Property Ratings at Riverstone Apartments
Lived here just under a year. In February I found that I had a roach in my unit. They have exterminators on site every Friday so they put you on the list. 3 weeks of no shows later I find two more roaches. They finally spray. Come out for a few weeks the. Bam the roaches are back again. And again and again and again. Needless to say after months of exterminators coming out (5months or so they finally spray all the units in the building) I have had to empty my cabinets on 3 separate occasions for a deep spray down (of them only doing my unit) 7 months later now, I saw another cockroach today in my unit on my window. I’ve had to buy my own sticky pads, sprays, and other traps to get rid of them. They have come out of the outlets, found one in my microwave, in my bed and I’ve even been bitten by them. (My house is clean no open food out, garbage taken out, house wiped down I have OCD I do not like things dirty) it is purely disgusting to say the least. The laundry rooms are filthy. My shower gets a random pink sludge in it from standing water. Dirt come in the closed windows (haven’t had my window open in 3 months because of fear the roaches are coming in from outside, I scrubbed my windows with Clorox wipes for dirt to still be all over them) the kicker they wouldn’t do anything to show their apologies for allowing someone to live in this type of environment instead if I renew my lease they are increasing my rent. Plus all the tenants are disgusting throwing garbage in front of dumpsters, garbage is constantly flying everywhere. Also, Good luck finding a parking spot. This isn’t even mentioning the numerous time the police are in the parking lot for some sort of disturbance. RUN!!!!!! Don’t walk RUN away from this place if you can help it!!!

We are deeply sorry to learn you feel so poorly about our community. However, we can assure you that we aim to take very good care of this community, which is why we have pest control scheduled to visit the community every Friday as a preventative measure to ensure the community does not experience any unwanted pests. Should your home be experiencing pests we invite you to submit a work order and let us know so we can schedule your home for a treatment. At this time we do not have any pending work orders for pest concerns. Parking is limited to residents, so if you are having trouble finding a spot, please let out team know so we can help fix the problem. Should you have any questions, please let a member of our team know and we would be happy to help you! Thank you!
First day of move in found roaches. Notified the office and exterminator came out. Problem went away for a week and they were back. The same process has been going on since FEBRUARY of this year. Nothing is working. Roaches are in the hallway and I’ve literally seen one come into my apartment from under the door. Rain was constantly coming inside apartment causing carpet to be soaked and smell. Everytime it happened we had to call the office for them to send someone out to vacuum the water up. Apartment was FILTHY once moved in. Everything in the apartment is old which is constantly causing breaking. The community just feels so nasty due to trash always on the ground. Hallways feel dirty due to the nasty carpet and nasty walls. Parking sucks. Car got towed TWICE for no reason due to them saying my sticker wasn’t in the window and it clearly was once I had to Uber to the tow shop to show them. So many cars parked illegally and have no sticker in the window but they never get towed. I hate it here so bad. I definitely don’t want to stay another year.

If you give us a chance, our intent is focused on making this right and hope you will allow us to speak with you to discuss the situation. Please reach out to us at your earliest convenience.
If you like surprise fees this is the place for you. They’ll take on monthly junk fees and call them “Administration Fees,” and when you ask about it they give you the run around and blame others. I recommend you stay away and find a place with a little more honesty.

i moved in to this apartment only to find roaches in my apartment. this place sucks the manager Monica was soo rude and mean to her tenants. I was only given 200 out of my 650 deposit and they kept giving me stupid excuses.

The apartments suck they have a serious pest problem. The office staff never seems to know their left from their right either. They take forever to get anything done. And when it comes to figuring out your rent they act like they don’t no basic math.

We appreciate the valuable feedback and are sorry to hear that you feel you had an experience less than stellar. If you need any work done to your apartment, please call our office or stop by to put in a maintenance request. We strive to improve and hope that we can provide better service going forward.
I’ve only been here two months with my son and I’m 100% certain we won’t stay another year. There are ants appearing in every room because the place was half fixed/clean. Things were becoming more noticeable as time went on. I over looked these thinking I will clean everyday and just fix it. It has become out of hand and having a baby in the house limits cleaning chemicals. You tell the office the issue they have one of their maintenance guys inspect your home and out traps. Already did that myself!! You can never get ahold of anyone on the phone so you have to physically show up at the office when your schedule allows. Every time I go in there’s a new face but still not enough employees. This place is definitely overpriced. You pay for ALL BILLS SEPARATELY along with the amount for an ant infested house. Look at every detail, make sure you get names and copies of all documents, and a full print out of what you’re paying for not a ballpark estimate they try to give you of what the bills would be.
How do you promote a fitness center. But you allow some of your tenants to not have a key to enter the work out room? Been here for a while now. The staff continues to lie to us about obtains our fitness room key.
Katia was phenomenal!!! This is the easiest rent process and top notch communication through out. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Very spacious units too. I'll give Katia and cos a 100 if I could.

We filled the application in may needed to move in before the first of july. I always had to called to know where the status of the application was if not they wouldn't never called me. It took them more than a month to say no because our income was too much. And till this date we haven't received our check back. HORRIBLE SERVICE!!
My daughter came here to look for an apartment. She was denied because her income was over the limit. We were told that the deposit would be mailed to her. After over two months of calling and waiting the check never came. Sue, the manager, kept giving us the run around. After I called the corporate office, Sue, turned my call accusing me of cashing the check. Needless to say I was out ragged. I will be following up with the attorney general and news channel because I'm sure I'm not the only one.
I have lived at Riverstone for 4 days. My car has been towed TWICE right out of the parking lot in front of my building. This has set me back $500 already. The management team was unapologetic, rude, and argumentative when I brought this very valid concern to their attention. Because of an error on my paperwork caused by one of their employees, they would not give me my permanent resident parking pass. They gave me a two visitor pass, that at the time was given to me and guaranteed to be valid for a week. I HAVE ONLY LIVED HERE FOUR DAYS AND ALREADY DEEPLY REGRET IT. The apartment hallways reek of trash and there is no where for visitors to park and avoid being towed as well. I strongly advise living ANYWHERE but here!
Crappy staff, the worst tenant and landlord relationship I have ever had. There was mold growing in my apartment and destroy some of my belongings and they nothing to replace or fix the problem. In the beginning, The landlord told me I could not afford to live there so why was I applying. I got the carpet clean and clean the apartment very well and receive less than one third of my deposit back. Don’t move here, you’ll regret it!!

Worst apartments i have ever stayed in!! Rhonda and sue should be fired for the rrats roaches they lie about!!!

We are sorry to hear you've had such a negative experience here and that your perception of our community has gone downhill. We do our best to provide a relaxed and comfortable home life for all those who call us home and apologize that we've fallen short of this goal in your instance. As you noted, we do have procedures in place to address pest issues should they ever arise. If this issue is ongoing, please call the office so that we can put additional procedures in place to combat this problem. We invite you to please call the office at your earliest convenience and schedule an appointment to speak with management. We look forward to hearing from you, addressing any ongoing concerns, and improving your experience at our community. Thank you.
Great staff! Extremely informed and very friendly and welcoming! Go to Mariela! Gave great service and was very honest and helpful, overall experience was perfect!!! I definitely recommend!!
Parking sucks ( find a park before 9pm, and pray on holidays) additional parking $90 a month for half a garage. Shared building utilities ,(over charge even with 40% paid by apartment ). No central A/C (a pain in the summer, you can never get every room cool) Management sketchy, watch yourself on fees and balances ( office loves to come up with ways to get your money) Grounds clean, some of the most beautiful in the area. New Tenets may cause trouble with bugs and mice may get in from outside.
I have read some bad review about Riverstone Apartments, but I have had nothing but a good experience. I have a first floor apartment and I have NEVER had any issues with flooding or water coming through my carpet. My neighbors are very considerate and keep to themselves. I have had one maintenance issue and I spoke with the woman in charge and had them fix the issue the same day. I never have any issues with the staff either. I have sometimes seen some questionable people walking around from time to time but for the most part I see a lot of families walking around and kids playing outside. My car did get towed once but it was my fault for not having the required sticker, so at least I know they do tow cars nightly. Over all it is a decent prices place to live.
apartment ok. inferior in many ways. paper thin walls. cracks in outside walls (foundation settling walls) windows dont close all the way/or difficult to close, therefore hard to keep weather out and cool air in. Management is very rude and condesending. Cleanliness of the hallways and vestibules is poor. Railings missing from outside stairs. Overall, I would not recommend this complex to anyone.
When my partner and I found this apartment we were very excited to move in. The people in the business office are very friendly and helpful, the grounds are well groomed and the buildings clean. Compared to many other places in town and considering that the complex is affordable housing this impressed us greatly. Before we moved in our walls were freshly painted, new linoleum had been put in, and within a week we had new carpeting because we requested it. It is also great to have, at no additional cost to us- access to two pools, two workout rooms, a media room with free Wi-Fi and computer access, as well as a cushy indoor theater for entertaining. But our excitement quickly faded. Upon paying our first month's rent we were charged $100 over what we expected, only to be pointed out some fine print way too late to change our minds on the lease. Because we weren't prepared for this, our rent was late and we were forced to pay outrageous fees on top of the extra $100. The office does not take cash/credit card/personal check payments.. only expensive money orders and electronic payments that charge high fees. The apartment itself is not bad. Maintenance services respond quickly, but barge into apartment without knocking. We have 1 window air conditioner in the living room but it doesn't cool the bedroom. There is a building wide fire alarm system in the halls between apartments that is broken and has beeped every five minutes for the last 5-6 months. I realize that people generally get what they pay for (meaning that I shouldn't complain about the irritations when the apartment is affordable housing living,) but we got tricked into the price of the apartment.
Riverstone is a decent apartment complex but they charge a lots of fees and the fees are not cheap.
