with exceptional customer service. We apologize that your experience did not meet that mark. If you are up for it, I would love the opportunity to speak with you directly to further discuss your experience and find ways we can improve our services. Feel free to contact me directly at 414-328-1600. Goga Filipovic, Property Manager
You can see from the response to the most recent review that management would rather say you're wrong than try to make things better. Yes the property got new shingles and new paving, but that didn't improve my life. Lower rent and being treated like they wanted us here would have.

Definitely on the low end of Wimmer's large complexes in the area in terms of the quality of the construction and amenities, and the management has been really unresponsive lately. There were residents causing trouble at the pool, and instead of literally looking out their windows (which are next to and face the pool) now and then to see who was the cause, the cut the hours and are already closing it for the season next week. So we pay all this four-figure rent (they may advertise some starting around $900, but it will be over $1000 your first renewal, with water, trash, and pet fees on top of that; they hike a Minimum of 5% every year) and we don't get to use the biggest feature. The other "luxury" apartments I've lived in had the pool open later at night and until late September. Residents requested a delay as it's cold this week and forecast to be in the mid 80s again in two weeks but silence. Just an example. Upkeep, repairs, landscape maintenance gets the same head-in-the-sand response. Location is fantastic, but the attitude is ruining it.

Hello due to the office hours and keeping the neighborhood quiet during reasonable time periods the hours were adjusted for the pool. As advertised the pool closing occurs around labor day. This may be something we would consider adjusting in the future. As with other apartment communities prices will fluctuate based upon the market. We apologize that you have been perceiving us as unresponsive. We hold an average 4 star rating across our platforms and feel that our service amenities and offerings are a great value.
Haven't lived here still looking but I'm sharing my experience from my walk-through of a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom . Karen was very polite. I really liked the location of Rivershire. Upon going into the model apartment I was shocked by how large the living room was *thumbs up*. Unfortunately the kitchen is a very small but also expected seeing as it is an apartment. Was not a fan of the washer dryer being in the bathroom in a closet, weird location and it was the duel washer dryer which in my opinion aren't that great. I also read other reviews about expensive electric bills here which is a concern but I can't confirm nor deny this. They DO NOT offer any type of discount or incentive for military which I was extremely disappointed to hear seeing as my fiance and I are both military veterans and still active. I've also been told from other residence that the walls are thin meaning you can hear your neighbors upstairs, downstairs and outside activities which is also kinda expected. I recently moved to Wisconsin so I've never rented apartments in Wisconsin, I was shocked to hear about the fluctuating prices based off some algorithm VERY Distasteful. So you could be paying more or less then other tenants. Nonetheless wasn't super great at the current price but wasn't terrible. Maybe with a drop in price we'd consider moving here but until then we will continue our hunt.

Thanks to you and your fiance for your service to our country. Thank you also for considering Rivershire. If you are up to it, I would really like to set up a time to meet with you in person. I am always open to hearing suggestions on ways we can improve not only our tour experience, but also our community as a whole and the services we offer. Looking forward to the opportunity, B.Hansen Property Manager
We have lived in Milwaukee for over 5 years now and decided to move to a complex with Luxury. Rivershire has a pool and maintenance on hand. Not happy... Their maintenance treats you poorly as if you have no prior knowledge. Their apartment size dryers take 3 hours to dry a very small load. We were told that it is normal and expected. This is not brought up at the walk through. Within 3 months of living here we had to have every appliance fixed and were treated poorly. Our heat went out in the middle of winter and we were treated as if we didn't know what we were talking about. We live in a lower unit and it is so very loud. It's as if paper separates us from our upstairs neighbors. Their dog barks due to separation anxiety which got tiresome real fast. The garage is small and storage is poor. For the inflated price you can rent a duplex with more space and storage. We are already planning on moving. Take it from us; I work in higher education with a Master’s Degree, and my fiancé is a Firefighter/EMT... don't live here. You can do better.... plus you can only use the pool a few months out of the year. The price is not worth it.
We have been at Rivershire for about a year and a half, and plan to stay at least another year. The complex is well kept and quiet, and in a gorgeous setting. The Oak Leaf trail is a block away, and it's the perfect place to run or bike. The clubhouse and fitness room were just updated, and it's bright and clean with nice equipment. If I had a complaint, it would be that some of the appliances are a bit old. That being said, whenever we have a problem they are quick to send someone to fix it. We love our view of the woods, convenient access to the highway, and comfortable space at Rivershire. We would recommend it to anyone!
Rivershire is wonderful! The well maintained buildings are pleasant inside and out, with comfortable 2 bedroom floor plans with 1 or 2 bathrooms, an in-unit washer and dryer, and a garage with extra storage. The lower units have a patio, and the upper units (like the one I live in) have cathedral ceilings and a large balcony that is perfect for enjoying the scenic natural setting. The wildlife around here is majestic! I see deer, rabbits, and a wide variety of species of colorful birds on a daily basis -- I even saw a turkey on my way to work once! If you love nature, this is the perfect place for you. The property is conveniently located close to shopping and dining in Greenfield, West Allis, New Berlin, and Hales Corners. The office staff have been very helpful and the maintenance workers have been efficient and courteous while performing repairs. And, the property has just opened up a beautiful new clubhouse with a fitness center and party room available for rental. My only (very minor) complaint about the property is that the wall unit air conditioner in my apartment is very loud, even on the "quiet cool" setting, but the convenience, comfort, and beauty of the property make that issue easy to get over. And, as an added bonus, if you're a nerd like me, you get to say that you live in The Shire! :)
I lived in Rivershire apartment complex for full 12 years and was very sad when I had to move out. Chicago is bigger city and has much to offer, but apartments in Chicago are not even close to Rivershire. I miss everything from nice neighbors to efficient service from the office, maintenance, contractors... They work like a Swiss clock to make tenants feel welcome and happy. Keep the great work, Rivershire team! Sanja
The lack of storage space was very disappointing and made it impossible for me to live there.
This has been a great apartment for me. I had previously owned a home and this was the perfect place to go without owning. The office has been great and always helpful. Maintenance has always been quick to respond and very kind. My neighbors have a been great even after a few coming and going in 3 yrs spent here. It is time to move on in my life but this was a perfect "in between" for my next chapter.
Excellent Location. Big enough garages to get a Yukon in with a motorcycle. Always quick to do a service order. Quite overall location, rarely hear neighbors, for an apartment. Well kept, safe place. So close to the freeway going anywhere. Can't say enough about the staff. They have a couple seasonal parties a year, which I always had a lot of fun with. Pool is nice but it does not get a lot of use. They also have a fair workout room with a cable TV if you need to get in some CV exercise during the winter. Great catering and whoever brings drinks is awesome. The staff in the office have always been terrific. So have the maintenance guys. Walking distance to a the oak leaf trail, and a number of restaurants and fun bars.
