Property Ratings at RiverWalk Luxury Living
We made a appointment to visit on Friday after we arrived from the Airport and were moving in on the following Monday afternoon. They are very efficient & understood that I would be starting my new position at Eisenhower Hospital in just a few days. Upon entering Riverwalk I was thinking these must be private condos, with private patios, grassy areas ,two pools, BBQ and comfy sitting areas. Only one wall that is joined and no one on top of us. My wife and I have lived in a few other places and we just love the mountain views and the joy that we can actually walk to the Cheesecake Factory and the movies. The Cons: When we moved in my wife noticed that the weather stripping on the front door was loose, by the next morning the maintenance crew had repaired the issue.
We came to view these apartments after doing thorough research in the area. The location is great and the apartment itself is fantastic. However, the management is strange. Elizabeth showed us the model and available apartment. She did not give us a tour. She just opened the door to the apartment and let us walk through it without saying or explaining anything. Immediately after we looked at it she said verbatim, “So are you going to fill out an application or what?” Mind you, we had to ask questions to get any information from her. When we asked about getting more information or a sheet with all the apartment information (which all the 5 apartment complexes we had toured earlier than day had) she stated that she didn’t have anything. It was a very odd and unprofessional experience. We were in and out in less than 8 minutes. Other cons: No covered parking. If you have a second vehicle, you have to park in the street. Also, there are no options for paying rent or filling out an application online. You must return to the complex to get these completed. Overall, we were impressed with the apartment itself. But the idea of dealing with this type of management was a complete turn off and not worth the risk.

Unfortunately, Mark and Amy own a 8 unit building that is 2 blocks away and this is a fictional review. We welcome anyone to come and visit RiverWalk so you can make us your home.
Leading up to turning in an application Dawn and Elizabeth were very helpful. Immediately after turning the application in it was nearly impossible to talk to someone on the phone or receive a callback. I filled out the application to their exact specifications and followed directions. When I finally received a callback, I was told they would not even bother running my credit report. When I asked for an explanation, I was not given one and was treated incredibly rudely. Dawn is undeniably unprofessional to the point of disbelief. The unit itself is very lovely and clean, but the idea of dealing with this rental company and specifically Dawn would deter any potential renter.

As we explained to you and your mother, it is RiverWalk's policy that we do not rent any of our units on short term leases or rent out for any of the weekend music festivals. This is why the application was not accepted.
The manager of these apartments Lupe is very aggressive. They also will not fix anything if it is broken. I had a simple leak that they refused to fix that turned into mold. There are way better apartments out there.

I am sorry that things did not work out for you here at RiverWalk. We do not allow residents to rent their units out on Airbnb or any other rental platforms. We are a very quiet complex and respect that all of the residents have a relaxing place to enjoy the pool and bbq areas.
We viewed an apartment which looked very nice, and we talked to an owner/manager who reminded us of our grandmother, sounded like a sweet little old lady. So we decided to submit an application. That’s when things got really weird. After we were approved we started getting harrased about when we could come in to sign the lease. “Can you be here by five? How about tomorrow morning? What about your lunch break? What does your wife do with her lunch break?” It was almost like we were talking to a used car salesman trying to close a deal. We said we wanted a night to think about it, and the reply was “If you have to think about it, then it doesn’ seem like you really want it.” Also, everything was advertised as “first month free” which isn’t true. Its a month starting from the moment you sign the lease, which needs to be the day your application is approved. In our case we already had an apartment, and needed to give 30 days notice. But we were told we had to sign the lease and take possesion of the apartment that day! It also wasn’t a full month free, it was the rest of the current month, which was only 3 weeks. When we asked about everything (website, brochure, etc) saying “first month free” the owner/manager pretty much accused my wife of being a liar, saying “my notes say that I told you all about this on our first call”. Which obviously wasn’t true because we wouldn’t have wasted a weekend going through the whole application process if we had known the truth. The units were very nice, but after dealing with the owners/managment, there was no way we were getting locked into a lease with these people. Definitely feel like we dodged a bullet.........
The place is across the street from The River and I happen to work in the center....so I walk to work. It is run like a hotel as the staff are very cool and efficient. The last place I lived there were people on top of me, but all of the units are condo's with nobody on top of me and only 1 connecting wall....and it has a washer/dryer inside the unit. The place had just re-opened when I was first here about 9 months ago and the place looks legit. It is a very quiet complex.
