Property Ratings at Riverside Village Apartments
Staff was very friendly, informative, and the place is clean.
Came in for a tour and the staff were very nice and helpful! Answered all questions I had. Would recommend.
Ive been living here for about a year now and i gotta say im very impressed with how they handle everything from work orders to cleaning the main entrance of the buildings. Always very polite and respectful when explaining things if you ask a question, i couldn’t ask for a better group in the main office.
I’ve been a resident here for a little over 2 years. Anytime I need anything, and I mean anytime, riverside is there to help. During hours the wonderful office staff will walk you through the ins and outs of any questions or concerns you have. If there’s an issue maintenance is there same day to address it. The only time it may take some time is when something needs ordering, but you are informed through the whole process. After hours, maintenance is there to call. Peaceful to say the least.
I called in a work order for my air conditioner not working. The office staff was nice, bubbly, and put in a work order and had maintenance over very quickly. The maintenance man who came. Tristam, was exceedingly polite and quiet. The did the repair while explaining what he was doing, all while not waking up my son who was asleep in the other room as he works midnights. I was very pleased with the service and staff, and that is exactly why I live here
I've lived here for 12 years. I love my apartment and building. My neighbors are quiet and we all look out for each other. The people in the office are nice and always willing to help. They follow up with work orders to make sure we are happy. The maintenance guys are kind. You can tell they take pride in their work. I plan on staying here for a long time.
Worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. The staff are all incredibly rude. They do not work with you with any problems you have what so ever. They want nothing but money from you and care nothing about your well being. If you were thinking about moving here do not, I promise you you will regret it. The bugs that come in these apartments are absolutely disgusting, everything falls apart as soon as you touch it. Can't want for my lease to be over so I can get out of this place they call apartments. If you do decide to live here I only suggest working with randy. She is the only lady who has actually been respectful to us and has not had a constant attitude.
This place is terrible; They do inspections every couple weeks and by inspections i mean creepy maintenance coming into your home if your there or not. I could understand if they actually maintenance something or were checking something but that never happens. Their inspections last Monday - Friday from 8:30-5:30 and they never give you an exact time or day. So unless you want some stranger having access to all your stuff you better take a week off work so you can sit around and wait. Its a terrible set up. they tell you they only do inspections twice a year, but that is not the case. Official inspection is twice a year but they will need to maintenance the AC, plumbing, lighting, mortgage inspections, city inspections. So they are in your apartment once every 2 months at the least and it is a week event each time. Every year rent goes up 40.00 a month, so if you are planning on staying more then a year keep that in mind. If you do decide to rent here; DO NOT rent an upstairs apartment. In the summer it is always 15 degrees hotter then outside and with the air on at best you can only get to outside temp it elevates my electric bill 200.00 a month with my air on just so i can keep my apartment the same temp as the out side. I called the office but they informed me that this is normal; nothings wrong with my unit. I cant wait to move out of here.
This place is cheap. And you will know it the second you walk in. Smoke from other apartments covers my clothing and every belonging from my neighbors, even though I have never smoked. Several complaints to management have yeilded no results. The hallways are disgusting and I go to a laundromat to avoid having my clothes further destroyed by the odor. Kitchen counter tops are repainted between tenants, meaning they stain within seconds and are impossible to restore to any semblance of clean within a week of occupancy. There are tons of huge brown spiders and other assorted horrifying insects. Thankfully the neighbors are quiet. Office staff are indifferent and rude. I would not move here again.
First off the apartment above is much more updated than the actual apartments. Expect old floor and old rough carpet. The buildings are old and the rent is actually quite expensive considering that you can find nicer for less in the area. The windows are about as cheap as you can get and arent even properly sealed. The window can blow right throw closed windows and I very often have wasps fly through closed windows. My freezer doesnt even have a shelf; when I asked about it multiple times over the course of a year they keep telling me they cant get one and do nothing about it. The hallways are more times than not quite filthy and rarely vacuumed. The air conditioning is cool at best and will have to be ran for several hours to drop the apartment temperature only a few degrees. The bath tub has no drain plug so a bath is out of the question, the faucet will continue to run when you have it set to shower, and the showers use these cheap valves that constantly randomly break. I've also found cockroaches on several occasions (which is quite disgusting) Im not hard to please but these apartments are quite the train wreck. If you're in a bind and need a place fast and are willing to settle then try them out. Otherwise you're best to pass this place up and look at all the other options in the area.
You honestly get what you pay for. Rent is cheap and so is the service her. Office staff changes often. Manager is not understanding in the least. Hallways are not taken care of. Apartments are poor quality and have many things that could be upgraded but again you get what you pay for. Bathroom tub is poor quality and it chips-instead of property replacing it, it gets painted over with each new resident which is why it chips. Closest doors are not leveled. Vanity in master bedroom is disgusting. Rent somewhere else and save your $. Nonstop noise from upstairs. Not just from neighbors but from boiler equipment or whatever else they have up in their maintance room. W/ D are community access (1 per building) and are never available when they are even working and you have to pay to use. Random people always walking around at all hours. And the hallway of my building constantly smells like weed. I will not be renewing my lease here under any circumstances.
Out of all the buildings they have, there is only one dog building. Was told could not have window coverings to block any light from coming into the bedroom but other people have window covings in their apartment. Apartment is a decent size, maintenance worker is nice, everyone in the office seems nice but only because they have to be. Able to paint the walls any color which is nice. If you need a place to stay just for about a year this place works.
Moved here in the summer & we have a bad spider problem. Beetles get in & have made a few requests for maintance & nothing has been done. You would think cus we are by a river the bug problems would have a little more control so the residents aren't living with bugs. Have found about 10 wolf spiders in my home.
This apartment is very spacious and nice . Price range is fair and very quiet living surrounding.
This apartment is great and amazing. Safe and comfortable and its nice out here. I have been here for a month so far and its looks great.
These apartments are good for a family of four. The noise in and around the neighborhood isn't much, the lawn and landscaping is kept up pretty nicely. The kitchen has lots of space for pots and pans and the livingroom and bedrooms in the two bedroom apartment are a decent size for a 900 square foot place. I would recommend it for someone who wants a decent place for a decent price. Plus it is close to a lot of shopping places and schools! I've lived here with my bf and two kids for almost 3yrs and it is pretty nice.
