Although the name implies otherwise, beautiful East Shreveport is located about eight miles south of Downtown Shreveport. East Shreveport begins along a bend in the Red River, directly across from the Red River National Wildlife Refuge, providing locals with easy access to boating and fishing. The neighborhood is also just north of Louisiana State University-Shreveport. This wooded neighborhood is filled with parks, restaurants, shopping plazas, and is near several medical center so residents have easy access to an abundance of amenities. East Shreveport has rentals in every style from affordable apartments to large single-family houses. Highway 1 and Interstate 49 make traveling throughout Shreveport easy.

Property Ratings at RIVERSIDE OAKS APARTMENTS
Definitely not as advertised. Went 4 months with no dishwasher. I sent maintenance request 3 times and once verbally. AC was broken for 7 months and in the middle of summer. Sent multiple maintenance request. Racked up on electric bill to get 72 degrees but only went down to 78 degrees when it was 95 degrees outside! Constantly have cockroaches. We pay for pest control but i still have to pay out of pocket to to deal with it myself If there is maintenance be ready to be woken up at 9AM. Good luck to those who work a night shift and/or graveyard shift. One time i was woken up around 7 am for lawn mowing on a SATURDAY! and I worked a really late night, night shift the night before. Also, if they do maintenance inside your apartment they don't clean up after themselves. Oh the mess i had to clean up Apartment managers are of no help and always have mean faces, specially the front desk, very rude actually. I always felt hesitant to pick up my packages because of her. They are definitely not here to help residents to have a wonderful living experience here. Always in the office and not helping residents. Unsafe place. There were multiple shootings while i was living here. Trash everywhere. One day to use the pool. Laundry not working or broken and basically ate my money. Everything was painted over, insects, screws and even multiple blades. Unsanitary place to live. When it rains you need a canoe to get to your apartment. The road is gravel and full of potholes. The sewage never did get fixed in many places so it's always stinky. The only good thing i could say about this place is Sophie, but she left right away when i moved in here. I heard that they do accept Veteran's Disability as part of your income but i guess most places do. I would've moved out sooner if i didn't have to pay to cancel my lease. Make sure to ask for fees that are not included in your rent because I didn't see those coming. Most of them were not even mentioned on the lease on how much.THIS PLACE IS NOT WORTH IT. There's a reason why more than half of this property is vacant. I wish I listened to the other reviews. The price isn't worth the stress. This place stressed me out so much.
